Why are people scared of taxes?

I don't know why ppl are always scared of paying taxes.
taxes are actually a great thing but only if everyone pays them and if they are spend on useful things only. Just look out your window and you will see lots of things paid with your taxes you use everyday.

Mostly, people fear what they don't understand. Taxes are included. They don't know what taxes to pay, how much taxes they should be paying, when should they pay it and mostly how to lessen what taxes they pay. That is one of the reason they're scared of taxes. Next reason will be the penalties and punishment for not paying taxes, specially the ones you didn't know about

They want to take away YOUR money, the money you made on your own with threat of violence, and if you avoid this thievery it won't be a threat anymore, armed individuals paid by the thieves will knock down the door on your house and put handcuffs on your hands because you refused to give them your money.

Because, That little fraction looks bigger than the remaining amount. secondly, when you have so much needs to meet and the money at hand is not enough, paying tax becomes scary and difficult. thirdly, it may not be any of the mentioned reasons but sheer negligence towards it especially if you are in a country where it is not properly enforced or utilize by the ruling government for effective changes. The tax officers also contribute to the fear. The unprofessional ones uses force and sometimes abuses.

You are just comparing one tax without viewing the whole situation. For example in Russia and Ukraine it's very high tax on cars. It's 2-4x the cost of the same car in Europe. Also you are forced to use national currency and they are printing it like crazy. Hrivna inflated from it's creation to noverdays 27x. So I wouldn't say the combined robbery from the government is less in Russia/Ukraine. But the bright side is it's easier and safer not to pay part of them then in most of developed countries.

Apart from imported cars, the overall prices for stuff seems reasonable in Russia, when compared to those in India. But still, I am not sure as I have never been to that country. But this 13% tax rate is too good to be true. And the biggest irony is that tax evasion is still widespread in Russia, despite the tax rates remaining this much lower.

No one is scared of taxes, but taxes are very high and most of the time are spent on stuff you do not agree with and do not support, that is why people hate paying taxes at all and I cannot blame them.

Well who wants to rob legally, its fine to be taxed when you know that the money will be put in good use, like infrastructures, road development and salary of good public servants, but if its just going to put in the pocket of greedy politician then who would like that, you're just making the corrupt rich.

However, they link their businesses to some charity programs so that they can be exempted to tax. Some of us do not understand the benefits of taxes in our country. I'm not exact sure about Russia but here in Ukraine I counted the overall tax burden if you honestly pay everything and it will be 60-70%. We have almost identical laws here and in Russia. If you evade what you can that will be around 30-40%.

And people can really see here where their money go to - luxury cars, boats and cocaine for the people in the government So only a fool will pay it voluntarily.

That may be true. However, we still have to consider those people from a country that has corrupt government officials. Like in my country, I never saw any good thing that my tax go to. This is probably why some people feel taxes are just useless.

Expenses are a vital abhorrence to give your nation a specific way of life. so I am fine with paying my duties for this however what I disapprove of is being mishandled. Governments, especially the general population benefit, IMHO pull in the most bumbling fuckwits on the substance of the earth and place them in the key approach positions. In my country, taxing is an obvious job of every individual responsible for the state.
Everything like garbage dump, clean water supply, all services cater to every individual very well.
I am very satisfied and worthy of my taxes . .
