Stan handled the Pistons in the past years and they didn't played that good at that time. On the other side, Jeff Van Gundy is one of the commentators that I like to commentate in the game along side with Mike Breen (Bang Boy) ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) . It's the fun trio. Mike Breen, Jeff, and Mark Jackson. When combined, Boom!!! Listening to them will give you a lot of historical events while doing the comments in-game that is why I love them. I'm curious who will be the new head coach of the Rockets since D'Antoni will leave the team already.
3 favorites according to rumors. John Lucas - Asst. Coach Rockets Stephen Silas - Asst. Coach Mavericks Jeff Van Gundy - ESPN commentator (former Houston coach 03-07') I know there are two but I don't know they are brothers in real life. haha. Which one of them handles the coaching job for the bad boys Detroit Pistons?
It was Stan who coached Pistons back then. Jeff served Knicks and Rockets.

I thought he got fired, kidding. Rockets hasn't really improve, when D'Antoni the coaching job, there's a lot of success for this team as they went in the WCF several times, but this last season, they were really struggling and that Westbrook trade to Paul was a big mistake, and I think D'Antoni didn't like it.

How about the Blazers, do we have an update of this team too?
There's no interesting update on this team yet, or rumors. In free agency, there's a lot of players that they could sign if they think of improving, Melo to be in the line up does not help big time at all IMO. What the Blazers need is a young players with real talent, good in defense, and has a high basketball IQ. . They already have the best backcourt duo, but sometimes one is inconsistent so it wouldn't work. I think they also need to build their chemistry as they already have the talents. BTW, read this https://bleacherreport.com/portland-trail-blazersThanks for the reply, I will continue to follow the update of this team as I like them to be in the playoffs again. Lillard deserve to be playing with more role players in the team as he can't bring the team to success alone, he is good, extremely good but when defense collapse on him, he will be limited. CJ was not fully healthy last season, particularly in the bubble, so if NBA will be back in the old set up, hopefully he will be fully healthy.

There's a news/rumor last week that he's about to head on Nets coaching staff. But it still needs to be verified as there's not yet validation if that's the final.

Blazers had young players that they could improve with, they even paid them a lot of money as well, around 2016-2017 period they were really looking like a team of dame+cj plus a lot of promising young talent yet that talent never really became too good, which ended up causing them to lose in the long run because they had to get people from free agency to get better, which turned out to be alright but it was all due to getting good free agents (and getting Nurkic was lucky as well).
So, Portland is at that bad spot where they are not contenders but they are still pretty good, which is why I really think that they need just one more superstar, like proper superstar though, and they would be awesome but unfortunately they do not have the popularity to get it easily.

They are good but not good enough, they are still not a championship caliber team, they always fell short against the bests teams in the NBA. I think if we believe they have the right roster already, a changed of coaching stuff might be the solution. Look at Denver, they don't have a lot of superstars but they are playing well, playing with good defense and offense, and I think that's what Portland are lacking. So, Portland is at that bad spot where they are not contenders but they are still pretty good, which is why I really think that they need just one more superstar, like proper superstar though, and they would be awesome but unfortunately they do not have the popularity to get it easily.
We will wait who that would be, but like I said, I would love to see a new coach for this team.

So, he just cut some games in a season. Yeah, that tournament works like a charm. He should try it again. Change the season format, keep the playoffs.

This is a great surprise by the NBA, it's an early Christmas present to us, this news alone can already give us some excitement to watch the NBA back again, the break was really short for the NBA players, now back in the bubble, a longer period than the previous one but we saw how entertaining it is already.

Sham just tweeted that NBA was looking into December 22 as the return date, it is only 2 months away and that is a great news. Idea was to get it at 72 games and end it around august or so this year compared to October and next year make it like October start or maybe very very early November start and end it around regular period with some heavy back to back and after that recover from these dates and go back to how it was before the pandemic.
The main reasoning behind coming back so soon was the fact that NBA teams expected virus to finally get better and teams could play with fans but after seeing what happened with NFL they realized they can't bring in fans this year neither, so instead of waiting around they will just have a whole season of just no fans in stadiums, just webcams like they did during bubble part of the season.

Amid the coronavirus pandemic, the NBA is proposing several changes to next season that include a 72-game regular season, a play-in tournament and the likelihood of no All-Star Game or All-Star Weekend in Indianapolis. The league is considering a two-week break at the midway point of the season. The reduction in regular-season games - which would help accommodate a play-in tournament format for both conferences - allows the NBA to finish the season before the Summer Olympics in Japan. Cm'on this is one of the most anticipated events and even if there's no fans around, they can still have some fun. It's going to be tough if they will cancel the All-Star weekend, and Olympics is still questionable in 2021.

I'd be happy to see an all-star game and no more demand, I'll be satisfied if they will include it. I understand if there are no fans. The situation isn't getting better as long as they can add the all-star games, I'm good with that.

Will see if they will add, but if the fans would really insist, they might add it since all they want is to give the fans the entertainment, and we suffered a lot already due to the covid-19, so we deserve to enjoy a bit, and all star is one of the most awaited moment in the NBA. we will not gonna see Kevin Hart here since he is not allowed to be in the bubble.
This small guy is really funny, I hope he can somehow make an exemption for him to be in the venue if all star happens.

If this is going to happen, Lakers will surely be a hard team to beat, no doubt they will win a back to back championship or even a 3-peat. https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/chris-paul-trade-rumors-how-a-dec-22-start-date-for-new-nba-season-could-prevent-a-possible-lakers-deal/"Chris Paul trade rumors: How a Dec. 22 start date for new NBA season could prevent a possible Lakers deal"Lebron wants to make his team unbeatable, so this could happen. Rate it's possibility.

After reading this article. Chris Paul to the Lakers is a Bad Move – Here’s Why
My answer would be not a good idea for CP3 to be in the Lakers. Lakers will have to trade players for CP3 and according to the article, they need to ship players including Danny Green and Kyle Kuzma, and since KCP and Rajon Rondo might leave, they will miss a lot of key players that helped them to win the NBA championship in the bubble. Also, Lakers are already a super team, what would they aim for more?

Though CP3 is CP3 he's productions will be a huge but the cost of having him automatically needs to let someone, and with those mentioned names, it's also a big impact. Still not yet being confirmed but in case it happened surely Lakers will continue to seek for players who'll fit to encircle their new Big 3.

I'm really glad that season 2020 is resumed and done. NBA will surely do their best to serve the fans and continue the season. Btw, Los Angeles Lakers really do its best and Lebron James really has a big contribution to the team and help Kobe to take another championship. If Lebron James doesn't manage to play in Los Angeles Lakers, it will be a though game but i didn't say that it will be impossible because every player of Los Angeles Lakers is really skillful that makes it unbeatable and Lebron James is not the only one who carries the game.

It is always been carried by Lebron whichever team he may join. He has already breaking records of achievement he made. Lebron was also being compared to Michael Jordan which is one of the greatest NBA player of his time. If they were able to meet at the same then who could it be the toughest player between these players. If I am going to speculate then it would be Lebron James though MJ is good in shooting but Lebron is better and has advantage like his height and his athletic ability to outrun even younger players.
