Soon 10k sat EGC... Let's see if it can stay or even get over
why EGC so expensive now,one month ago only 300 satoshi?
All in the eye of the beholder. One month ago it was totally undervalued, so you also might say that it's still cheap.

All in the eye of the beholder. One month ago it was totally undervalued, so you also might say that it's still cheap.

It was, as all coins finishing PoW phase, expected to rise.

PoW phase means constant and daily dumping of coins from miners.
Those with too high block reward ends at 1 sat.

PoS phase generates a lot less coins, plus its only made by those having a bag of matured coins.. implying they need to buy it first.

People rarely sell coins cheaper than they bought it, so its a natural upwards spiral.

I believe seeing the developement of both price and project would NOT make people want to jump off now, but hang on to see where it goes.
I also suspect there are bagholder here are in it for more than just a quick buck.

Im in this for the long run.

Id be glad to take some cheap coins if someone dumped.. but i fear that train left the station.

Well it looks like we managed to get out of PoW just in time to avoid the asics.

I knew they would be coming soon. Yes, it is great our PoW was not centralized by such devices.

Yep, they always will.

This one was cute too.

500$ for 150MH/s   x11 miner

274$ for 16 MH/s   R9 390

EDITED.

This looks way too good Shocked

Edit 2:

Uh... same hashrate at all algos?
So little power used....

Did they mean KH/s ? That would seem more correct

Yes, I wondered the same. Even with +/- 10% that looks suspicious. The physical size raises my eyebrow also. Seems very small to make anywhere near that hash. 12V 5A?Huh hmmm

Maybe all that lines up if they did intend KH/S but, 150 KH/S is not worth $500 by a long shot.

Yes it may well be a scam.
I just spotted it in an article on cryptomining blog
http://cryptomining-blog.com/8181-baikal-miner-now-with-asics-supporting-x11-x13-x14-x15-quark-and-qubit/
They also mentioned that they havent been able to test it as their ordering system is pretty poor.

I call bullshit...

X11, X15 and Quark are too different to end up with the same speed.

I think my gpus run X11 about 10 times faster than Quark .... this magic device does all algos at 150Mh/s ...

Smells fishy.

C-cex is staking customers PoS coins, and most likely dumping them on their exchange. When I questioned support about it, this was the response I got.

2016-07-19 14:35:42 C-CEX support
Usually we disable staking. But sometimes when wallet hangs or require resync our staff restart it and forget to disable it. If you don't want your coins staked - just keep them in your wallet.

http://imgur.com/a/EA1bK

Staking gets disabled in the .conf, so no need to disable it when wallet restarts. Funny how none of the other exchanges have this issue........

I got my first ban, after three years, for mentioning c-cex staking their coins. Perma-banned for saying they went to the dark side.

Not looking good, if you look at the what happened towards the end of Craptsy. Too many similarities, and too many scamcoins added each week, probably in house coins. No respectable exchange would list the crap they have lately. They have been listing coins with no block explorers........ Approach with caution!

If any of you have withdrawn from c-cex recently, check your transaction, and see if it came from a wallet that was staking.
I will be posting this in every PoS coin thread that is listed on c-cex.

Good luck with your coin. Maybe without c-cex dumping their stakes, there could be less sell pressure.

You are absolutely correct about disabling staking (staking=0) in the .conf and their response not making complete sense.

I advise all the community to not leave coins at any exchange. They are not your bank and your coins are exposed to far fewer risks by holding them yourself and in your own wallet(s). Just be smart, backup your wallet.dat file(s) and use common sense when choosing what software you install.

Sorry you got banned. Thank you for reporting this here, looking out for fellow traders/buyers, and your wishes of luck.

Which GPU's are you using? I am just curious as Quark should usually be a lot faster than X11.

I did contact the seller of this device on skype (skype account baikalminer) and he did claim all the information displayed is accurate. No typos. Also, I did speak to someone that rented one of these devices and it did deliver the hash. Perhaps we may have jumped to a false accusation. But in this industry, it is wise to be careful.

Baikalminer, the seller, seemed very open and communicative if anyone wishes to discuss his product. Please do research on your own thoroughly before purchasing.

25W for Quark versus 40W for X11, perhaps that explains the hash rate staying consistent.

Some EverGreenCoin investors and holders recently asked me to attend a meeting, which of course I was happy to do so. At the time I was not aware it would be recorded and published, but it has been. I had no idea of the questions and no notes prepared so, I apologize if my answers seem unprepared. Since they have published it, I see no reason why it can not be shared with the community. There is a small language barrier from accents with myself and some of the participants but, for the most part, the conversation is fluid. It is about half an hour long and might serve as some insight to all of you.

so it stand to reason that they would be legit with the other algos ..

Im using AMD gpus mostly.

Was looking on some old notes... they dont seem accurate at all.

I have 3 rigs running altcoins.
Newer notes says:
Quark : 33 mh/s
Qubit: 71 mh/s
X11 : 46 mh/s
X15: 28 mh/s

I think im going to try get one of those Baikal miners for testing.

I read up the part about C-Cex and their staking wallets.
We are not the only ones aware of it.
Spots also opened a thread about it at https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1568277.0

I'm only active at their trollbox atm, but I do my tradings elsewhere and I would advice everyone else to do so as well.

PS: Thx for the link to the interview Steven. Despite the bad quality of recording, I liked it very much.

Great video!
Very very interesting project.

I also like the "pre loaded with coins".
Makes it easier for not very g33ky users.

I suggest making different "packages" ..
Solarstaker with 1k, 5k, 10k and so on.

If it really takes off, i guess the coins will have to be loaded after market price, to not sell out the whole foundation ^^

Good to hear the seriousness too. And actually talking to manufacturers .. big thumbs up.

well - the figures are completely out ...

thefarm processes much more hashrate in quark than x11 - and much more in x11 than x13 or x15 and so on ...

so who knows ...

im not willing to buy and try ...
