Michael Jordan won 6 championships with several Hall of Famers. Scottie Pippen, Rodman and had other stellar players such as Kukoc, Paxson, Kerr, Grant, Cartwright, etc. He won every single one of those with Pippen too. I'm not saying MJ isn't the better player, because he is, but Lebron's championships were impressive. Let's not act like MJ didn't have help is all I'm saying.
Couldn't agree more. Every champ has their tandem and helps from other veterans and good players. But if we are going to evaluate each of their individual performances still MJ is the best. But Lebron's performances and achievements can't ever be ignored. It was already in the heart and mind of the people, so even if we have a new player that is better than him, we still think that MJ is the best or the GOAT in the NBA, just like in boxing, we have Muhammad Ali which is the best though some think Manny Pacquioa is the greatest fighter of all time. This isn't true at all. Sure some people can't think openly and will of course only say whomever they saw first or saw the most, is the best player of all time, but I'm in my late 30's and have seen both players careers closely. I've seen many great players come and go from my own personal experience/opinion I think Lebron is the second greatest and MJ the greatest of all time. Has nothing to do with personal bias, simply what I've seen with my own eyes.

I'd say there is no greatest of all time, there is only greatest on their ERA, playstyle is far different from what they have now I can say it's more complex. And believe it or not, these people cannot function properly without the help of their teammates which should be a huge factor in rankings. Salute to all the players.

Possible Reid, and CP3 is not getting any younger, they will have to invest a lot on a player that is not already at his peak. I think Lakers would just stay with the current roster, of course, some will leave but as long as they have James and Davis, they will make the others better.
Indeed. They actually have the best roleplayers around Lebron and Davis. Putting CP3 might be Rondo, Green, KCP, Bradley, and Kuzma (I worry about this kid, he needs to step up.) Bradley didn't play in the bubble but before that, he was known for his defense with the Lakers team. I hope Rondo will just stay, there's a rumor that he will leave the team if he can find a better offer, he was really a big help for the Lakers to win a Championship last season because he was so genius when handing the ball and Lebron was able to play his game which is being aggressive while he is holding the ball.
I doubt Rondo would want out. Even with a fair deal, if I am him I would take the offer. He showcased something in the playoffs and he is getting more valuable despite his age. I bet he is just trying to intimidate the Laker's management because of what he had done. It's business after all.

Lebron will probably retire after he played one year with his kid, I know he would probably prefer to play with him on the same team and if any father can manage to do that it would be Lebron because as we all know very well dude takes care of his body and Lebron could probably play until he is 50 if he is willing to be like Vince Carter for example, shatter all the all-time records and then some, but he won't probably accept like a "come from bench for 12 minutes a game" role so he would probably retire in 4-5 years at most, probably around 4. Which is the year where Bronny will be in the league, for the looks of it dude is 14 years old and one of the best in his class but he is too young to decide, so we have to wait like another 2 years to see if Bronny would be a viable pick for any team or not, if he actually is a good player to get drafted we will see Lebron vs Bronny season and Lebron will retire after that.

If you do try to look the date on when MJ do say about such thing then its just right to say that LBJ isnt really that taking some spotlight that time and comparing off Kobe and Lebron on that time? theres no brainer on whos better. As year progress then he do give out words to LBJ as the Greatest player of all time. https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/michael-jordan-lebron-james-goat/

I don't think that will be the case unless he really wants to be that of a record breaker even of the old age. I think 50 is too much for his body, just my hunch it will be in his 40's that will be a prime age for his career I don't think 50 is possible though we didn't know that it's always speculation. I expect Bronny to be in 17 or 18 to decide for that or even older than that, if he could manage to be on NBA in that age I think he will broke some records. I think he needs to mature first before he get onto the finest basketball league in the world, he should not rush things.

He's already stuck to our minds that he's the GOAT in NBA or in the sports of basketball. Nothing's gonna beat him as the GOAT and there's more for Lebron before he retires.
He could beat MJ in certain achievements but GOAT will always be the GOAT and it's just one guy or it depends on the standards of the majority of fans.
I don't know if during the era of MJ he has some haters as it seemed like everyone likes him, nowadays, we have haters, especially Lebron James haters that they could not see how great he is and special as a player, man is proving many times by winning championship in different teams. Did MJ done that in his career? I guess there were already but not that much. Unlike today, in just a simple post on social media platforms, an individual can spread hate and infect others' minds to be the same as his/her opinion about hating LBJ or any other NBA player. But Lebron's performances and achievements can't ever be ignored.
Lebron will have a great chance to beat the NBA all-time points record in the next 2-3 seasons if he continues to play at the same level without serious injuries. So, nobody won't be going to ignore Lebron's achievements. As you say but hate is spread on him. I don't understand those people that can't just appreciate him and like him.

1- Michael Jordan 2-Kobe Bryant 3-Lebron James 6 rings 5 rings 4 rings I think this is fair, FOR NOW. If LeBron James wins more championship(s) before he retires this list might change.

Maybe Jordan only said this because he is a good friend with Kobe as what he said during the time Kobe died. He would rather picking someone 2nd who is much closer than him rather than someone who isn't. What is this talks about anyways? You won't really know the real answer on who is the best as there will always be bias when it comes to these kinds of talks.

People look on different factors on the players performance, so they could be bias, like myself, I could be bias as well but to make it fair, let's conclude that these 3 are hall of famers already but there's only one GOAT and that is MJ. If we keep comparing, that is not good as we will not be able to appreciate LBJ which is the only one active now in the sport.

Was that Lebron James saying he will retire?
If he is, I don't believe on that statement, that's just his way to trying to convince Davis to stay. Lebron won't stop playing as he still wants to continue to dominate and he knows that's only possible with Davis on his side.
Yeah. It seems also some kind of reverse phychology/double meaning statement from Lebron to convince AD to stay while his on unrestricted free agent this summer. I wonder if AD goes into another team. Will Lebron continue or retire? what are the odds... Lebron will not retire anytime soon, here's the odds if you want to bet. Will Lebron retire? yes- 1.90 no 1.01. haha.. look for the sportsbook that offers that as me, I'm not gonna take that, I wold just bet on the no. Man is on a journey, now for him, what matters is the ring achievement, he needs to surpass MJ who is in the top for people to remember him close to MJ.

I wonder if AD goes into another team. Will Lebron continue or retire? what are the odds... Anthony Davis camp said before that they will just stay on Lakers, at least a single season. But with the championship, the wind change, and staying with the team is now more considered. I think no need for Lakers management or LBJ to convinces AD to stay. He can just stay with the team and take advantage of LeBron and when the time comes that LBJ will retire, he can now choose if will option out on his contract or stay depends on the set of teammates he will be with.

And with his beef with CP3, I'm sure he doesn't want to give up his Lakers just to let CP3 in, Lol. Again, their motto should be, if ain't broke, don't fix it. So I guess the Lakers and Rondo will have a long talk and discuss everything and let him known that the Lakers still wants his services for another championship run next season.

High chance that Lakers team will going to change its players. And let other strong players to be traded in their team like CP3. However, Rondo had played a great role for the Lakers to get an easy win against the Miami. He had shown what he has got like he is good at handling ball, passes and even breaking defenses by scoring. He is difficult to guard due to his capability in passing and shooting both crucial in breaking defenses.

He shows his worth for sure that's still fact to consider to offer much higher than to trade him. The chemistry between him, AD and LeBron already been established during this season, for basketball fans trading should not be the first option since they've got the ring playing together. Though like what the post above said, money will be the deciding influenced to settle this concern. It will be announce eventually whether both camps got settled or the move will take place.

Only time will tell if AD would remain a Laker but i doubt he will remain in that purple and gold jersey if there is a very tempting offer from other teams as he won't hesitate to sign since he already that championship ring. NBA is business so i think AD would take more money if the opportunity is there.

Yes, but I believe Davis will stay as the Lakers could still offer him a great contract https://sports.yahoo.com/report-anthony-davis-plans-to-opt-out-of-287-m-option-but-will-resign-with-lakers-151255112.html The Lakers can offer Davis a five-year, $202 million deal in the offseason, more than any other team can pay Davis. With that, I think Davis would still want to leave if he wants to earn the best salary because he will be on the top in terms of earnings per year which he will have a 40.4 million per year while the top 1 now is Curry with 40.231 million per year according to http://www.espn.com/nba/salaries.

It's a huge amount of money that an NBA player would want, Davis gets the championship at get's the biggest salary in the NBA, there's no reason to leave if Indeed the Lakers will offer him that amount, he even has a bigger salary than the king.
