It is real to me because I can do the same thing with bitcoin as I can do with real money. The only difference is that I can't physically hold bitcoin as I can do with fiat.

It's very real to me. I pay bill, earn money and spend it on real life products.
How real can it be? You tell me.

There's a consistent theme that I see popping up on here that I find rather fascinating, and that is the way that many posters perceive BTC.

What do I mean? People doing things with BTC that they'd never, ever dream of doing with their dollars - gambling as an 'investment', or gambling at all, pouring coins into bullshit investment schemes run by totally anonymous showers of shit, lending on here to shambolic morons, asking the question 'where do I get free coins?'

Considering how much of a pain up the arse it can be to obtain coins and keep them safe and their future potential, I find it bizarre that there's such an extreme disconnect. I would've thought it should be at the opposite end of the scale but that's clearly not the case for many.

Why do you think this attitude has developed and where do you stand yourself?

Yeah i have seen those who come on and ask about investing by ganbling and asking is it a good idea, i really dont know what these people are thinking they are obviously brain dead..... lol

the "where do i get free coins crowd" are just begging, hoping to receive something for nothing... i cant stand that, like wise up would you sit in the street abd do that...?

to be honest not sure why people do it, its prob because they are behind a computer screen......

Paper dollar is utterly fake made out of the thin air. The following currency(ies) which are valid:

- Bitcoin (based on mathematical currency, something that dollar and stones/ores don't have, sorry cavemen).
- Gold
- Silver
- Oil
- Platinum

I would take Bitcoin over anything due to security and mathematical cyptocurrency.

Bitcoin ATMs are not that prevalent in all countries.
Technically, once bitcoin becomes widely adopted, you wouldn't find the need to convert bitcoins into fiat.  Smiley

Let’s be real. Of course the idea of Bitcoins feels a little weird. Bitcoin is, at its core, simply software code and not directly tied to anything of value. You don’t get to touch it, lots of merchants don’t accept it, and your boss is certainly a long way from paying you with it. Bitcoin may be growing, but it is a long way from replacing dollars and cents.

Bitcoin is just as real to me as fiat. The only difference is that I can't see or feel bitcoin. I can only see the numbers on a screen.
That's pretty much it.

Bitcoin is real money to me and many others. As long as it has value it is as good as any currency to myself.
The first time I commited to see it that way was when I saw a story on the news about how a bar in Germany was accepting it to pay off your tab and purchase some goods in their stores. If Germans had faith in this as a currency (real enough money) to purchase their most prized possession in the month of October (beers Cool ) then it is something to be concerned about.
Perhaps more precisely bitcoin is a substitute for real money, it could purchase bitcoin but it online. Bitcoin can not be bought directly in reality, if you want to buy directly should exchange bitcoin wallet with money through the original sent to the bank.

ya it is real money because you can buy goods, you can do gambling and earn, do sports betting, convert it to fiat currency and live your life , what and all fiat currency do that work you can do with bitcoin,

if you work for signature campaign properly then you can earn good bitcoins monthly and live your life according to the country you live.
what real money do you can do that with bitcoin then what else you want to prove.

on one side, i consider bitcoin as real money, because bitcoin really can be exchanged for local currency or local payment, but on the other hand I also do not consider bitcoin as real money, because bitcoin on dasarny not have a physical form, I know the money must have a physical form, although sometimes there is also casascius as a physical form.

I believe that the format or physical form can not define my real money. I'm ready to accept my money in any form.
Even bitcoin can be converted into my local fiats or I can spend my bitcoin through debit cards, I find my bitcoins still as an investment. It may take some more time to use my bitcoins as real money.
