if I have to be honest, I do not think that the bitcoin will ever do this anytime soon but I also think that it will never happen, its just too much to ask from the bitcoin.

The most are thinking this and I agree about this because I think its not possible, the dollar is way more used and another fact is that the bitcoin is also depending on the dollar market right now, when this will not be the fact anymore it got a small chance.

Bitcoins ain't depending on dollar market but the thing is, the valuation of bitcoins needs to be done in fiat unless we valuate it through other ways and that's hard in case people start using bitcoins that way because they are here mostly for profits...

i think no bitcoin is not going to replace Dollar so soon,  as still a very little number of people are using bitcoin and most of the people are still depending on Dollar therefore it is not possible that bitcoin will replace Dollar so soon.
The amount of people using Bitcoin doesn't really make a difference in this case.

It's the government that has the power to make a change in the financial system and the economy that is fully depending on fiat.

Bitcoin is a great alternative for people looking to escape from the current banking system. Financial freedom is it called.

BSV is not the real Bcash. Bcash is the real Bcash.

I never think that Bitcoin will be able to replace the US Dollar because I just do not see something like that happening. The US knows what they are doing.
Bitcoin does not need to take over the US Dollar, it needs to walk on its own path.

I have the exact same opinion, how would bitcoin become powerful enough to reach the level of the USD or even higher?
USD has been around for so long that it's hard to break trough it's foundation at all.

Bitcoin can be known and used worldwide but I think that bitcoin can never replace dollars as the government won't allow it. It's just asking for too much unless the world started using cryptocurrencies instead of fiat's.

Its impossible no one can believe i think if usd can be replace by bitcoin.. bitcoin are still at alternative for payment online and bitcoin are no buyers protection or that you can despute and reverse the payment..
But it is still good as alternative payment if bitcoin is accepted locally..

Bitcoin its an extra way to buy and sell anything, a new financial mode to see and do any transaction, besides that it has became a currencie, atleast i do see bitcoin as both, soo thinking bitcoin to hit or remove anything wont happen, bitcoin is showing how the things should be done, our taxes should be avaible to all see where the money is going.

But if the banks want they can order a developer to hire him for creating a wallet for themselves and then they can run an online wallet with the name of their banks and they can then control over bitcoin and they will not face any lose with bitcoin adoption.

That is the fact that I don't want to accept. But I am thinking that if the US government is the one that will introduce the usage of bitcoin to its citizen. Then for sure the nearby countries and I think almost all countries are going to do the same as they are depending to the most powerful country in the world. It may not happen today but I think it will in the future.

After the Greek crisis, the amount of people intending to switch to BTC increased significantly, but never officially was it declared a permanent option.

Now, there are loads of places that have large Bitcoin populations, although they tend to exchange with common value.

During extreme times, it may appear useful to acknowledge Bitcoin as a payment source, but I don't believe it will ever replace standardized currencies due to the new way existing startups make exchanges happen. It goes from issued currency --> acquiring through wallet transactions.

Big countries should start legalizing the use of bitcoin and we will achieve massive adoption, but I doubt the government will do that as in the first place the real concept of bitcoin is being anonymous and if we want to be legalize we need to be transparent and will require every user to divulge its personal information.

What do you mean by this? If I'm not mistaken, the merchants are basically free in choosing what to accept as a means of payment (a foreign currency or Bitcoin, for that matter), though accepting payment in anything but the US dollar can further complicate accounting. If you mean that the authorities would start accepting Bitcoin as legal tender for settlement of "all debts, public charges, taxes, and dues", this will hardly happen in the foreseeable future...

Since allowing that would evidently undermine the stability of and control over the official currency

Coinbase CEO believes bitcoin will replace dollar within 15 years.

Read the following news:
http://cointelegraph.com/news/114983/coinbase-ceo-bitcoin-will-replace-dollar-within-15-years

Do you think it will be true? Are you positive towards bitcoin's future status?
Depends on the situation if USD Dollar will fall apart in that year maybe yes bitcoin will be replacing dollar in 15 years if bitcoin will geting stronger and bitcoin will not be dead in that year and in the future if we can use bitcoin as physical money to buy some what we needs then yes.

This can never happen as people don't really have the confidence to keep their hard earned money digitally which is prone to digital attacks so dollars will continue to rule

If you just save the bitcoin in a offline wallet. It is pretty safe. It is not to be breakeable as it is offline.

Well we have to be realistic. The dollar is the largest currency in the world. Not 1 currency can just replace it. Even the euro or chinese currency.
Many countries use the US dolllar for backing or their economy. Bitcoin can grow and take over a lot of that, but replacing such a large currency iis not going to happen soon.
