The only difference that Bitcoin has in relation to fiat currency is that fiat is backed up by goverments

Well, ask this to deposit members of portugal bank and italian bank that have crashed un december 2015.
Deposits are not available at this time ... even it's below 100 000 euros.

protection of FIAT ?
Safety of FIAT ?

No ... they have no money in vault at the end.

it's true, when some government crash you have a nice zero in your portfolio, when bitcoin crash it's most likely a dump that will recover

so having a centralized system with a so called "backed up from the government" is a double egde for the value of your funds

What about investing in Gold bullion? Will that serve as a reliable protection for the value of my money? Just asking hypothetically in case this scenario happens when the governments crash.  Smiley

in case of a financial meltdown or war  investing in gold or silver is the best bet and this has being the case for a very long time.

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Of course it is. There's so much that can be bought with it specifically in electrical engineering work.

Yes and if bitcoin is offering you by which you can buy any damn thing that it becomes real for you, as the country where I live in I dont have that opportunity to buy any physical product as I mainly use it for online purchase or transfers as here there are no physical shops who accepts bitcoins and that is the sadest thing to have but in future I hope that the things will change and we would be having shops that accepts bitcoins.

Bitcoin is not real money to me.Bitcoin is virtual or illusion online money.
It can't be touched so it is not a real money.
Bitcoin is just number which is visualized on our monitors, but yeah it is real money because we can buy things.
It's 'machine to machine' transactions but it makes sense to us, same like the e-banking money.

It does not matter when you use it. If you can buy anything with it, it has a function of money.

If you can buy/trade with something, it is a real currency, as long as it is some minimal amount of universal acceptance.

You cannot refer to bitcoin as an illusion, although its form is digital, bitcoin is not an illusion, because bitcoin is real

Bitcoin is not illusion it's real because you can buy products using it and exchange it for other currencies from Bitcoin traders and if you think that something which cannot to touched or felt is not real then what about those savings which we do at banks? Do you think banks have all in cash ? It's just a digital thing if all the customers wants their money back from bank at the same time then they will not have that money to give you because it is all digital.

well anything is also not real if there is no demand for it. why is gold and silver valuable for money, cause they create a demand for it. why is a country currency value for money, cause they can use it to purchase items, why is diamond value to be bought? to be honest, bitcoin has no value if there is no demand for it. however bitcoin is often being used by a lot of people for it provides some benefits that no other currency can do. it is send and receive in an instant, no need 3 days waiting time for bank transfer etc. no reverse trade which is gd for seller etc. so as long there is a unqiue demand, bitcoin is real money.

Offcourse it is real, As real as those money bills in your pocket.
If you can't appreciate the money in your pocket you should either donate it or give it away.

Trreating bitcoin as some kind of 'bogus' money is just plain ridiculous.

I think we can make bitcoin in tangible form, in addition to digital
so that everyone considered that the bitcoin is real money

If you happen to find anyone who treats bitcoin as fake money, ask them to send their fake money to you!! or me for that matter!!  I actually have 8 customers who downloaded a faucet on their phone and they cash in with me every week or two.  They do not get much for it, for they only have around .005 or so, but that is enough for a free pop at my place!!.

Why not? As long as I can use it to buy products on store or online, or able to exchange it to dollar. Bitcoin becomes popular now. In a few years' time bitcoin will become standard way of payment, same as paypal or skrill etc
