I'm the same Gilgamesh as the one responsible for bitgem, I'm willing to verify this if anyone wants me to.

Yes I want out, but by the time you read this I probably already will be, lol.
I want to add my NamecoinGUI which also lets you manage your bitcoin wallet as well. I think it will of interest to merged miners.

I've only made 1 post, but it's awesome Just started in cryptocurrency, but I have some pool-specific questions I would really like to ask in the appropriate threads outside the newbie area. Thanks for the consideration!

I'm trying to get support for GUI miner ( https://bitcointalk.org/?topic=3878.0). I've been mining for 2+ months in BTCguid & ArsBitCoin pools. I have one rig setup as a headless Ubuntu machine, but am trying to utilize another Win7x64 machine using GUI miner. Recently moved to GUI miner from command line scripts, and it's quite a nice little tool. Not sure what else to say? This grey-listing of newbies seems a bit excessive. Have you seen it help spam - as I assume that is the main reason you implemented it?

Don't you just trade spammer mitigation for newbie thread-crapping with your post/time requirements? Posting for numbers seems like throwing poop at any forum newbies can access - it adds no value and just plain stinks.

Hi.
I'd like to get access to the rest of the forum, and I'd also like my thread being moved to appropriate section. Sorry, should have asked here before creating it.

No, you did exactly what you were supposed to.

So this is where I go for a 'presidential pardon' from the bitcointalk newbie jail?
I've spent a lot of time reading the forum since the $30 rush, and I currently mine, so I have no danger of posting irritating "SOMEONE DO MY GOOGLE HOMEWORK FOR ME" posts. I just don't log into the forum that often.

Someone let me out of here.
I need to sell mining equipment and avoid eBay's outrageous fees.

Hello, I would like to be white listed so I can respond to an active thread about our company products. I am a representative of Butterfly Labs. We are a manufacturer of encryption related processors. The forum thread in which we're mentioned is: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=48863.0;allThanks, BFL

Please! Get me out of here!
But really, I jumped mining pools yesterday (from deepbit to a smaller pool) and it would be really nice to be able to communicate with the pool administrator as well as other members in the thread. Thanks!

Argh. I probably should've posted here first about the fix for the "EXCEPTION: 11DbException Db::get: Not enough space" problem, so I could've just responded to that topic directly.
Sorry, mods. I posted it as a new topic in the newbie forum, but it should probably have been posted as a reply to the OP who asked about the error. Quick answer: check the date/time on your computer, and check the debug.log in c:\documents and settings\yourusername\application data\bitcoin\ for hints.
It's not that I know so much about BTC, it's more like I'm good at figuring out the answers to problems like the above. :-)

I would like to be whitelisted so I can:
Toss some ideas around with the fine folks on here about alt-chains, and about the current state and direction of them (and the "core" BTC chain). I've been mining since August, and am now wanting to contribute more than a few hundred MHashes.

I agree that having to wait is a bit of a pain but, I do understand why the forum works this way. Ad

There's a request to buy a php/python/perl driven web page which I would like to answer. It's located here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=46106.0 which, of course, is outside the newbie area. The request is a couple weeks old, and so far hasn't had any responses posted, but I'd like to be able to reply to it sooner rather than later. Regards, Perkins
