dunno if y'all heard this yet...but i just found out and im selling a few etc for ETH ...enjoy guys  Tongue

https://www.reddit.com/r/ethereum/comments/4v2ug3/zksnarks_zero_knowledge_proofs_now_possible_via/
[–]vbuterinJust some guy 33 points 10 hours ago

Basically you will be able to use this to verify arbitrary (computable) claims about information, eg. statements of the form F(x) = y for a known F and y (though x can be private). This can compete with interactive verification as a tool for cheaply verifying expensive computations and serve similar use cases (though sometimes the interactive verification approach is still much more efficient), but the zero-knowledge component also allows for powerful privacy-preserving protocols on top of Ethereum. Examples include:

Cryptographic mixers - essentially, the ZK-SNARK verification enforces the rule that if you put one coin in you can take one coin and only one coin out, but the input-output mapping is completely hidden.
Hawk - essentially, smart contracts with encrypted state, where the full power of the blockchain is still used to verify that state transitions are correct because anyone updating the state needs to include a ZK-SNARK proving that the change from the old encrypted state to the new encrypted state is a valid state transition (proving all of this without revealing what the decrypted old or new states, or the decrypted transaction data, is!).

Only on ETH

Etc will have it too
dont you mean etc might have it, if it works on it? but we wont know unless we try to fork?...
ETH team made it clear they only developing for ETH

If it's gonna work for ETH, it's gonna work for ETC as well. Unless they wait until PoW is over for ETH and put it into their new Scala wallet. I guess ETC will keep PoW and the existing C++ and Go wallets.

In what way can any development that ETH developers do, not simply be copied over to ETC ? It is compatible (essentially identical) open source...

In what way can a tool for ETH (say, any Solidity tool) not be used for ETC ?

In what way is the ETH development team an additional value over ETC, given that anything that the ETH developers can do, also automatically profits ETC ?

It is identical. I dont get all the fuss around this. ETC can easily integrate every change that ETH makes (but skips the bailout forks Wink ) There is no such thing as developing for ETC or ETH only.

Maybe down the road if the ETC community choses a completely different path (in regard to the protocol), but at the moment they are identical.

Yes, but there is a time bomb where difficulty will rise exponentially.  ETH have a plan.  They will switch to PoS in January 2017.

ETC will have to think of something before it ends up costing big money to mine. AND Soon!

I'm having problems with http://classicetherwallet.com/. I tried to send and split my ETH and ETC, but it wasn't a succes. Transaction is not comming through. Or takes a long times.. feels very buggy.
My workaround was sending it to poloniex through http://myetherwallet.com/. And they will credit both. After that I can withdrawal and the ETH and ETC are split.

By the way.

http://etc.coinpool.biz now full supporting NiceHash !
Please use your ETC Address for Username and !!very important!! # as password

Hi folks,

FYI, after pointing 230 MH at ETC on the Suprnova pool for 24 hours and then also on the CoinPool pool for 24 hours, I think I prefer this little pool at CoinPool.  That said, we should get a little more hashing to join us to keep things flowing more consistently.  Say about 2-3 GH?  That would be a nice number from my perspective...  Anyway, I should mention that the performance issues I saw with my Claymore minors on Suprnova could have been due to non-optimal config.

To help, this is how I'm configured on CoinPool and SiaMining.  I'm getting expected hash rates from Claymore on both ETC and SIA:

ClaymoreConfig.txt:

; CLAYMORE DUAL MINER SET-UP FOR Eth Classic on CoinPool:

Watch your temps as Claymore squeezes every last drop of processing out of your GPUs...

Of couse, you'll want to adjust for your own accounts and rig names.

Although you can feel free to test the above and tip me for the help if you want...   Wink

Thanks for the warm words.

do my best to configure pool at best performance. now it is optimized for miners 400 MH/s and below. The Greate pools are on to high diff for miners in range 2 - 100 mh/s total suboptimal.
they get only peanuts and it take days to could payed out.

today i helped a user with only 40 - 50 mh/s. got at time 0,55 etc payed out and hold 7 % at next block. we are now 12 miners at 1,2 GHs in total.bad luck at time one orphaned and this block is at 220 % but overall 79 % variance it seems that etc network are under attack most wallets get stuck at 196600 - 650 and needs a node restart to work propper... at time i am monitoring pool blockno agains 2 reference blockchains and get an alert when it is diff over 4 blocks so that i could take action asap.

DDOS protection works like a charm, since yesterday my pool is under fire but only some hickups at webfrontend, mining isn't interrupted or slowed down. most attacking ips are blocked within max 10 sec. hardware-firewall between server and internetconnection ... DDOS - Protection agains ping flood, synflood-attack, rpc-maleformed-attack etc. seems all things working well and performant.
every german attacking IP will be reported to Bundesnetzagentur (Germany Authority for Telecommunications) they will investigate and cut off the internet connection by law.

I mined for 24h now with 4x R9 280x eth-proxy says 83MH/s.
Got this:

Pending Balance: 0.70575871
Total Paid: 0.58362648

I turn my miner off. This does not pay out for me. Pool is great anyway, lots of shares.

nope your hashrate was ~42MH/s at pool and many duplicate shares produced due eth-proxy, seems to be that eth-proxy do not split unike work to each gpu ....
smallest miner from 11 miner all other 120 - 300 MH/s at 1,2 GH/s overall hashrate at pool. in this time you have mined, we have bad luck 1 orphaned, 1x 1.25 Uncle and 4 high variance blocks so overall you would earn more by permanent mining, variance at your time was above 450 % overall variance is 106 % (yesterday there was some hickups in blockchain) over long time poolhopping will reduce profit...
mining constant for 24 hrs and get Total Paid: 23.41854256 ETC (constant 250 MH/s for 24hrs.) at normal circustances you hat get ~ 4 ETC in 24 hrs.
but variance is not possible to modify it is a lucky game to find blocks under estimated 100%.

see timeframe from    28.7.2016, 12:05:36 to    28.7.2016, 12:05:36 variance was at 35 % ~ (this time hashrate goes up and rise network diff.)
at time nethash is lowering but it takes time that networkdiff goes also down. low networkhash + high network diff = more shares are needed to find a block.

at time i am testing to implement different stratum ports depending on the minerhashrate. will be soon 3 each pool 2 - 100 MH/s low diff, 100 - 300 MH/s diff 0.2, 350 MH/s + 0.4 diff at time testing with 3 GH/s at 0.4 only a invalide share (duplicate share) rate from under 1 %

pool is still in development and will get optimized to get max performance for miners

my mining earning from etc is (average for last 4 days) ~0,00016btc/MHs/day (calculated price 0.0025/etc)

it's better than eth.

ETC is the most profitable coin to mine according to https://www.whattomine.com/coins

agree, but it's not accurate due to pool attacks, net hashrate fluctuation etc.  somebody said that mine too little .. but i think that whattomine is right Wink

There are no "pool attacks" Smiley Whats that ?!

Yes the pools are at war!  getting good results at nanopool.org   Cheesy

Time Bomb! where difficulty will rise exponentially, within 4 months?  If we don't fix it the coin will die? Anyone?

Also, DAG already at 1.6GB.  2GB GPUs will fail before the end of the year because of this.

I think VB will go to Serenity early.  It would be a move that would wave ETH miners goodbye, and leave only stakeholders influencing ethereum.  But would they flock to ETC?  Who knows?

Etc will have everything eth does + immutablity
Haven't heard back from pumphertits since your comment. Maybe it's starting to sink in that ETC can inherit any feature developed for ETH. It's called code merging.

today i helped a user with only 40 - 50 mh/s. got at time 0,55 etc payed out and hold 7 % at next block. we are now 12 miners at 1,2 GHs in total.bad luck at time one orphaned and this block is at 220 % but overall 79 % variance it seems that etc network are under attack most wallets get stuck at 196600 - 650 and needs a node restart to work propper... at time i am monitoring pool blockno agains 2 reference blockchains and get an alert when it is diff over 4 blocks so that i could take action asap.

Sorry, but I'm mining now on digger for about 5h and got the following results:

Immature Balance: 0.06160120
Pending Balance: 0.16530823
Total Paid: 0.62483835

Looks way better, ain't it?
But thanks for your support, which was great

hmm i think you are not getting the combination of networkhashrate, networkdifficulty and needed shares to find a block.
But it is okay everyone is free to choose the suited solution.
Wasn't an offend, was an explaination about how this calculation works.

last 2,5 hrs 2 blocks and an uncle was found, would think that with your avg. 7 % of pool funds you have get ~1 ETC in this short time.
It isn't possible to compare 2 pools when you are not mining at same time with same hashrate.

one of our permanent miner with a little bit more hashrate then your rig, has over 10 ETC payed out since he started to use this pool. (48hrs)

https://www.whattomine.com/ this works for u i guess ^^

Based on the feedback yesterday the wide swings in hash rates at the moment on ETC has made the calculator not very accurate.  I am sure it will get better as things stabilize, but that may be a week or two at this rate.  So don't be shocked if you don't see anything close to What To Mine returns.  I think that is just the state we are in right now.
