Hi there,

thanks for this great solution. I tried it out, but experiencing problems for which I kindly ask for your help.

SMOS is booting and running smoothly. I opted for mining zcash on Mining Pool Hub with 2x R9 290.
By that I changed under "Rig Group" to Miner Program "claymore-zec-v12.6" with following custom config:

-zpool ssl://europe.equihash-hub.miningpoolhub.com:20570 -zwal myusername.2 -zpsw x -mport -3333

Comparing this to the instructions of https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1670733 it should work.

Also mining process starts with 650H/s - but on Mining Pool Hub no new worker nor hash contribution is shown.

What I am doing wrong? Thank you very much. Cheers, key

Good evening, I have a question regarding RX480 cards.

I have a 12gpu rx480 rig with modified BIOS. While "only ETH" mining 1 random GPU from time to time drops hashrate to 0, and the whole rig restarts. It happens ~1 time per hour.
When I switch to dual mode, the same thing happens within first 3 minutes and then very often rig doesn´t restart by itself like it does in eth-only mode, but turns off.
No undervolt/overclock, just default settings.

Did anybody have the same problem? Are rx480 cards just unable to dual-mine? Could it be because of modified BIOS? I´ve also tried to increase/decrease power stage (5-6-7) and core voltage(900-1100), no results. Any info is appreciated, max rig uptime i have ever had was just under 2hrs... Thanks!

thanks - tried this out, but no luck.
Out of curiousness I tried it with another pool (coinmine.pl) - this worked.

I dont get why it is not working for Mining Pool Hub (they have this nice autoswap of currencies).

Somone here using Mining Pool Hub successfully? Any help is much appreciated.

EDIT: It works ! - I just added a "space" at end of line - ufff

Dear @tytanick,

I have 8 rigs without any problem.

I added new rig with MSI Z170a Gaming M5.

Whenever I try 4g enabled and UEFI, SMOS system does not boot (black screen).

How to write SMOS USB in UEFI mod? For previous 8 rigs, there was no problem (with other main boards).

Thank you. For now I had to run rig with Windows 10 UEFI.

1) Google "(your router brand) (your router model) manual"
2) Download manual
3) Open manual
4) Activate your eyeballs in a left to right motion until you recognize the answer to your question.

You will know it is the answer because it will just feel "right." Good luck!

I applaud your attempt at humor. But not only did you botch the punchline with poor grammar and spelling, but you followed the punchline (the diss) with another diss, "n00b!". A double diss makes you look insecure. Because honestly, if you were so confident about your first diss, you would feel zero need for another (albeit lazy) diss. For future reference, these grammatical and spelling correct alternatives would work:

1) google cognitive dissonance, you might find a cure to foolishness!
2) google cognitive dissonance, you might find a cure to playing the fool!
3) google cognitive dissonance, you might find a cure to fool mentality!

Feel free to copy & paste any of these for your next diss. I permit you; consider it a gift. And before attempting humor again, please read this walkthru: https://www.wikihow.com/Tell-a-Joke

After practicing humor for 10 years, you will become naturally funny, and naturally integrate sarcasm (<new term - google this) into your daily life. And people will enjoy having you around. Good luck!

Hey, before I used win32imager to flash img's to hdd's... now Etcher doesn't see the SSD as removable device and I can't flash the zip with the previous imager... tried to extract the img from zip but 7zip throws few errors during the extraction... I flashed the SSD anyway and it opened a partition with "config.txt" but I don't know if that will work because rigs are not here.... and going back and forth not possible... any help appreciated...

i like smos but iam, using it for amd no problems here Smiley love the way how to manage rig simple and easy and also very stable if you get the correct settings try first without undervolting and overclocking if it runs for a few hours you can adjust settings...

my box 13 gpu mix rx470/570 core 1010 mem 2000

350 mh/s 7 gh/s decred dual mining @ 1860 watts and a very good share rate thats the imprtants point dont try to overclock 2 much like 2250 memory or 1300 on core clock in dual mining it simply wont run 4 a long time espeacialy if you try it with 13 gpus if one hangs total rig can crush or more bad if its frozen !!!! dont try to get highest reported hashrate keep an eye on pool if you get correct shares i had an issue with a rig 7 cards rx470 it reports 190-200mh/s to the pool but it counts for 150-160mh/s only had to reduce the mem clock on 2 cards to 1900mhz and then problem was sloved now it counts 190mh/s on ethermine

sry 4 bad english Smiley

Good evening, looks like you have some experience with AMD cards. Could you please provide stable dual-mining overclock settings for RX480 8gb samsung cards? It works fine in eth-only mode (1200/2040/920mv/power stage 5) but I am unable to run dual-mode, it crashes within first 60 seconds - 1 random card just starts showing 0 mhs and rig reboots (or turns off). Thanks in advance!

I have 3 rigs running SMOS, all identical with 13x 1070s on ASRock H110 Pro BTC+. While 2 of my rigs have been running solid without issues, one has been having issues I'm having a hard time troubleshooting. For example, it was running fine last night before I went to sleep but I woke to it "off" in SM(red), still on, just not mining & the only way to get it back up was to manually reboot it.

I've tried lowering OC settings all the way to 0 with no effect. It actually seems to run better/longer while being OC'd higher. Anyway I've even considered buying a SSRv2 but would rather not is I can get it working like it's 2 siblings.

Is there any way I can better troubleshoot this? Maybe certain logs I could look through or perhaps a way to better determine differences between these rigs?
