It is depends on the situation of the government you live in, if you are living in a country were government is ruled by corrupt officials of course as an abiding citizen you will feel anxious in paying your taxes because you will realize nothing is happening in your local funds they all going into the pockets of corrupt politicians were as in a less corrupted government where good projects are being implemented for the welfare of its citizen most likely you will feel assured that your taxes paid are being used to develop the economy of your country as well as the safety of its people.

why when politicians and tax advisors claim that taxes exist to help the people they live and tax the poor? What benefits did they get from him? The worst part is how people like you to slaughter the middle class and always try to find out to take all their money rather than spreading the tax evenly so the rich also have to pay the real part.

(I am talking as an European) Personally, I think that taxes are necessary to have (almost free) roads, police, education, healthcare and all the publics infrastructure. If taxes were not existing we would have to pay private companies to protect us, get basic education etc or the current "developed" countries would be war zones with uneducated / crazy people in the streets. At the end, the money you spend on taxes (and so on public services) is the money you don't spend on private services.
But I admit that with all the corruption scandals that popped lately people are feeling like the money they earned is wasted by politicians...

But is that a tax problem? or your lifestyle? Ever stop thinking about the amount of dirt you consume? own? or as a household? Have you ever thought about where this stuff came from? and ends? Do you think this item just appears miraculously and comes from a never ending inventory of goods? Just food to think about, back on topic; If your taxes are not wasted but invested in your country, whether it's health care, welfare, better roads, state-owned energy and so on, do not you find it impossible to make a profit? Do you like to see homeless people?

in Czech R.. you will state takes about 44% of your earnings (social, medical, and taxes.. ) i hate it...
Same thing in Serbia, you pay almost 52% on taxes 'n' shit(things that you mentioned) |

Almost everything you listed could and was private and profitable in history. And it was better handled by free market. For example unions and guilds did a far better job sending good help only to those who really deserves it (for example became disabled at work) and not feeding the parasites that don't want to work like modern governments do on purpose. |

Well who wants to be rob legally? where you can't do anything but accept it, I would agree to pay for it if my taxes will be used for development of my country not to the pockets of a the greedy government official.

That's unfair. A lot of it does go towards the development and maintenance of the country. But just like charities individuals within the system will abuse it. |

Taxes are no more a great thing than a band of thieves robbing a whole village and then using some of the loot to pay for a homeless family's dinner and shelter. It's still theft and it's still wrong.
Your trying to argue tax is theft? I agree I dont like it either and I wish it was less but still it literally pays for everything in your economy that functions well. Roads, schools, unemployment, government employment, healthcare if you are lucky, and I am sure many more. Is it theft when you are able to go to school? Is it theft when you walk on a paved road rather than dirt? Do think about every side of the coin before you speak because your analogy although probably speaks for a lot of individuals is way off base and massively incorrect. |

That is right taxes is something scared for most people. There are a lot of people who do not pay it regularly. They prefer to spend their money for their fun, shopping, traveling, etc. rather than to pay their taxes. We don't really know the reason why they don't pay it. However, it seems they don't want to be lose out if they should to pay it.

Nothing done by government functions well. Best education is private, so as the roads and everything else. Government with its regulations destroys the economy so there are more unemployed and employed receive much less. Do you familiar with the austrian school of economics? |

taxes are actually a great thing but only if everyone pays them and if they are spend on useful things only. Just look out your window and you will see lots of things paid with your taxes you use everyday.
I think it is because taxes take a big part of the salary. That instead of being able to buy good food or pay for a nicer shelter they become more in need. If only they feel where the government has been allocating their taxes i think we won't be hearing any rants. They will be more willing to pay. |

Probably, one of the reason why people are "scared" because of corruption. It is evident in most countries that people in authority or in government "steal" the taxes need to be use for infrastructure and development. Making the public feels uncertain on the taxes they pay. Thanks |

In some countries, taxes are very high. And this is the reason that people hide their profits. I'm willing to pay 3-5 percent of my profits in favor of the state, but I'm not ready to pay 15-30 percent.
