So I doubt that he can improved as well in the Lakers since Dwight will be the main center for the team.

I agree with this. DeAndre Jordan is just a name now. The average playing time will be around 10 minutes per game.

Backup for Davis or Howard if they are injured? I doubt. Lakers are playing with no center always. They can do it without a center.

Kendrick Nunn is the best additional player for the Lakers bench. A young player with good 3 points shooting percentage and not even fit as a part of the second squad. He can be a starter too.

Jordan may give some quality minutes coming from the bench, but I believe that it's mostly Howard to play as Center.

The Lakers system is no longer new to Howard he can easily play alongside with Davis and Bron playing with catch and dunk.

And with Rondo, it's more likely that they will use those effective game plays, which are easy for them to execute.
They can let those newcomers to watch and learn, play attention to the rotations and make themselves fit into the system.

LMA goes to Nets and Deandre Jordan goes to Lakers. I believe both of these moves are useless moves, not like they are going to provide anything more than 10 minutes and probably not every game neither, when they play it will be around 10 minutes but their overall average will be like 6 minutes or so from all the minimum amount of games they play.

These are the type of contracts we call "locker room veteran" and both teams knew that they already have as good of a roster as they could get and wanted to fill the last spot by getting a veteran who would be great for the locker room. Think about Udonis Haslem, dude hasn't been a proper player for years now, but he has been at Miami for so long just because dude is like a player-coach type of thing that helps the team. Lakers vs Nets final is looking more and more likely if everyone stays healthy, it could be one of the most watched ones in recent years.
Wow I cannot believe Udonis Haslem is still active. Player-coach type of thing is actually sounds very handy. And he might be great at it.

I also agree that Lakers vs Nets final is very much possible. For years and years, Lakers manages to always get a team with spectacular players. I mean just a team everyone speaks about. I feel like after the last finals, we need some superstars and get a big and more exciting series.

Miami Heat accepted the fact that he is like a supporting player only for years already.
Very soon they might let him go in the roster and put him in the staff. He does bring a lot of energy to the team and the first game in the bubble was the proof of it.

I just realized how fast years fly by a moment ago after I read about other members' opinions.
Suddenly Lebron and Melo are veterans and 3 - 4 more years and they will be retiring and we will be talking about new players with different names. It makes me a bit sad and emotional. I guess some of us here do feel the same way as I do.

Yeah, time flies so fast.

Those veterans will also be on that stage where the other veterans have already taken. I have remembered that Vince Carter was still in the league until he's final game last year.

Well, those that you've mentioned will come next to him.

Nah, he isn't just a supporting player. He's way more than that.
He is one of the definitions of leadership, loyalty, and inner strength of a franchise in the NBA.
He's like an extra coach to teach his teammates the importance of their rules and coach them while they're playing on the court.
If the Heat, let go of him, then he has no business to be on the Heat's bench. So, yeah he might already have a position on the Miami Heat team waiting once he retire.

So LaMarcus Aldridge come back from retirement and signed a one year deal with Nets again. Since this is a hot topic I changed poll, do you think he will be successful or not? Is it a wise decision to return to NBA? He looks healthy now and he is not that old. It was diagnosed as Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome but his medical results are clean. If he feels good why wouldn't he play for one more year? I hope he will be successful, Nets build a great team for this season. It would be excited to see LA in the courts again.

I remember him playing and in the first couple of minutes he got ejected, not sure if it was against Dwight Howard though.

Yeah, most probably he will still works with Miami after his retirement because he provides leadership. He is somewhat of a glue even before Jimmy Butler arrives. Lebron James, Dwade and Chris B all look at him with regards to inner strength of the team.

Aldridge will be alright. The guy is a monster. I think depending on which team can stay healthy there’s a good shot at him getting a ring and ending his career on a high note. The strength of his team should let him play fewer minutes and take some of the strain off himself.

Skill base yes, but mentally due to his recent retirement because of heart problem will be his issue. He is a monster indeed as a big man with shooting skills but I think the Nets will restrict his minutes if they won't see the same rhythm as he did back in Spurs.
I think signing in Aldridge will be the last decision of Nets and their empire is now complete. Damn, it's like a quarter of the All-Star in one team.  Grin

Carsen Edwards, Kris Dunn, and a 2026 2nd round pick of the Celtics traded for Juancho Hernangomez of the Grizzlies. Celtics trying to put more bigger bodies in their roster in exchange for 2 pointguards.

Apparently Monta Ellis isn't the only basketball player looking for a NBA comeback. And that's where the Houston Rockets are leading the way as well.
In fact, they invited Gerald Green to train with the team, the very man who wore the Rockets' red and white jersey as his last NBA jersey. Green hasn't played an official game in the league since 2019, cut from the roster after fracturing his foot in pre-season. In the previous two years, however, the guard averaged 10.3 points per game in about 20 minutes of usage (36.0% from three).
Comebacks aren't always good, let's see.

Also, after KD left, it was a complete rebuild by the GSW, maintaining only their big 3, Curry, Thompson and Green. The rest of the championship team are now gone, maybe except for Andre Iguodala, who is a returning player. Curry was back last year, showing flashes and still at his prime, become the scoring champion, but was eliminated and didn't make it to the playoffs.

But with Klay Thompson back in the team, I think they can make it in this year playoff, but going to the finals will be very difficult as there are a lot of good teams in the West.
Don't forget about Andrew Wiggins. I think he will be better this time if ever the splash brothers will show him how it's done. Those two are scary when they are hot and can be contagious. They could pull Wiggins into being more motivated to win the game rather than just playing around.

Yes, I'm not forgetting about Wiggins, he already proven himself last year, maybe just another increase in his performance and definitely he will be a big factor, big 3 + Wiggins.

Will they be called splash triplets if ever he showed consistency in his game?  Grin I wish Thompson will be back on his old game and not be mentally affected by two consecutive injuries. He was suppose to start the season but was blown by a ruptures Achilles tendon. Reports tell that he may not make a 2021-2022 season debut but possibly in January.

That's the problem, they already have a big 3 already, and Wiggins I would say is also inconsistent last year. That's why I said that if he can elevate his game with Klay on the line, GSW could surprise us in the western conference. As long as Klay can play next season, it will be fine, and hopefully he is back and recovered 100%.

It was not enough IMO, Wiggins has the talent, no question about that but he has to learn how to contribute especially in crucial times. The splash brothers are the best duo in the NBA because they trust each other, and they deliver during crucial moments, so that's something that Wiggins has to learn and with his experience last season, I'm sure he will improve this season.

With how he work with Curry last season, I'm sure he learned a lot. They almost made it to the playoff if LeBron did not hit that lucky 3's.

I fully agree with splash bro duo they are one of the best combo as they played well alongside each other.
and the trust that they've developed with each other is very effective with their campaigns to win a title.

Familiar faces with good guidance coming from the coaching staff, GSW is again a good competitor this coming
season..

Of course, DeAndre Jordan won't get many minutes on the court, but he might be helpful for the Lakers if Davis and Howard are injured for a long time again. Regarding Haslem, I guess the Heat use him as a mental coach for players, especially for rookies.

I hope he won't be ended like Marc Gasol because the Lakers really need a back-up for Anthony Davis. They need him to stay healthy until they get to the NBA playoffs again. this might be a huge change for them but they actually trying to make their team better and they also got Rondo Back. They already get rid of those players who seemed to have no room for improvement in their teams like Kuzma and others. Hope these newly added players will turn the table next season and help the Lakers become one of the top contenders for the NBA championship again.

He was inconsistent, even in the regular season, it really needs more hard work and be more familiar with the system of the GSW so he will improve as a player. The GSW kept him, that means they still trust him to improve and maybe he can be part of the big 3 of the GSW.

His shooting has to improve as well, if you are a real GSW, you should have a good 3 point shooting percentage as even Draymond Green knows how to shoot 3s.

Honestly, I found about this event a short time ago.

What good news, Aldridge is a good player and was a featured player in the Spurs.
I'm cheering for him, I hope the things get better for him as he can still be a key player for the team he will play.

As he walked away from the court in April (if I'm not mistaken), he will have to work hard if he gets to the level he was at before.

Yes, and also go with the flow with how they made defensive plays.
I watched how they rotate like a lot of times from different analysts. Green was really the core when it comes to their defensive and offensive maneuvers.
Switch, pick and rolls or high picks, Green is always there and vocal to make it happen. One more thing that got me curious is how fast they switch the defensive play if the team they are playing with is exploiting the Curry weakness in defense. Wiggins should always be ready for that instant switch which is the job of Klay, Iggy, and Livingston before.

With how he work with Curry last season, I'm sure he learned a lot. They almost made it to the playoff if LeBron did not hit that lucky 3's.
And then he point at his eyes.  Grin

So LaMarcus Aldridge come back from retirement and signed a one year deal with Nets again.
I hope that with his come back, he's healthy enough and this news can't also be accurate most of the time even if they tell that he's clear.

It's wise for him to comeback as long as there's a team that's willing to accept him and as he signs back with the Nets, the roster of the team has a high potential to become successful this season.

I honestly believe that Wiseman is a great potential player as well and they could trade Wiggins to get some side pieces as well. Just keep it Curry-Klay-Dray-Wiseman and then get some side pieces and you will be fine, the fifth person on the starting five doesn't matter way too much because they will simply just use curry-klay combo most of the time and only pass when the fifth is open.

However I believe that they need a great bench, because most of the time either curry or klay stays on if the game is close, and that means they need people around them, like shaun livingston, or younger iguodala, or others like that back in the day. That should help them reach to a place where they are much better and could definitely end up with some more wins if they could make a trade like that.
