No, I don't think that it will replace dollar sooner, for reaching to that standard bitcoin would have to remain successful in the field of world business for a few years more.

No I do not see it happen that the bitcoin will replace any currency these days, it needs way more popularity to do this. The bitcoin is still not globally known these days.

Yeah and bitcoin is too small in compare to dollar and there are many people across the globe who are not aware about the bitcoin yet, so bitcoin replacing dollar seems to be difficult at this stage.

But we also need to keep on mind poor, illiterate and uneducated people who don't have any relation with technology, we cannot expect them to use bitcoin even if it hits the mainstream.

No the bitcoin will never win it from the dollar, the dollar is way too strong these days and the bitcoin is still unstable and the future of it is also not good as we cannot predict it of course.

Considering that not all areas in the world are able to access the technology to use bitcoin and the fact that bitcoin is not very well known among many people, I do not believe that bitcoin will ever replace the dollar. Bitcoin may become a popular way to spend and invest money, but the chance of it replacing our current currency is very low.

Of course we cannot expect everybody use bitcoins, and even the title of the thread only says about dollars, how about other countries who are using pesos, or yuan, we have different currencies per countries but I think the most adopters of bitcoins came from countries using dollars as their legal tender.

Just like what they say. You cant please everybody. Not everyone will like a free currency some wants to abide by rules and laws musy be used specially when it comes to money.

I honestly don't think it'll happen, certainly not in 15 years... In 100 years maybe?
Honestly I think that it is never going to happen because the Dollar has been around for to long and the Bitcoin is still beginning. Maybe the Dollar will take over the Bitcoin.

I don't think so. Us dollar is an international and very established money. To many countries (to not tell almost all) have their reserves in their Central Banks mostly in us dollar. Has almost the status of gold. Bitcoin has the qualities of being reserve money (is uninflationable) but I think that it is insufficient to fulfill the requests of all the countries. I dont think that is possible only becaus if you think clearly bitcoins exist out of dollars or witch valuta you want and i dont think you can replace that of dollar is gone what is a bitcoin?

I dont think it was ever meant to compete in the 1st place lol. Most say this view because when they go exchange it it can be translated to dollars, but it shouldnt just look as a competitor. Its more a mechanism for moving money if anything else.

That's the fact that bitcoin may replace other currencies but dollar will never be, dollar is the most powerful currency in the world because US government is very strong and powerful. It only will be change once the US congressmen will create a bill for the replacement of US dollar by bitcoin to their money system.

They mean where the Bitcoin isn't pegged to any currency anymore and everybody deals in Bitcoin. So you won't need to sell a bitcoin to pay electricity or rent, you just give Bitcoin for it. Obviously it will take a long time to establish a new economy, especially the global nature of Bitcoin.

Of course, it should be the big countries should have a massive use of bitcoins as they are more educated when it comes to digital currency, other poor countries will be having a hard time to comprehend what bitcoin is due to their less capability to adopt and understand.

There's no chance even it takes a long time to add it as our fiat.. bitcoin is just a digital currency anytime it can be disappear or down.. this is just a progam you can not touch it.. and bitcoin can be alive only in online.. just think it first there's no chance that bitcoin will be fiat..
