Hey guys, my names Bryce, and I'm from a suburb of Detroit. I'm 26, have 10 years of experience with hardware, 5 in software, and 2 in networking, with a degree in software and networking separately, but no certs for hardware because I don't even care about them as they are useless. Currently I pull about 5 GH/s with a few computers. One with 3x7970's, 4x5850, and 2x5870, all running Win 7 x64 with DiabloMiner. I've also "outsourced" 3 5850's to friends that needed new gpu's, under the idea that they must mine when they are doing nothing GPU intensive. Right now I also have 11 BTF Singles and 2 Mini Rigs on order: the first single was bought back on 3/12 which has not arrived yet, the 2 Mini Rigs were ordered on 4/7 this month, and the last 10 singles on 4/13. I registered sometime in January, but only now did I decide to post anything

Hi bitcoin community! Recently I've got involved in this Bitcoin stuff. I like it very much I have to say. Now I just finished my first bitcoin project. It's about betting with bitcoins and is called BitcoinSlots.net https://bitcoinslots.netUnfortunetly I can't write about it in the proper sections in this forum due restrictions, but still I want to show it to the world. I belive Bitcoin has a bright future and hope some day to f..ck up the bank system Respect!

Hi All,
The name's Mike. I got involved with Bitcoins some time ago. After some reading left and right decided to give it a go.
Hope to be a part of the community soon.
Cheers!

I'm Tim (the Enchanter), owner of the meta-pool Squidnet, and developer of multi-currency web applications. Also I have been around on the IRC channels since pretty much the inception of Bitcoin, and have decided to give the board a go.

Hi, I'm new here too. Started mining recently with a couple of 5770's, slow but steady. This bitcoin thing is interesting, but a buddy of mine keeps showing me stuff he bought with bitcoin, so I'm hooked.

Howdy!
My name's Dave. I've been lurking here for a while now.
Currently mining with a single Ztex 1.15x, I have a 1.15y in the mail to (hopefully) arrive next week.
I've also been using Bitcoin mining as an excuse to learn about FPGA development, with the intention of seeing if I can squeeze some additional performance out of the various Spartan6 boards.

A couple of questions. What's the best way to buy bitcoin? Where do the experienced dopers hang out on this forum? I found Silk Road and I need a few tips.

First tip, don't mention SR. Ever. Second, the best way to buy bitcoin depends upon who you are and where you live.

"The powers of financial capitalism had another far-reaching aim, nothing less than to create a world system of financial control in private hands able to dominate the political system of each country and the economy of the world as a whole. This system was to be controlled in a feudalist fashion by the central banks of the world acting in concert, by secret agreements arrived at in frequent meetings and conferences. The apex of the systems was to be the Bank for International Settlements in Basel, Switzerland, a private bank owned and controlled by the world's central banks which were themselves private corporations. Each central bank...sought to dominate its government by its ability to control Treasury loans, to manipulate foreign exchanges, to influence the level of economic activity in the country, and to influence cooperative politicians by subsequent economic rewards in the business world."
- Carroll Quigley, CFR member, mentor to Bill Clinton, from 'Tragedy And Hope'

Hello I am Tom. I started working around the bitcoin short time ago. I am realy impressed by this new money and I personally think this is a completly revolutionary form of payment.
So I am planning to invest money in this and I would like to create my own mining rig. But for this I supose I have to learn a little bit more.
This is why I am joining this community!
Take care

Hello, I am known as Wiz Khalifa. I have been into bitcoins for 2-4 weeks now. I think they are very fascinating and can't wait to use them! I might be a little noob right now but I think I can change that! Thanks!

So I live in the Great Lakes area of the U.S., what would be the most low profile way to turn dollars into bitcoin deposits at a website the name of which must never be spoken? Is there a better place on this board to ask this question?

Hey, I've been on the forum now and then for over a year now, but just reading. Have just one 6870 running guiminer. At this point mostly interested in finding a deal on a fgpa to play with (seems like the direction things will go). Ciao.

please do so! and get a post don't be so negative, the 5-post-4-hour-rule is there for a reason: to get rid of the trolls. NOT to piss newcomers off. relax take it easy and smile. Mod note: If you see anyone spamming this thread, please report it. Spam will result in an immediate ban.Hello everyone! My name is Diego. I'm new these forums but not to bitcoin knowledge. I really would like to reach my 5 minimum post to post in a topic I feel is very important. I, like many others, am having problems with MTGOX and would just like to notify MTGOX members about the problems I'm having. I'm hoping to be allowed to post in this topic especially( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=77213.0 ) since it's a recent one I'm being affected by as well. I hope to learn and inform through these forums. Thank you all for letting me be a part of these community.
