it is definitely real money for me, a few years ago i bought a computer for it so i dont see why it shouldnt be real money if i can use it for buying
There were shops accepting Bitcoin a few years ago. Bitcoin was worth a lot back then, but I didn't know any shops that accepted it.
No. I also can not use bitcoins in local shops nor physical stores today and always need to convert these bitcoins into fiat which takes a lot of fee as well as time. It may take some more time to use as real money for me.
stores that accept bitcoin very rare. in my country I can probably count only 1 or 2 stores accept bitcoin.

But in my opinion, bitcoins are real money as I use Xapo debit card and hence I make all purchases in bitcoins. I withdraw fiat cash with this debit card only and it's similar to using visa cards today.

Yes I am also using Xapo debit card which gives me the real money feel with bitcoins. Especially for me, bitcoins can be used to micro transactions and offline transactions as well but it will take time till the REAL bitcoin is available.

I should really invest in this Xapo debit card. Is it actually any good or should I stick with a normal debit/credit card?

I am also in need of converting to use bitcoins. It is not worth till bitcoins do need to be converted and hence it will remain a virtual payment option to me.

Yeah and maybe some of them dont accept anymore due to the fall of bitcoin from 1000 dollars to really low. But some are again accepting seeing how it grows again. It is really risky specially when it is business

of course it is, why wouldnt it be money if it has value? its even better than money as you can use it howmuch you want
I think something has to dollar price is not necessarily the money. what you could call gold is money, because gold has a price to the dollar?

I am not sure if I understand you, but the value of everything could be converted to dollar: bitcoin, gold, other fiat currencies - everything.

As real as real is.

My name says everything. Bitcoin is real money, true free and independent money.

No fiat can ever be as real as BTC!

Not only any fiat, any commodities (like gold) also can not match with bitcoin when we are considering it's real applications.
Only bitcoin can be a real money like fiats and can be real investment as any commodity.

Maybe you should try using it when buying something online. That way you might feel that it is really real when you are holding that thing you had bought. We people kinda want to see something physically to see its reality so that might help.

Bitcoin can not be touched but when you exchange it with your local currency then you will see how good it felt to have some bitcoins in your wallet. Also when it is rising you will get more than what you expect for.

Exactly, no doubt we cannot touch bitcoins but when it is converted to fiat, we can have the same feeling of holding bitcoins, as the fiat that we receive is only because of bitcoins, and if bitcoin can help us in buying anything or converting it to fiat then it becomes real money.

Dont' worry mate, the day will come soon when you could buy anything that you want, I don't know which country you belong to but there are e commerce websites that have already started to accept bitcoins as a mode of payment, or else you can convert your bitcoins to your local currency and make it real.

I believe there is no need to wait any more when you have bitcoin debit cards. There are many trusted bitcoin debit card providers. With a bitcoin debit card you can spend your bitcoins both online as well as in physical stores also.

That's true, but it also depends in which country you are living, as I don't think that you can use bitcoin debit cards everywhere, you can only use if that particular shop is accepting bitcoin as a mode of payment, and I haven't seen anyone yet in my country that accepts bitcoin at physical stores.

Of course its limited for now. Only few stores in some country has a store that accept bitcoin. Maybe in the near future lots of store will do it. But if youre talking online well just go around in the forum and there's a lot of stuff selling.
