I am routing for a drug free Philippines but I do not know if it can be attained a hundred percent.

Prohibition did hurt the US a lot.  It corrupted our police and politicians.  It set a terrible precedent.  That's why we repealed it.

The War on Drugs continued where it left off.  We've gutted our Constitution's Bill of Rights to an empty shell for the sake of getting "Bad Guys."

One thing Americans and Filipinos have in common is they hate drugs that aren't coffee/beer/tobacco more than they love freedom.

But at least in America we at least make supportive noises about due process, and don't endorse summary executions.

And we have federalism, so the States can legalize pot if they want and tell Washington to fuck off and die.

There are 4M and still counting according to duterte, drug infected people, rehab facilities are not enough to accommodate this enormous number of dug addicts. Duterte is already 71 years old and he said that maybe he cant finish his term or cant take more terms. He is fighting drugs to save the youth of the land the children and the future of Philippines. Philippines budget prepared by his predecessor did not include building of rehab facilities.

Those who died are those who fight against the authority who's issuing rights to capture them but insisted.

Those who surrended are still alive and they are more than those who died.

Those innocent victims he said he is not god he cant control whatever happens.

Why prohibit all. President of the Philippines decided to fight the drug dealers - and I think this is a very right step. I am a very bad attitude towards drug addicts. Though I understand that it is an illness, they are captive of this disease. Philippines will be cleared from this. Though it will not happen so quickly

I saw his latest video about what he will be doing in the money that get by him in the countries who he state visit brunei, china and soon japan and russia. He will prioritize the education, agriculture and health which is the most daily needs of many filipinos. His method is slowly and dangerous but it will lead into the right path.
