Governments don't want something that is uncontrollable. It's either they kill it or acquire it. Same as in bitcoin, It will only replace dollar if it is under the  control of the government, probably a centralized one.

Bitcoin is supporting our digital financial but not for the our real financial. bitcoin is not taking the place of fiat. and bitcoin still have a lot of the home work with the government authorities about to the legal statue.

yes currently its look like impossible but i think it is possible  but late in future not so early. when all people will accept bitcoin and will start bitcoin instead of fiat. then fiat will become useless and bitcoin will surely take its place.

Bitcoin could reach major adoption and yet it will never replace the dollar the US government is not going to allow for any currency other than their own to be legal tender in the US fortunately bitcoin does not have to replace the dollar to become the best currency in the world.

Honestly, we need to be realistic so we will know the real answer. Bitcoin in any way cannot replace Dollar because that currency is too powerful and I even doubt if we can replace a weak currency. The thing is, we do not belong to their level since we are decentralized while every countries currency has their own government to protect and to improve theirs.

I do agree with you. Dollar is too strong to be replaced and I doubt that in the next 10 years Bitcoin can take over dollar. The USA is a strong country which subsidizes many other countries and as you say, many of them depend on the America. Moreover, Bitcoin is an advance technology while there are still countries which are not developed enough to buy equipment and gadgets to use this cryptocurrency. Bitcoin will replace the Dollar but we still have to wait for a long time

Bitcoin will never replaced dollar because dollar is so powerful and the governments and our world needs dollar or fiat because that is the traditional way of doing transaction ever since then. One of the reason why i think bitcoin will never replaced the dollar because it doesn't have fixed value and that will be a chaos for people if a currency doesn't have fixed value because how can they use it appropriately if the value can change anytime.

I agree with what you're saying and to think that the Bitcoin will replace is weird if you understand me. A currency like the Bitcoin is not strong and used enough around the to do something like this. But we live in crazy world so you never know what might happen.

At the current moment bitcoin is a weak currency, but things change dramatically in this world. You never know what happens any second. People are getting famous just by posting a single picture or video these days on social media.

I agree with Natalim, and a little bit for rickadone, it seems like bitcoin will not replace dollar 95% vs 5% that bitcoin could become a major currency and used by everyone in the world, more than dollar could achieve in the future maybe around a century.
Bitcoin cannot pass a country regulations and a government could ban bitcoin as some countries have implemented the restriction.

bitcoin will never replace an official state currency (maybe some weak currencies or in some African countries but I even doubt that), because FIAT currencies are just too strong to be replaced and dollar and EURO could never be replaced by another one.

Maybe some projects of a future countries like that island country that they're planing on making, maybe there bitcoin can be implemented as a main currency from the start, but will never replace any.
