Not a bad idea after all, with how the market value plays in the last weeks and how annalist project the price to grow, now is just the right time to trade some bitcoin to Ethereum. We can really speculate the value of these currencies just yet but i am sure this will be the major player in the coming bull run.

ETH is used as a platform of decentralized apps, programs, services and this job is doing extremely well but it is not a currency. Therefore, even though the price is increased I will not ever exchange bitcoin to buy eth.
On the other side I am happy to invest some fiat to eth but as I said I can't see them as competitors but as different assets that anyone has if he wants to diversify his portfolio.

All of the coins are cheap or very low for now. Well, i guess by moving it maybe a good strategy to gain more if eth price rise anytime but remember that btc will also be rise anytime. Everything is very cheap. This is right. However, I would never change Bitcoin in Ethereum. ETH will always follow BTC, and I do not see any sense in these changes. Just go on holding your Bitcoins. |

I think not. If I could earn more money then I would invest in ETH because I do not want to sell one BTC to invest 100% in ETH, I think holding a BTC would be better

this seems like a good idea . the price of ether is now no more than five hundred dollars . it also has a lot of room for growth . in January of this year , it used to cost more than a thousand dollars .
I agree with you. I am also very confident that ETH will rebound to $ 1400 in early 2019. But if ETH's price rises to $ 1,000 this year, we can only profit x2. I think I will invest in NEO instead of invest in ETH |

This is a safe investment method. You should not invest too much in Bitcoin because if you do that, you will be riskier than splitting a few assets to invest in ETH. At present prices are very cheap, you should buy ETH today |

I think that it makes sense to have both of these coins in your portfolio. I'm sure that both bitcoin and ethereum will reach a new high of the price this year. We get a lot of good news from the developers of the ethereum, this gives hope for very good growth. At the same time, bitcoin is the foundation of the whole market and the price for it will grow in the first place. |

I think that it makes sense to have both of these coins in your portfolio. I'm sure that both bitcoin and ethereum will reach a new high of the price this year. And it's always a good idea to have investments in the top alts since these already command solid following and support. It's a win win if you have ethereum especially in the long run. |

The ETH is performing stongly recently. The relative price drop is less than that of Bitcoin.
I noticed that too. When BTC fell to 6k, ETH remained $400, although someone predicted ETH will be lower than $350. But ETH grows slowly now. Maybe most people convert into BTC |

That's what you called diversification, you need to do this in order to minimize the risk. The market will grow and it would affect the entire market, it's not ETH alone will grow but of course its competition as well, we might see some surprises in the future so let's look for undervalued coins as well. |

eth price is not soaring but it is actually falling at the moment . and if ever eth would recover , i wont ever convert my btc to eth because the profits that i could get in btc is still bigger that the profits that i can get on eth if ever i invest on it . that is because bitcoin is still expensive when compared to etherium
besides , i did actually convert my eth and other alts to btc because i feel that i cant get a good profit on them . the main reason that i buy eth is mainly for the gas in order to trade my token and alts on etherdelta .

Well that not a bad idea after all considering how cheap Ethereum is right now you can. But keep in mind that Bitcoin is Alsonin a great value to re-invest. Keep in mind the current timeline for the next bull run by the end of the year.

Unfortunately I am new to this business and I do not have bitcoins but I think this is a reasonable solution ! I bought ETH at $ 400 But I'm not worried that my Deposit has fallen in price !
