Website seems to show the pool as down (0 MHash). My miner is still working at the moment using POT on port 80 stratum, will I get credit when it comes back online?
Edit: Is back online now. Thought some of my shares went missing, but they all finally showed up 10-15 minutes after it came back up.

Something weird is definitely going on with the website, my speed is bouncing around from 0 to about half of what it should be. I keep getting the idle worker notifications as well. However, it looks like my round credits are just fine so shares must be going through OK.

I'll admit I moved my miners to a backup pool while this is sorted out. Something's all wonky with the site/widget, and I too am getting idle notifications.

Yeah, I think it's just the site misreporting. If you look at the stats on the 'previous rounds' page, payouts for me look correct and they've been getting sent to my bitcoin wallet. Graet, any updates?

I'm seeing some weirdness too at BTCmine. 1,2 or all three miners will show random 10 or 90% drops in performance when using Guiminer. Other times Guiminer will report connection problems with one or more gpus. eg. miner is idle, longpoll i/o and rpc errors Are the pools getting DDos'd or is it possible that the recent changes to the Bitcoind code may have messed things up a bit ? I remember things being very stable up to the time that the fork and/or Bitcoin 8.0 happened. Btw, when Dad's rig stopped submitting shares today, I was able to restart the miners from my place by changing the password then back again after waiting 20 minutes. F remote desktop ! xD

PPS wont be back for months if it does come back he still has to build up the coins to pay back the loans and make a good buffer for bad luck. More pools will either raise the fee on PPS or remove it all together more then 1 pool has went under cause of bad luck with PPS.

PPS should not be used by any pool. A person with 100GH/s can mine on the pool and withhold the blocks but still get paid almost all their expected earnings. Currently (diff = 11,187,257.46136079) 100GH/s has an expected average of ~5.5days per block. So they would lose only one share every ~5.5 days but the pool would lose 25BTC due to that - or ~4.5BTC a day - or currently > $450 a day. i.e. anyone who dislikes the pool can mine PPS on it and help it to lose money by withholding blocks. The bigger the miner's hash rate, the worse the affect on the pool and the less the affect on the miner.

I am mining PPS on 50BTC.com and eclipsemc.com they don't seem to have any problems with offering PPS if you want it. I would prefer to mine on ozcoin but I am small hash, so I want lower payout threshold and PPS as ozcoin often take a long time to find a block.

Can't that be true for any payment method? A block withholding attack is not limited to PPS.

No, but a block withholding attack on a PPS pool means no loss for the attacker since he's still being paid per share (except for the winning share). For the pool though, a long term block withholding attack by a large hashrate miner would be ruinous. A block withholding attack on DGM or PPLNS means that the attacker gets paid less per share than if he'd submitted the solving share, and the pool itself loses only a small part of it's percentage of fees.

Just looked at my logs/history for the night, and I had around 3 hours of invalid shares overnight. it's all good now, but it was a bit strange to see. on the plus side, its so cold that my cards where running 15*C cooler than usual!

The current round has been going for 25+ hours - wtf??? Has the payout rate already decreased this much so soon after a few BFL Jalapenos have shipped (supposedly)? Currently spending around $6 per day to run 2 machines with 7950s in them (1 main machine I use day to day, and one dedicated for Bc mining) - at this rate earning a huge total of 0.015Bc per day = around $1.78 income ... yes power is VERY expensive here in Aus, and as we as a household use so much power all of my hashing power is essentially at top tier = 38c per kw/h. Looks like GPU mining is over.

OTOH if you buy an ASIC, it'll pay your electricity bills - for a while at least.
