Why are people scared of taxes?

Yes! Taxes are great things and as food citizens one shouldn't be scared of paying taxes. But my own problem is the diversion of funds into political office holders pockets. If this mismanagement can be looked into, citizens would do the needful

I agree that taxes are great thing. But I also understand why people hate taxes. Because simple workers are the only ones who are paying taxes. Many rich companies and rich people have some way to avoid paying taxes, or part of it. So it is unfair.

People are afraid of taxes because the government takes money from people. Many people do not want to give money to the state. In some countries tax bills are very high and it upsets people

The thought of giving taxes relies on whether the Government os corrupt or not. If the people experienced corruption on the present leader then surely they won't be confident in giving away their money to a corrupt leader. This mindset has affected a lot of people, that even after a new leader is elected they still are afraid of giving their money to the government. The ones at fault here is the abusive leaders that once corrupted the country.

Obviously it really scary because you earn money from work then you happily get your salary but you remember that your salary have taxes then it become less than what you think. We know that taxes are actually reduced to workers because it goes to the government. Don't worry because taxes is the way to help the country we live. They are use to build structures that we need in the country.

I learn from my professor past week ago that if your salary is not minimum, you are not covered pay taxes but if your salary is high or at minimum, your salary have been deducted by taxes. Taxes is implemented by government by using it to help others needing of the country we live in. My brother is working at mall that pay taxes too. It's so sad when your salary is deducted because you can spend a little amount of money when giving a salary.

Its scared because your earning money from work with overtime and double pay. And the reality during distribution of payslip you dont want to see the word tax

taxes is a bad thing for the workers because they expected to get the salary in full amount. taxes can be good for our country.

all taxes you have paid, if you combined it you can make the whole salary in one year so it feels very bad

it seems to me that taxes are feared in countries where people don't understand where these taxes go...when there is good medicine, normal roads, protection, etc. in your country, why not pay taxes...but in those countries where 40% of the income needs to be paid for taxes and in the end you are repairing every month a car, because the suspension is merging from the huge pits, and God forbid you get into the hospital, because you can not go back from it...I understand why people don't want to pay taxes

My local gov can't properly allocate water, provide adequate garbage disposal nor supply electricity at the most competitive rate.

Like hell am I going to be content with paying taxes when a market of competing services can do better.

Like in my country in the Philippines where the tax is too big and you cant see where your taxes are going. It becomes very hateful for us to pay our taxes knowing attorneys,doctors and other occupation where they are earning a lot without paying their taxes. It became unfair for everybody. Government projects are only for the poor and never for the middle class who work double time and pay their bills right.
