I think that he doesn't have any opinion about Bitcoin and just doesn't care. The question is has he even heard of it. He made his fortune on different way and that is what bothers him.
Don't think that the fact he's been elected will influence Bitcoin in good or bad way.

Be careful in what you are assuming. Trump may not know or may not care about Bitcoin but one of his minions will. Those people at the top hire the smartest people who are good at a wide variety of things. I believe Trump will also have fintech people who could or could not be "pro Bitcoin".

The bottom line is Trump will try to make "America great again". That means more taxes for this to come to fruition, to get more taxes is to regulate some more. To regulate some more is to block and make stuff illegal if the cannot control it.

Since the election of Trump to the new US President yesterday, many questions about Bitcoin arise.

Will he promote Bitcoin and make it a breakthrough? Will he even officially ban Bitcoin? Will he make such a bad economic (and monetary) policy that Bitcoin will be seen as an alternative for many?

What do you think, what will a President Trump mean for Bitcoin?
Maybe presedent trump dont care about bitcoin because we dont know if he know about bitcoin. So maybe he dont care of it coz he have no knowledge about it.

I do not think that he really cares about it to be honest, there will change nothing in the future of the bitcoin because of Trump.

Bitcoin marketcap = 11 bi
Trump fortune = 3,7 bi

So I don't think he knows bitcoin or something like that. If the price goes up it's because people start to buy thinking in security.

Let him make america great again but for sure we are exempted to that as no tax here in crypto and there's no law that we follow here, except the forum rules. Grin

Whatever will be his action, it's too early to tell so let's hope for the best.

I doubt that Trump will affect bitcoin much, but many others say otherwise and since Trump became President, I have seen the Bitcoin value reach pretty high, so I'm not that sure. But, yes, I can say that only time will tell what will happen.

Technically, nothing. But speaking as price matter, wich trump may see bitcoin as a chinese market-only and will not support it.But mainly bitcoin its a 10bi marketcap an has a revolutionary tech and cant be ignored. As a side note, bitcoin will just show how cryptography/advanced tech can make politics useless.

if trump starts seeing bitcoin as a good technology and allows a more easier regulations for bitcoin and recognizes it as a real currency that would be so helpful for bitcoin and price will go very high.

There is a FOMO brewing...

Bitcoin is a tiny payment system. Do you think the POTUS has the time to worry about AmazonPayments, PayPal, Bitcoin or ApplePay? What exactly do you think the President of The United States does for a living? I seriously doubt even his advisors will waste his time by mentioning Bitcoin (that is if THEY even know what it is).

If he decreases the taxes for corporations this will be good for the economy and maybe good for bitcoin.

We can`t predict the future.

President Trump probably means very, very little for Bitcoin. I would be surprised if he pays any attention to it in its current state, and chances are he will only mention it once it gets big. He's a numbers man after all.

He's a numbers man who refers to a loan of $1,000,000 as small. Right... I don't understand how he isn't interested in BTC, that's what astonishes me. It seems right up his alley. If he does happen to get wind of BTC I feel like he's the kind of guy to try to Regulate it for his own personal gain. He is the President now people, not just some self proclaimed billionaire.

well, based on what you say he shouldn't even bother with bitcoin because bitcoin is still a very tiny number compared to many other things out there. you think marketcap of bitcoin is even considerable compared to some other marketcaps.
but I think eventually it will all come down to the regulations and then in the end that would only be in one state not the whole world!

I think we can't say that trump as president will affect bitcoin or not, but I prefer he doesn't make any difference with bitcoin developing unless he initiate new regulations about bitcoin which take a long time to do, about 1 year.

President Trump would introduce measures which will surely increase USD exchange rate. It means, we can soon see btc/USD falling.

Since President Trump is a businessman, he would definitely not ban Bitcoin. He may introduce some measures to TAX Bitcoin. Sad

I think its is a coin that represents a candidate for US presidency. Just like HILL coin for Hill Clinton. It promotes them to become more popular.

the taxation will eventually happen and it has already happened in so many places so that wouldn't be a new thing and i wouldn't be surprised if i hear there are taxes for using bitcoin in the US already at work.

but i can not see how what you said in the beginning can change the price of bitcoin! because it has no relation with the price.

Not really mate. Many questions about America's Future (and present) are on the rise.

Will he promote Bitcoin and make it a breakthrough? Will he even officially ban Bitcoin? Will he make such a bad economic (and monetary) policy that Bitcoin will be seen as an alternative for many?
That would make sense if he even had a clue what economy is all about.Frankly,it's not him who takes the decisions, the senate and finance minister does. It's an combined effort.I doubt he even knows what bitcoin is.Being his president or not doesn't really matter to the community anyway.

What do you think, what will a President Trump mean for Bitcoin?
Nothing.Bitcoin is  ran by networks, not corporate slaves.

For all of you that seem confused, taxes are only on purchases and income. In that respect, bitcoin is already taxed in so much as it can be used to pay for someone's labor or purchase goods and services. The POTUS can't implement a tax on something because that item is "just hanging around".
