Get me out'a here!

Although I have only just started mining, I have known about bitcoin for quite some time.

I have services to sell.

I plan to sell lessons and private lessons in network security and wireless penetration. WEP/WPA/WPA2 Keys were secure yesterday, not today.

Beginner to Intermediate lessons.
After my overseas holiday I will be opening up advanced lessons.

I will be using bitcoin only as payments for the online lessons.

Lessons will take place in my own private freenode rooms. -SSL is advised.

All legal I can guarantee. I will also be teaching the laws associated with network security.

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

Thought I would give this a go,

I'm not a miner but a software developer interested in discussing some ideas.  Happy to stay in newbie a while if needed but would be nice to get out.  Smiley

Hi,

I have joined the board because I was planning to post a buy offer for a beginner's FPGA board on the Economy > Marketplace > Goods Subforum.

Please let me out of the newbie board!

Hi,

I already posted twice, but now I can't :-( Is this "newbie" policy recently new?

Anyhow, I'm helping with FPGA miner implementation (take a look at my posts) and my github contributions

Yesterday I have set up guiminer on my gamer pc. Have been experimenting with the different miners and parameters to try and fiend the best result.
Tried solo and pool mining and is running for about 14 hours now!

It contains:

Gigabyte P55A-UD3
Intel i7 860
Sapphire reference HD 5870
4GB OCZ DDR3 1333mhz 7-7-7-20
Corsair H50 water cooling
Powered by Antec TruePower TP-650 Smiley

Maybe in the future i will add another 5870!

Hope i will be able to discuss with the people here on this huge "community" forum.

I made some changes to Bitcoin-Qt project and it is hard for me to notify about them creator. It would be nice to establish some cooperation on this project.

I got to get out of this place
If it's the last thing I ever do

But seriously, I was lurking this place for atleast 4 hours before I decided to register. I figured out how to mine based on reading posts from this forum. I'm also interested in discussing economy, politics and society, particularly topics on voluntaryism.

Hi,

Please let me out  Grin

Would like to contribute more to the community, also the fact that I cannot post in the dedicated pool forums is a pain tbh.

I have been mining / trading / lurking on these forums for a week now and would love to get more involved!

Cheers

I've been lurking these forums on and off for a while now and today I finally decided that I had something valuable to add after reading yet another thread about someone getting their coins stolen and others proposing (less than ideal) security solutions.

I would like to create a post (see https://thunked.org/p/view/pub/5pgou9yti for the contents) in the technical discussion or the bitcoin discussion forum (I'm not sure which one would be better for that post).

I hope you consider activating me.

Edit by Maged:
Just so you know, what you are suggesting to post has been discussed several times. As such, I'm afraid that I cannot accept this request at this time. Feel free to re-apply or wait out the restriction.

Hey,
I'd like to get into the discussion on an app I built ( http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=23805.0 ) instead of having to post through a friend with an established account.

For some evidence that I'm not a spammer and that I can contribute to useful conversation, I submit my Reddit comment history as evidence: http://www.reddit.com/user/wolever/

And for evidence that I own this account, I hope that the GPG signature is good enough.

I have been a part of this forum for months and have made numerous posts and would like to be whitelisted. I signed up before "bitcoin fever" hit everyone and started mining on deepbit shortly after they opened. Can you please whitelist me? Thank you.

Would like to post in the hashkill miner thread.

Been lurking here for a few weeks, just set up a dedicated rig, and have some feedback for gat3way about a few haskill-gpu bugs.

Promotion to full posting privs would allow me to communicate w/ gat3way about single-gpu lock-ups on multi-gpu systems, auth issues w/ deepbit after every LP: new block comm, and thermal limiting triggering but not stopping work on the correct gpu (multi-gpu).

Thanks,

Please get me out of here!

I've made substantive replies in the past to the General Discussion board.

http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=7325.msg191756#msg191756

Also my attempt at getting some real information on this board has been met with a single poster post replying with no substantive information whatsoever.

http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=24379.msg303242#msg303242

Please let me out of jail. I promise to be a good boy.

Be nice to get outa here but its ok I can do the time like everyone else.

Wanted to post this but I’m not tested for the troll gene yet damit 3 more posts to go.

Solar PV company owner considering  accepting  Bitcoins

Just started a PV company in the UK and I think I could be of some help to some of the bitcoin miners. I’m only 4 months into start up but I’m really hoping I might be able to accept bitcoins for smaller installations.

Just doing my own house first (3.1KWp) and setting up what I hope to be a around a 7000Mhash/s farm ( yes I know Im late to the boat, maybe im even swimming after it)

Anyway give me a few more months and I hope I can find a way to sell solar systems to UK residents for bitcoin but I'm a Vat registered Limited company so will need to check this over with my accountant who will probably have a melt down at the whole idea. But hey its those guys that need a little shock  Grin

Either way I would aim to help out fellow miners in the UK for a dam good rate (they might need to give me a hand with some of the work etc to get the price really down lolz). <---I have a team so dont worry if hights worry you its just an option for price reduction.

So TLDR: New solar PV company owner considering taking bitcoins as payments for Small PV installations in the UK sometime in the future.

PS yes you get paid the http://www.fitariffs.co.uk/eligible/levels/ even if you use all the juice and don’t actually export a single unit.

EDIT: Will not do off grid systems go to silk road for that kind of thing.

Hi guys

I need some help setting up my 2x systems (system 1 with 2x 6950's and system 2 with 2x 5830's) with GUIMiner.
Should I assign individual usernames and passwords to each cards or the same username and password to all cards?
Will this change my hash rate at all?

Andy

Edit: Sorry, I will start a new topic in the Newbie forums.
You can keep me in this box but it would be nice to be allowed to play with the other users out in the 'real' forums Wink
