Insanity on Poloniex today. Hope nobody here got hit too hard by any of the lag and outages. XBC is down close to .03 and has done very well given its recent large rise and natural course of testing the strength and limits of holders. Today everything was getting sold as quickly as possible to buy ripple and/or in the face of the site wide chaos as lag and server problems rendered it inoperable for a period of almost 3 hours. Today was about as bad as it gets in terms of a stress test other than a purposeful dump. I'd say anyone who was on and didn't fully believe in XBC probably would have sold today given the overall feel of the market.

That's an interesting comparison. I am very relaxed with a lot of time for XBC although today I did get extremely frustrated at Poloniex with the site lag, not for any trades related to XBC. It does seem that XBC traders (the major ones) are well capitalized and patient as well based on past market maneuvers. I spent a good part of the day just trying to figure out what was going on at Poloniex because of a few side trades I had when the site went down. I ended up not losing any money but it was a strong reminder about the importance of believing in the coins you plan on holding, realizing that the others who do may not be in a rush to overpay, and that sell offs are buying opportunities. Since our big rise it has been nice day trading other coins but today's action way scary more because of concerns over how chaotic the exchange was and the 'what ifs' like what if you had a highly overcollateralized margin account and then they ran the stops like they did and you were locked out? I was feeling for people that happened to but at the same time I wish they would just buy some xbc and stake it. I try to avoid mentioning the coin on the trollbox unless someone asks about it. XBC seems to punish people who try to trade it with a defined time frame, at least in its old price range. I'll leave this for my thoughts on crypto at the moment as it relates to trading on Poloniex and XBC  Grin

What just happened to XBC is exactly what happened to Bitcoin June of 2011. It went from a few $$$ up to $30 to $60. It dropped down to $5 and I threw a fit. "Scam!!!" I said. Then it rose, and rose, and rose, and rose, and got famous. I said yeah well Bitcoin needs banks and hell will freeze over before that happens. Then it happened. Then Bitcoin went to $1161. Now it's on it's way to $2000+.

Bitcoin Plus is following exactly in the footsteps of its brother Bitcoin. Except Bitcoin Plus is special. It's more rare 21 Bitcoin to 1 Bitcoin Plus and its happier feel better more positive just the best. And is not going to split up down the road either. And since Bitcoin has already paved the path will be much easier for XBC to conquer.

Relax and give it time. We are kicking upwards non-stop behind the scenes, spending real money to do these things, and are getting the job done.

You also have to remember that Bitcoin Plus is extremely well capitalized on its own and has financial support as well. This is an incalculable advantage over other coins.

Yes we hope for a came back  around 5usd and then see the right value with more volume and more exchange hopefully

This Bitcoin split is so bad. There is going to be 16 million BCC, 16 million BTU, 0 BTC, WTF?Huh? I feel bad for everybody involved including the exchanges.

Just a heads up we are preparing for a mass spike in users for the apparent death of BTC.

XBC will always be XBC, will always be 1 million XBC total, and will always be unified. No inner wars in XBC.

You are quite wright things are not looking well regarding this split however ppl still have an other option which strongly indicates a decent ROI, as you mention once 1 xbc =21btc,why not?
myself keep buying as much as l can.
Thanks

I believe for the moment this thing are enough for pump and dump, something like zcash...could be a very good start especially if btc team take wrong decision.

Bitcoinplus wallet will be undergoing some upgrades to increase both security and utility shortly.Unlike previous upgrades there shouldnt be interruption to the network or trading being frozen but will advise further if users will be required to do anything other than download a new wallet.

What is bootstrap.dat and how do I know if I am using it?  Is this a mandatory upgrade?  I prefer not tampering with my wallet at this time unless absolutely necessary, to avoid any risk of error, and just wait until a new wallet version is ready.

Bootstrap.dat I think it would used to all those who want to download and sync quickly the wallet. Correct me if I'm wrong "BitcoinPlusBus".

It is basically the full blockchain compressed in to a file that can be placed into your executables in order to help speed up the blockchain downloading process. It takes a small amount of technical knowledge but is not a complicated process. If you are uncomfortable with using it just carry on as normal

There has been no news from alex and it has been some time since we last spoke to him on skype however he is on this forum longer than any of us so we probably should refrain from jumping to conclusions for now.It would be nice if he adopted a more active approach of course.
