After the post about Portland Blazers sold for $4B. There's another clearance for the Boston Celtics to be sold for $6.1B. Looks like the NBA teams are now in a bull run, many former owners selling it. The amounts offered for the Blazers and Celtics are impressive, but that's not the limit. If the owners of the Warriors and the Knicks decide to sell their teams, they will be valued even higher. I believe these teams could easily be sold for $8-10 billion. If I'm not mistaken, the Lakers were sold in a recent deal with a valuation of approximately $10 billion. What’s happening, why are they selling their teams? Do they no longer see the NBA as profitable, or do they just want to enjoy their fortune and spend it as retirement money? I don’t really understand because it feels a bit alarming. Normally, when a team is sold, there’s always a buyer, but honestly, this is the first time I’ve seen so many teams being put up for sale at the same time.

The $10B figure you’re referring to is more of a ,,hypothetical valuation,, floated around by analysts and Forbes rankings. Same goes for the Warriors and Knicks – they’re usually at the very top of the valuation list, often estimated in that $8–10B range depending on media rights and market size. Blazers and Celtics getting huge numbers just proves how crazy the market is right now.

Luka Doncic just got injured in an exhibition game for Slovenia. His teammate fell on him in the key. Not good for the Lakers… I wonder if they’ll ask to shut Luka down now as a result of this… With some luck it isn’t a big injury and he’ll be 100% for the season opener.

If I'm not mistaken, the Lakers were sold in a recent deal with a valuation of approximately $10 billion. Yeah, not really sold at 10 billion, but majority of the shares were sold for a valuation of 10 billion. Meaning, lets assume that it was at least 51% that was sold (making it majority share) that means for 5.1 billion dollars they sold 51% of it. Same goes whatever the amount was, if it was 60% then 6 billion etc. Meaning it wasn't sold for 10 billion because there are minority owners, but yeah Lakers valuation was 10 billion. This is why it's shocking to see Celtics, the team that goes hand in hand with Lakers when talking about success, to end up with just 6 billion, would have assumed more. Dallas gone, Portland gone, Lakers gone, now Celtics are going, it's apparently a period where it's the best to sell. With ratings down, old owners realize NBA team valuation may not stay up for too long.

They have to stop him participating the FIBA and other games outside the NBA. There's that contract and clause that a team will have to pay I think Lakers just for him to be allowed. And if injuries like this comes, he needs to be benched and take that rest. Even it's only a minor injury, they have to secure him or still needed to be consulted from the management of Lakers.

Alperen Şengün also played in the Germany game but was held out of the Czechia match as a precaution. Preparation games aren't that important but in EuroBasket 2025 he absolutely has to play at 100%. He is by far the team's most important player. It's impossible for us to achieve success without him.

Just to add to this one, players in the Europe are far more passionate compared to us here in the Asia. I mean I will just use this recent FIBA Asian Cup as an example. In our current Asia Cup, you will never see NBA players playing in Australia, and even in Japan. Former NBA players might be, but current ones? They aren't playing, and it's because of this. They might get injured and that might affect their NBA career. In the European League, it's very different, and that's why I commend them. Whether it's just an exhibition game, or the European League itself, current NBA players will play just to represent their country, and they don't care about their NBA career. Yes, there are some games where they will not play because of precaution, but they will play in the games where they're needed the most. Jokic, Giannis, Luka, Sengun, Schroder, and other current NBA players still play, but with limited minutes. Now as for Luka, I just hope that this will just be a minor injury, and will not affect him when the NBA regular season starts in October.

The knee again… hopefully it won’t happen this season because the Lakers really need to start strong and secure a good standing early. Luka’s not the “fat guy” anymore, he actually worked on that, so it’ll be interesting to see if there’s a big improvement in his game. And since he already locked in that huge contract with the Lakers, it’s gonna be a shame if he can’t deliver. Good thing this injury doesn’t look like a scary one .. maybe it just forces him to rest a few days before getting back to training.

Good to know that it's just a simple injury that needs some days of rest then he can start working with the Lakers squad, with that huge amount of contract, fans expect to see more greatness from him, though still going to depend on how the whole team will work alongside each other and how they'll push those upcoming games to win, let see if what's new to their system and how they'll going to execute their system.

He is by far the team's most important player. It's impossible for us to achieve success without him. Some clause could have been done if the NBA team where they've signed. I think that I've read some issues regarding some of those players that made them DNP(did not play) due to contract matters. But those stars that plays not about the money anymore but the glory and pride of representing their country have some conditions that they shouldn't get injured while participating these tournaments. Players have pride to play for their country in big tournaments, you can just deny them this honor. I remember back in the days it was always a big fuzz getting the ok from the Mavericks so that Dirk can play for the German national team. Germany always had to pay a big insurance policy, for example like 1 million $ for a span of 4 weeks or something, basically insuring his legs. Just in case something happened to Dirk the Mavs would have gotten a nice insurance check so pay them for their troubles/loss of playing time. I agree. This is what I am saying. Huge contracts from where they've signed and the participating country where they're about to play will take full cover of their insurance and responsibility whatever happen to their star. As far a I can remember, Jonathan Kuminga also didn't participate in the Afro-FIBA (representing his native Congo) because of the risk of getting injured as he is in the stale mate with the Warriors.

I guess Kuminga is still busy waiting for NBA offer than to represent his country. That's his priority as of now. As for Luka, fans and countrymen would like to see him play for the country. But even that injury is minor, the Lakers would still get him reminded to take care in preparation of the upcoming season.

I am just glad that Luka Doncic was okay even after that bad accident. He is an important key for their country to win this FIBA tournament. Sure, the LA Lakers fans may worry, but his countrymen are also worried about their team, especially since it's about a country's pride.
According to ClutchPoints, Luka Doncic is now ready to return to practice because it's just a minor knee contusion. That's good to know because it won't be that fun watching the Slovenia team without him on the roster, and I am also rooting for them to be at the top of the league.

Well. just to be totally fair, even with Luke in the past shape and whatever of his life Slovenia has NO SHOT at all to win anything in this tournament. Aside Luka Slovenia has no other players that are worth mentioning, and he sure can't win the whole thing by himself. In their test matches that this time is lacking significant help for Luka, honestly. I would go as far as considering to sit this one out actually, cause there is no shot anyway and and injury, as small as it might be, can only get worse.

It is obvious that his playing style is one that is bad for his knees. As long as he keeps playing the same way, he is going to keep getting his knees hurt, and there is no way to avoid that. He plays in a way where he ends up stopping suddenly to change momentum, which creates a great huge gap for him to shoot uncontested, and that is great when you look at it, like it's very cool to see, and he scores a lot that way. But that same move is the reason why his knees gets the most punishment every time he changes momentum so quickly, and that causes his knees to hurt. Plus, he is going to have no liquid in them soon enough, I remember Brandon Roy literally had the same issue and had to retire, so we can see the same thing here if Luka doesn't change something soon.

so what do you think about his claim? Jonathan Kuminga compares himself with Cade Cunningham and Scottie BarnesThis is link to the money he’s getting. From what I see, he probably wants more because he believes he’s on the same skill level as the players mentioned who are receiving higher salaries. So the question is, do you think he’s being delusional here, or is he just making noise out of disappointment with his current pay?

He needs more improvement and if does i think still not close. We can see Barnes and Cunningham get to the top of their team and get the respect and popularity. You dont call it, it will be given to you. Playing with step gets more easy basket, great pass and clear view because of opponents D to steph. For me, Kuminga is dreaming on his dream. He should fix his attitude or he will miss a lot of good contracts.

He should fix his attitude or he will miss a lot of good contracts. It’s okay to be confident at least he’s being honest. But the way he sees himself isn’t the same way the team sees him. if it was, he’d already have a huge contract by now. Right now, he’s got that $7.9 million qualifying offer and he’s fine with it since he’s preparing for 2026 when he becomes an unrestricted free agent. But here’s the catch.. what if the Warriors don’t give him good minutes? Will his value still be what he expects it to be? Personally, I think no.
