You have to download v8 again. There was a bug in -mport which has been fixed.

I think it's funny that after every calymore's GPU miner update you can see increase in difficulty. (How many people actually use claymore's miner for zcash ? Propably majority of zcash miners)

anyone messed with clock and memory on RX480 8G? Max I can get is 190/s on reference ones

GPU clock @1400 should push past 200 sol/s

What are you using to change your gpu clock on your RX 480s?  Each time I change mine with afterburner, it immediately freezes and i have to hard reboot.  Any screenshots would be great!

Pulling 1560w to get just over 1800 sol/s on my 290x rig Cheesy

Nice!

My test rig just hit 470 sol/s on 2 x 290 4GB stock all settings no tweaks.

Yesterday someone complained, that one of his 2 GPU's  is getting hotter than the other. I had the same problem, but the cause was obvious.

That is normal for 2 GPU's direct on the motherboard, because the left one gets cold air to cool, but radiates heat into the fans of the right card. That is the reason I ordered a riser yesterday and removed the second card from the MB. Now everything is cool, quiet and fast.

Edit: Well, not really cool. I am heating my room with my PC's, but at least it is quiet  Smiley

Seems zcash has a good prospect in the future...my crystal ball told me..
I think it's time to move from nicehash.. making my own wallet & keep my zec in it..

any recommendation for a good zec wallet (gui or web wallet)?

and recommendation for a good zec pools that pay well?

i just burned a small psu in a rig with 8.0 which was fine with 7.0 (i knew it was at the brink of its capabilities).
No regrets.. it was an old one.

but beware: Definatly usage power increase in this version.

same 1210w from the wall... no increase at all...

I have a Zec wallet on Poloniex I send my mined amounts to.

People have varying opinion about pools but the general consensus seems to be flypool is a good one to go for

380 is pretty much 285 rebranding and for zec mining 470/480 is much better, I am very happy I bought  RX 470 4g for ETH rigs instead of 285  Cheesy

don't have 290/390 but they do

Bravo Claymore!

v8 now gives me R9 390 = 270 H/s per card!

Updates:

R9 290 = 268 H/s

R9 290x = 278 H/s

RX 480 = 172 H/s

R9 Nano = 278 H/s

R7 370 = 110 H/s

3x r9 390 + 1x r9 290 = 1130w-1150w - 1120 h/s
3x r9 390  = 930w-950w - 885 h/s
3x r9 290  = 830w-850w - 725 h/s

in total 2730 h/s = 2890w - 2950w

Thanks my man for the recommendation.... regarding flypool seems you're right.. many people talk good about it here.. I think I'll go for it..

For wallet.. is poloniex safe enough to keep our zec there? I prefer a gui wallet actually.. I don't mind running node for hours to get my own wallet save on my own computer.. I feel safer that way.. I did that with monero wallet..

Poloniex is also a exchange so it should be quite safe to keep your earnings there.

I have never had any problem there except a hiccup with withdrawing Lisk for the Ark io
