We launched a totally new kind of stablecoins - bonded stablecoins.
~ snip ~

Gold-pegged:
OAU - a stablecoin pegged to 1 ounce of gold;
IAU - a stable+ coin that earns 8% interest in gold;
GRAU - growth token which grows with the amount of IAU issued.
You did a good initiative to increase the use cases of Obyte and the popularity as well as adoption of Obyte in crypto.

Would you mind spending a few time to check the project [ANN] GOLD - First 100% Liquid Stablecoin Backed by Gold. It is a token backed by physical gold stored in Bullion Star (check with the account number: 17081)

Assuming that IUSD has liquidity to be traded at fair value. Why would anybody want OUSD, if they could use IUSD alone?

Two reasons:
- familiar unit of account
- buyers would rather spend a currency that doesn't accrue interest and keep the one that does accrue - Gresham's law https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gresham%27s_law

I have just opened a new thread devoted to yield farming on Obyte platform to share my 3-hrs experience with it. My goal was to show all steps needed to open deposit and earn money using ostable tool. Anyone who has interest in this is more than welcomed. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5277729.0

There could be only one occasion when u can open multiple threads pertaining to the same coin. You do this when ur brain is gone from the skull completely or is imbued with perverted thoughts. Thats when your consciousness takes over and sends internal message to the associative zone in your brain to do random stuff. I would say that nothing can be done to revive obyte or make it anyhow relevant to a common investor or whoever is watching ithe forum at present time. Obyte is done and in fact its gone long time ago.

Can you read? They are totally different coins on same network, it's like calling DAI/MKR a same coin as ETH.

This is not about GBYTE, it's about GRD, IUSD, OUSD, GRB, IBIT, OBIT, GRAU, IAU, OAU.

That kind of thinking is what makes you miss all the important innovations in any field. You don't even know what you're talking about but you start throwing insults around straight away. Pretty damn sad.

wrote an easy step-by-step guide how to farm (don't explain that to your grandpa, he'll think you've lost your mind):

Getting Bonded coins:
* go to https://ostable.org/trade/26XAPPPTTYRIOSYNCUV3NS2H57X5LZLJ#buy
* add you single-address wallet address to top-right corner
* mark "Set token1 amount to minimize fees" checked
* enter amount to "Amount of tokens2"
* check if the GBYTE amount on "Send" button is acceptable and click it

Once you have got your growth tokens and interest tokens confirmed
* go to https://ostable.org/trade/26XAPPPTTYRIOSYNCUV3NS2H57X5LZLJ#deposits
* click "Open Deposit" and enter half of the amount of interest tokens you have and press "Open"
* add little bit of protection to your deposit, so it would not get closed so easily (optional)

Last step is for earning trading fees:
* go to https://oswap.io/#/add-liquidity-2/AR3SHS7SFH3PF6ZM6UIF7HWIV44TZ46H
* add interest token to the pool
* add stablecoin to the pool

... and then just wait and watch your growth token value grow and sometimes fall, but mostly grow

Two news about bonded stablecoins:

1. OUSD can now be selected as reserve currency for new stablecoins

2. There is a new stablecoin called OCMC which tracks the total crypto market cap as reported by CoinMarketCap. Its current value is 343.774, which is the total marketcap in billions. You can use it to bet on overall crypto performance: buy when you expect it to rise, sell for OUSD when you expect it to fall. ...You don't even know what you're talking about but you start throwing insults around straight away. Pretty damn sad.

You are right, I agree that such behavior is totally inappropriate and should never happen.

I keep wondering the same thing, how is this possible that this great project is falling like a rock price wise all the time?
Don't mention the volumes and all exchanges which delisted Bytball and then already rebranded Obyte.

@Tonych is working so hard for so many years, keep adding new great things, don't mention that Bytball was only one of a kind when launched, there was no other DAG coin at this time, today we have plenty, but still Obyte is always a step ahead of them because of the developer and his great ideas, like stablecoins now.

I am also here from the very beginning and still have coins from the first airdrop in my wallet, so you can call me a true hodler. I know the hall story, all ups and downs, I have my own thoughts why is so bad, but still, it's hard to believe when I see Obyte at -98% from ATH and only 200% higher from ATL at the end of 2020, don't mention 8k USD in daily volumes and position at number 300 in the CMC ranking.

There was a time when the price was already low at 20$ and Obyte was backed up by big whales like @Marc, still, nothing changed and the price corrected further even to 12$.
I just can't grasp it and think that many of you too because if we have great tech, development and additionally whales backing up the project, then we have the best recipe for success.

So what happened, why it's going like this all the time?

Which exchanges delisted? I know only Changelly swapping site and Cryptopia, which delisted themselves from crypto by getting hacked (probably through some other random wallet that they didn't containerize - rookie mistake). Now GBYTE is on SimpleSwap (ostable.org/buy also uses it) and StealthEX for swapping with other altcoins.
There was also Cryptofacil exchange, but they didn't delist GBYTE, they closed themselves down.

to be short - IMO, lack of materials like articles, videos, posts on forums etc.  that explain all project technicalities in simple, easy to understand wordings. Take for example ostable.org. It is full of ink-horn terms like "capacitor" etc.   that  talk over one's head   but common people won’t waste their time dealing with them. I have created four threads (two of them are in Russian local)  here, on bitcointalk, to show in simple pictures how things work, and I  call upon all those who are not indifferent to the project follow my initiative.

Thanks for spreading the message, great initiative, we need more explanation from different people because people understand things differently, so more people different people explaining things in their way will reach more people who think the same.

Which exchanges delisted?

You are right it was only my thought which I never checked correctly but now, to be honest, I don know what is worst?

That Obyte or Bytebal was never delisted or that it's for so long, listed only on one relatively small exchange Bittrex?

This shows that exchanges have no business in listing Obyte which makes it hard to buy and sell for potential investors which equals low volumes and suppressed price.

...I have created four threads (two of them are in Russian local)...

Yes, I have seen already your work, all I can say is that the Obyte team is lucky to have community members like you, who always try to help.

I have seen already many members like you during all these years and I have read many articles about Byteball, Obyte, BlackBites, Bites, DAG, bots and many other Obyte functionalities or added features on top of it. in between there were fully technical articles but also a simple written for an average Joe, still seems that Obyte is nowhere, at least this is what the price is telling me for a very long time.

Of course "buy the dips" and I am really happy to see these new stablecoins, I think this is a great idea and right on time when stablecoins are in demand, this is a big chance, especially, with such enhanced stabelcoins, like these once are. Still, I would never have known about them if I hadn't read this thread and I have to tell you that I am closely monitoring all crypto news every day, nothing that is important can't escape my attention, so for sure better marketing is needed. More advertising, more community members like you @Xenon131, who will spread the word about Obyte.

Just my 2 GBYTEs  Wink.

Not sure how is it bad that it's not delisted?
Bittrex is not small, they are very legit exchange.
Exchanges are unfortunately not interested in coins that have small communities. So, the price needs to pump, everybody should start making noise about Obyte and then exchanges will have a new look at coin. Bonded Stablecoins is the new best chance, the Killer dApp that Obyte needed.

Just my 2 Obytes.

Obyte is the project (there is only 1 Obyte), the currency would be Obyte Bytes (ticker: GBYTE).

You see, even the names, tickers are so confusing and for me, that is hard to grasp that you have re-branded one time already, exactly to this. (What was wrong with ByteBall?)

When we add

and all that I have written above, then slowly we have the picture of Obyte and reasons why this project is where it is actually.

Another stablecoin: GB2.

It represents a 2x leveraged position in GBYTE vs USD. The price of the token is currently about 23 GBYTE, the same as the price of GBYTE in USD. That is, the price in USD is 23-squared now and is pegged to (GBYTE/USD)2. Try it out https://ostable.org/trade/MCZAGO47NLPO25KOOJHN22PNKEGLQ6XV#buy.

If 2x leverage is too small for you, feel free to create a 10x, just specify the desired leverage on the create page https://ostable.org/create.

Warning: trading with leverage is dangerous as leverage multiplies your losses (and gains).

Bonded stablecoins can take somewhat odd turns and enable creation of stablecoins pegged to ... the price of their own reserve.

The newly launched IGB is one such example, it is pegged to GBYTE + 16% interest. There are no oracles at all, no external price feeds. The corresponding stable token OGB is pegged to GBYTE.

Unlike other bonded stablecoins which create positive externalities by creating tradable assets that didn't exist before, IGB is a purely speculative token, it allows to make GBYTE by locking GBYTE, similar to staking, similar to full moon airdrops we had before.

So I pay Gbyte for IGB, hold the latter  in my wallet and after redeeming it in year get +16 % in return, is this correct? Measured in months it gives  approximately 1 byte for every 100 bytes converted to IGB. Full moon airdrop was  at least 10 times  this estimate.

Yes, for every 1GB, you get 96.666MB per month, which is pretty good when you compare it with other interest bearing tokens.

The reason why it can't have as insane APY as moondrops is that this interest is not coming from distribution fund, but from keeping the price on-peg.

Keep your eyes open for upcoming distributions, there is already one https://medium.com/obyte/distribution-to-buyers-of-bonded-stablecoins-4854b4570a03

Also, providing liquidity to low-risk pool can be profitable, there is link to Google Docs with all the pools in this post https://medium.com/obyte/ask-not-what-obyte-can-do-for-you-ask-what-you-can-do-for-obyte-7c07b30d894c
