What can you guys say about this? Miami Heat’s Tyler Herro Expected to Seek $42 Million Per Year in Contract Extensionhttps://theplayoffs.news/en/miami-heats-tyler-herro-expected-to-seek-42-million-per-year-in-contract-extension/Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro is expected to demand a contract worth $42 million annually. Herro has been a key player for the Heat and has established himself as a franchise player alongside Bam Adebayo. Having finished the recent past season with a career-high average of 23.9 points and 5.5 assists per game, Herro has significantly risen to stardom. Considering this, there are reports by Heat insider Greg Sylvander that he would seek a contract worth $40-$42 million annually. Is he worth it? Sure, he became the key player of the Miami Heat ever since Jimmy Butler went to the Warriors. But, what he wants seems to be a bit high in my opinion, and it takes out the chance of pursuing the top again. He is young and he can definitely show his skills to prove his worth, and giving away a part of the salary cap to get more good role players can make him look better. With that kind of salary, he will become the face of the Miami Heat.

Everyone is talking about Luka and the Lakers and there's this news about Jokic declining his contract extension with the Nuggets. I thought that this was a fake news but after searching about it, it shown a lot of results that the same news about him declining that contract. And since the talk is there about Luka, are we going to see that he's going with the Lakers? I don't think so, they've got already a big man and I think that they have to release some players since it will hit a salary cap if they're going take Jokic with them. As they say, they're close friends and maybe Luka is actually recruiting and trying to convince him play together.
Yes he did decline but the nuggets can still offer him, he might be delaying it for the max contract, if he will be a laker, LA need to offer him a bigger and better contract, if he declines again with nuggets, but it might make the lakers over the cap, or not, at the same time who is willing to adjust since luka needs to have the ball while jokic is also a fcilitator, that might need to be settle first, but still a bit far to conclude we need to wait until 2026 for this. Most likely, he'll waiting for the max contract. Or this could just be a PR move and then in the end he'll still sign with the Nuggets. We don't know, things can change so fast before the season starts. Everyone is talking about Luka and the Lakers and there's this news about Jokic declining his contract extension with the Nuggets. It's been talk about a couple of pages ago, specially when the news comes out. We have a lot of rumors as well, like Jokic going to Lakers or even Giannis to the Warriors because he wanted to play with Steph. But it's hard to imagine how that will come into fruition. We already have the salary cap, so it will be a nightmare for the Lakers to have them with multi million contract. And it might take a lot of players to make this kind of trade, not just Lakers or Denver, they will have to be a 3rd or even 4th team that will be involved. Just like when we see KD going to the Rockets. If I'm not mistaken, it involves like 7 teams and that is a record in the NBA for now. So imagine Jokic, who is still in his prime and multiple MVP's under his belt. Yeah, it's going to be costly for the Lakers if they're going to let Jokic in the team or some key players will have to deduct some salaries just to fill the cap. Hmm, yeah his contract extension would have been for 3 years, maybe he wants to wait a bit, which makes sense. Nowadays the contracts gets bigger and bigger, so waiting might open the window for an even larger payout, you never know. Sure, he doesn't care so much about the money but he cares about his family a lot. And more money means more security for future generations of his clan, which of course is great. I agree, if the non so key players are asking for better deals to their contracts and still looking for teams to give them what they want. How much more a caliber player like Jokic. He might say that he doesn't care about the money but, the fact is that all of them are for it and trying to look for the best deal ever on the upcoming season and even for the next years to come.

Another thing that make things worse in LA is the reporters making issue worse on players, they always want to stir things up, every season although its their work, LA better stay away from issues, because distractions make team worse every time, if ever lebron get another ring is a good thing before retiring, but i hope people stop bashing the guy, and witness greatness, because we know hater or not they are going to missed the guy.
That’s just part of being a well-known public figure. they’re earning millions, and that money comes from the fans, so it’s normal for people to be interested in how they perform whether they’re worth the salary or not. Criticism isn’t necessarily bad either; if they take it the right way, it can point out areas where they can improve. Yup, it can backfire to them if you know how to handle those types of criticizm, just adjust and prove them wrong and everything will be on your side, just like you said, it's part of being popular, all eyes are in you whatever you do there's always something that will be use against you to create noise and attentions, that will bring traffics and those people behind are generating profits. Lakers is numbeer one when it came to media creating fuds. The GOAT and the Most hated player is on their team. The kking will never have a peace for those ahters. Luka is the rising star and once of the future icon of the NBA too. LAKERS is always on TOP when it comes to media and issues. thiis is normal. They always have that attention, and even how bad the publicity might be it's still going to bring interest to the fans who's still showing care about the team, with that kind of attractions, both Luka and LeBron got a huge fan base and those people behind will always be a good market for critics who loves taking advantages in any news that they'll bring to table, just put on a good title to your post and surely their are traffics that will comes out and will deliver the potential profits.

Well, I thought Luka Doncic would be the first player to make $1,000,000 per game in the NBA but Dallas cheaped out and sent him to Los Angeles to avoid paying a supermax. Now it looks like Luka will get his $1,000,000 per game with his next contract. We’ll see if he’s the first to do it or not.

He made strong performance last season and he's important peace of Heat's offense, but I think he don't deserve that huge contract especially that he does not prove anything yet nor bring his team on more better standing. But its Miami's choice if they want to lock in Herro on their team since they are the one who will carry the burden especially if Herro will start to decline. To be honest they can get more better player with that amount especially that their team is in somehow we can called in rebuilding process.

I thought it's for 2 years, but for a year? I do agree that is too much money for a player of his caliber. He is not the leader of the Heat when Jimmy left. I think Bam is still their main man and Bam has proven that he is their franchise player now. Hero is good no doubt about it, but he is also inconsistent. If he can proved this season but leading the Heat to a good standing in the East, then maybe it's worth that money. But I don't think that he can anchor, if I remember, someone man handled him, throwing him to the ground, Lol. And then we have to question his mentality as well. When Butler was still in the Heat, he looks good because of the assists of Butler. But when Butler left, Heat turns into like a very disorganized team.

Tyler is not consistent sometimes off and sometimes on fire, if you can't be consistent, try to work harder and show them, then ask for a higher contract, some players now acts like you need to give me this and that, remember when he trigger LeBron in the bubble, that's when everything falls apart, there is no player now standing as a leader, bam is not what he thinks he is, they need a really star on the team, pat needs to do some magic.

I agree that he has become an important piece for the Heat, and I also agree that he needs to earn what he's asking first. Though he averages 23 ppg, 5+ for both asst and reb, these are good numbers and well within the range of what he's asking for his contract, but he's yet to make any impact at an elite level in the playoffs. If I remember it correctly, players who first made that kind of contract have shown a significant impact on the team already at an elite level, something Tyler Herro doesn't have currently.

Maybe we should consider inflation as one of the reasons why NBA tickets are so expensive nowadays. And of course, player contracts are also a big factor in ticket prices. So it's not surprising if, in the coming years fewer people will attend NBA games because tickets are just too expensive. But if you're truly a fan of an NBA team, I guess you'll always find way to watch the games, even if you don't have enough money for ticket. lol

There is no way that can be attributed to just inflation. I think a lot of it is greed. Both by the players and the owners. Most of the good tickets are bought by companies and given away these days or else the stadiums floor seats would probably be mostly empty. Things have gone too far. I think we might be seeing the final days of growth in the NBA after decades of explosive value creation.

In general, I agree that players are being paid more than they should be. Salaries that used to be reserved for superstar level players are now being given to players who haven't even made an All-Star team in their career. Even though ticket prices have increased, if teams are still able to sell them, it means the supply-demand balance hasn't been disrupted too much. In my opinion, watching games from home is more comfortable and enjoyable. Especially compared to watching from the upper rows with binoculars, following the game on TV is a better experience.

So it's not surprising if, in the coming years fewer people will attend NBA games because tickets are just too expensive.
The ticket prices are only a few way for the teams and managements to get some profits. It's not covering the whole thing for the contracts that they're giving to their players. They're also earning from the merchs and so, all of these are becoming expensive. Inflation and high contracts, so we're seeing the demand in there for the ticket prices especially the front side as they become too expensive. But if you're truly a fan of an NBA team, I guess you'll always find way to watch the games, even if you don't have enough money for ticket. lol
Yes, with millions of fans. Even watching just one in a lifetime even it's costly, we've got that dream of watching our favorite team's game.
He's been a part of Nuggets and if he's going to act like the others looking for max contract, they are unsure if some teams will get them. But it's different with Jokic, he's still one of the best tall guys in the game and can shoot outside so, maybe it's just a delaying tactic for him.

I believe there are a lot of factor that comes into play with these things, the teams just doesn't wake up and want to give more to the players, you best believe they'd even prefer to pay less they have to if they could.

I believe there are a lot of factor that comes into play with these things, the teams just doesn't wake up and want to give more to the players, you best believe they'd even prefer to pay less they have to if they could. Yeah, that's one factor to look at it's inflation. And not just in NBA, if I'm not mistaken, in football as well wherein there are wealthy nations in the Middle East who are willing to pay elite players huge amount of money that a NBA player can only dream of. So it's not the fault of the league itself, times are evolving and with inflation every year, they will have to increased everything, otherwise their business is going to die. And with the owners now amassing massive amount of wealth not just in NBA but their bread and butter business, they can really afford to pay this elite players good salary. And for those scrubs? Nah, unless they are really have a good mentor behind, they can't sustain that lifestyle and so it's hard for them to build generational wealth. Former NBA star Trevor Ariza, who earned over $116 million during his time in the league, revealed his dire financial situation in divorce court, In Touch can exclusively report.
Trevor, 39, whose last season in the NBA was 2022, filed an emotional declaration, obtained by In Touch, as part of his plea to modify the child support he pays his ex-wife, Bree Anderson.
Trevor agreed to pay Bree $14,000 per month in child support. He said the amount was based on his income at the time. https://www.yahoo.com/news/ex-lakers-trevor-ariza-reveals-103008093.html

$229,000,000 4-year deal agreed to by De’Aaron Fox with the San Antonio Spurs. Another crazy deal to a player who has never won anything. He’s a great player, but I don’t even think he’s an all star. Making over $50,000,000 per year as an NBA player when most people in the country have no idea who you are is crazy…

Yeah they definitely overpaid on this one. I don't understand why they would give him such a deal. Sure they don't want him to leave for nothing but I doubt other teams would have been willing to pay this much as well, very strange. While of course Fox is a more than just solid player, as you say he is not even all star material, won nothing and overall isn't even close to being a franchise player (that would warrant such a payday). NBA these days....

That bag is similar to what a face of the franchise player gets. His agent is definitely good at negotiations to be able to secure such a contract. Well, let's see if the Spurs’ move turns out to be good or just another waste of money. Tbh, I don't know why or how the Spurs came to that decision.
