Not at all, keeping in mind that the economy of the world is dependent on US dollar so it is very difficult for any other currency whether it is fiat or crypto-currency to replace it. It will take a long time to replace bitcoin over dollar, but the chance is very low.

It would be more easy dollar replace bitcoin then the reverse, if USA wanna to buy all bitcoins they are able to make such, sure they cant expose themselfes but they can easy buy all the bitcoins on circulating.

There is no need for the dollar to replace bitcoin because the dollar preceded bitcoin and is the dominant force in the world economy. There is nothing that bitcoin is doing that threatens the dollar's dominance or status as an international reserve currency.

In other words, bitcoin cannot compete with dollars because we are just relying to dollars. Since USA is a very develop countries and their currency is very strong, we cannot beat them as we are only operating under the crypto world. The population of the supporters are not that big for bitcoin to be independent.

I strongly believe if bitcoin development and be much use in the next 15 years, and I believe bitcoin will experience very rapid progress. But to replace the dollar I was very dubious because the currency until whenever will still be there in my opinion. Although the era of digital currency has started to use a lot of people but the dollar will also remain in use due to the payment directly use the money very quickly and without process.

There is no need for Bitcoin to beat the American dollar, the Euro or the British Pound would suffice. In fact, the Chinese Yuan getting devalued another 10% would bring to Bitcoin more users than the total collapse of the Quid, for example. But to say that Bitcoin relies on the US dollar would necessarily mean that it also relies on other major currencies as well since it is traded for them too. So how can it possibly benefit from the collapse of one such currency in this case?

Just in case, most of Bitcoin trading volume comes from the BTC-CNY pair, not Bitcoin traded for the US dollar

It is unlikely that this will happen soon. However, it is possible that this could happen in the future. Bitcoin is unpredictable

I see many possibilities for bitcoin but replacing a strong currency like the US dollar. No that's not what bitcoin is capable to do so. At least at his moment. Because most investors are very patiently waiting if bitcoin even will get some stability

Bitcoin is already stable currently and growing steadily towards high values, so I don't think that you will get that kind of "dormant" stability if you are expecting it from this, because this ain't a controlled but free market, where it is free to rise and fall too...

Total stability isn't something that people are eagerly waiting for. The market in its current form is far more interesting and profitable for all kinds of people, compared to a level where the price isn't moving at all. That's why we must be happy with how Bitcoin is right now. Some people like stability, and others like volatility. Both groups get what they are looking for with Bitcoin.

That's what I wanted to explain to those who thing that big bagholders and whales just don't like the stability and they are more interested in liquid markets, but IMHO, they ain't... They just want this to remain stable so that they might sell and get out slowly and party hard whenever they want by selling small cut-outs from their large portfolios...

I think bitcoin does not have any possibility to change the currency of a country, because it will depend on the government in a country, but bitcoin has the possibility and potential to become a global currency and is used by many people in the world, yeah today bitcoin being flourish

Bitcoin werent made to replace anything, it were bringed as an option and allow all who use it to save the fees value between transactions, soo some companies loose some costumers, but people always will choose the best for them. Bitcoin cant replace any currencie, some country might adopt bitcoins as secondary currencie but the limit of 21 milion coins, less the losted and burned coins, cant run a country, even with 1 bitcoin worthing 4000 dollars.

That's for sure, bitcoin is just created to be use as an alternative way to transact online and we are still using fiat to cash out and buy bitcoins, we have to understand that reality and not just saying things that will never happen in the future.

Without currency can replace another currency and also bitcoin is decentralized and dollar is centralize currency how do bitcoin replace dollar? it can't.
Dollar can use for our daily living while bitcoin is not yet accepted in all stores in the world we need to exchange into fiat first before to spend.

They have different features and the good thing is we can benefit on both so why would we wish to replace each other or to make a competition. Dollar is good because it is the strongest fiat in the world and that is the standard currency to measure the value of bitcoins.

Coinbase CEO believes bitcoin will replace dollar within 15 years.

Read the following news:
http://cointelegraph.com/news/114983/coinbase-ceo-bitcoin-will-replace-dollar-within-15-years

Do you think it will be true? Are you positive towards bitcoin's future status?
Well USD dollar will never replace bitcoin as the main currency of the united states even there are more users who uses bitcoin in there country bitcoin is always depending on the usd dollar so it has a price but if usd dollar will be dead probably the bitcoin will be dead as well soon and the future of bitcoin has big difference

If the bitcoin is used widely in other countries, the American people will also use the bitcoin a lot. It will take some time though.
True but American people now are using bitcoin for there daily expenses i think there are some or few online store that accepting bitcoin as a payment and they adopting it so that they could use it into another shop also hopeso that bitcoin can be use worldwide and it can be a currency too
