Where did you first heard about Bitcoins?

In my personal experience, I first heard of it 1 year ago in a online forum game, people sold gold for Bitcoins, around March, gave it no importance at first. Now im kinda utterly commited to it. Really an interest subject of study.

I heard it from a friend. At first it didnt catch my attention because i thought my friend was joking on me to enter bitcoin and im busy playing online games those days. But when he explain about bitcoin then i tried. My first time it was boring but when i learned some of bitcoin i become interested to it. And now everyday im always here.

I heard about it while searching for a way to exchange my PSC to Paypal (or something like that) which lead me to this forum and this was on the start of 2014 however I wasn't really interested , but with time ... I found my self on videos about Bitcoin on YouTube while I was Youtubing something about Paypal then I got interested and here I'm .

Heard about bitcoin from a friend and that also told about this community.

Almost 98% users have listened about bitcoin from their friends. I am also one of them. My friend was very much worried about my condition in early years because I was really poor. And he found a way out of my poverty and that way was bitcoin at that time bitcoin was just an ordinary thing to try but not bitcoin is life.

I heard it back in 2011 where in there was a huge hype of mining Bitcoin using GPU's and there were numerous facebook groups where they posted they rigs and also had many tutorials for other to follow or even customize their rigs in order to work better.

I heard bitcoin in my classmates and as their friend they owe ro convinvpce me from doing this but i know to myself that I cant handle this that I cant see this in my own hand so they stop and time comes that they are laready exchanging !onye because of the profits, I was shocked and enlightened as well as regret , If I accept bitcoin as soon as possible maybe I can be profitable by now but I refuesd I though this is all scam this is something far from reality, my bad. I also heard Bitcoin from my friend, he told me of the potentials and opportunity circulating Bitcoin and its community,.  I am attracted  by that thing but to my dismay, Bitcoin is quite expensive and would be very hard for m to buy a whole of it so I decided to buy parts and then look for another way to earn it. Thus joining bounties and jobs that pays in either Bitcoin or altcoin.

Actually in 2010 i ignore bitcoin becuase the value is so much low so that's why im regreting when i always think about before, so first i heard about bitcoin is to my friend by the way he's a rich man now.

The first time I heard it was in Facebook. I was a member of group that is all about homebased online jobs. It was all about captchas and pyramiding scheme. I saw some people posting about captchas that pays in btc and then that moment I knew that it's value is hundred of dollars on that time.

Your story is quite amazing. I was unaware of this word “Crypto Currency” even before a year. It was our instructor at university who asked about Bitcoin and other crypto currencies in the class. He then told us about this and motivated us to learn more about it. That was the time when I started this journey and now I am very much happy with what all I get from Bitcoin.

I first knew bitcoin for accidentally meeting someone who was quite strange in my opinion because he talked to me that unemployment can also make money and from there I start curious and then I ask, how can I? then he replied with bitcoin

Bitcoin can help you earn and maybe earn more than you can make in real job.
Here you are in control of your time and as long as you are taking the risk and always positive for improvement, you'll succeed.
This is a job where we can have freedom as we are the boss of our own.

I think so too because here has the freedom to argue with certain rules, and everyone here who follow-up discussions get a lot of profits ranging from income to get knowledge that can not be obtained elsewhere

First time i heard a bitcoin to my co worker so that i asked what is a BTC and then she answer and understand what is a BTC so that i research and understand what are is BTC and then i regestered.

My friend ask or invite me to join bitcoin at first place i don't know bitcoin so I'm not interested  and take serious with it. He still in courage me to try it and I tried it because after few months he got and earn within money.

And that day I registered in bitcointalk.org as for now I am a new be and to be become one of them. Thanks to my friends   I might get also like what they are getting now.

Maybe this is my stepping stone into a new opportunity.

Oh that is something sad to hear. It is so hard to accept the fact that if we would have met a friend in like 2011 or 2012 or so then we got into bitcoin, now we become billionaires. I happened to meet a friend who always talk about bitcoins and thus I was impressed by what actually bitcoins are and see now I am earning something very handsome.
