I see all those news recently about how Donald Trump is adding people in his team that is bitcoin friendly, but im yet to see clear evidence of that. Yes maybe some of them hold some, but how does that automatically mean Trump is going to be bitcoin friendly because of that? They are going to do whatever Trump says because he is in charge and we dont know what Trump things about btc.

For me, I dont see any relevance of Trump to bitcoin as at today because even if he has cabinet members who are friendly to bitcoin then it does not automatically means a safe landing for bitcoin because its not only about them any longer but what is best for the whole country and come to think of it, they are not the president. Trump is and the final decision rests upon him even after considering the report of relevant agencies as relate to a particular course of action...

Even if he thinks good of Bitcoin overall, what does it change?

Does anyone seriously expect him to replace the US dollar with Bitcoin? I'm inclined to think that he himself will be quickly replaced if he ever tried something like that (though it is obviously not worth the effort and he won't ever try that). Let's assume that he is friendly toward Bitcoin and let's remain realists at that. So what could he actually do as a president of the US in respect to Bitcoin?

Trump is gonna grab Bitcoin by the pussy

If we are still looking for government intervention impacts on Bitcoin then whats good about it being DECENTRALIZED ?
So far as I think, Trump will going to have no impact on Bitcoin price untill some scholars are going to give him credit for any up/down coz of other reasons.  Tongue
And yes, anyone observed Yobit today? Two coins TRUMP and PUTIN are gaining really good today  Grin Grin

Oh, did not know that he another Bitcoin supporter in his team. I thought Silicon Valley billionaire Peter Thiel is the only one. Good to know there is also a politican with Mick Mulvaney.

The president Trump is a very rich businessman but now is president of USA. It seems clear to me that he will focus on USA's interests. If these (interests) are related to bitcoin certainly is good for all of us. Besides that I hope that Vice President Peter Thiel who has raised a capital of $ 2 million into BitPay in 2013 https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/what-do-the-tech-ceos-meeting-with-trump-think-of-bitcoin/ will be positive in people awareness and mass adoption of bitcoin and cryptocurrency technologies. I found very interesting an article where the writer claims that if USD crashes under Trump presidency humanity will not accept neither a fiat currency nor a precious metal. But I surprised when he wrote that beliefs are "distributed, network-run system of value" without speaks clearly if this system will be the bitcoin or any other altcoin or any digital currency using as vehicle a centralized type blockchain technology http://www.coindesk.com/will-bitcoin-have-its-moment-in-the-trump-era/.

Trump has to show up China by investing billions in U.S. Bitcoin farms, with management positions given to the U.S. members of BTCTalk who spread the least amount of FUD.

Trump has nothing to do with bitcoins. Maybe he does not even know about the bitcoins. Although there is a trump coin being traded at C-Cex but it has also no relation with Trump either.

@QuestionAuthority: Do you consider it as a good or bad sign for Bitcoin?  Wink

Trump is gonna grab Bitcoin by the pussy.

I do not want this thread for being a place for fud. Could you please provide a source which underlines the claim?

Trump has to show up China by investing billions in U.S. Bitcoin farms, with management positions given to the U.S. members of BTCTalk who spread the least amount of FUD.

"Trump grabs China by the p***y by investing millions in U.S. bitcoin mining farms".

I can just see the news headlines now, lmao.

I think what I'm actually trying to imply in "pussy" terms is that Trump is a fucking clown. His brain is rotten. There's some sort of fungus growing on his gray matter. No one like Trump should be running the free world. He behaves exactly as I would expect from some Idaho farmer with a degree from an Aggie university, educated and wealthy with hundreds of millions of dollars in farming equipment and land. However, his education, experience are wealth leave him severely lacking as a POTUS. He's crude, can't control his own mouth, says things that make no sense, has no experience, has openly made fun of the American people for his popularity and didn't really expect to win.

I think Trump was a ringer for the presidential election. He wasn't supposed to win. Trump and Bill Clinton have been friends for decades. The Clintons were at his wedding. The kids, Ivanka Trump and Chelsea Clinton, are also known to be close friends. Bill Clinton got Trump to question Barack Obama's birth certificate. Trump defended Bill Clinton during his "Lewinsky" sex scandal. His job during the election was to use his name recognition and draw attention away from real republican candidates. After becoming the republican nominee he was supposed to "throw the fight" and force a vote for Clinton. He couldn't believe it when his popularity didn't wane and he made the comment, "I could shoot people in streets and not lose support".

No one really voted for that loose cannon to be president. They voted against Hillary Clinton's obvious evil. The American people and the electoral college so disdained Hillary Clinton that they voted for a trained monkey with a mail order bride that barely speaks English. Trying to predict what that clueless baboon will do concerning Bitcoin is like trying to predict the exact amount of rainfall during the first storm in 2018.

Well, this seems to be mostly a conspiracy theory on your side

I'm not defending Trump, to make things clear right at the start. I'm just analyzing your theory. First, Trump is not an Idaho farmer, he is a New York construction tycoon after all, who was born and raised in Queens at that (a New York borough for those who don't know). So you can't possibly claim that he is a wealthy redneck from Idaho or any such place by any means. It seems that you draw this conclusion based on his look, i.e. from his red face as if it were weather-beaten. Second, Trump may look and behave like a clown, but to get better understanding of his inner self you may want to read his earlier interviews which he gave long before his presidential campaign. I refer mostly to his 1990 Playboy magazine interview. He doesn't look or speak like a clown in it

Since the election of Trump to the new US President yesterday, many questions about Bitcoin arise.

I don't think so, there's no questions by me. I mean he probably didn't even heard about bitcoin.
What he can do for bitcoin? NOTHING i mean, that would be best for bitcoin itself, to leave it from politics, to let it grow naturally.
Politics can do more harm than good.

I think all the wealthy business people know about Bitcoin.  I don't demonize them as antagonists to it.  It's a new industry and converts to fiat, probably always will go hand in hand with fiat.  A lot of big players would be against those who tried to do away with blockchain technology.   Everything "converts to fiat" -- a farmer's crops, an artist's painting, a plumber's service and so on.

Magazines articles aren't captured live like recorded footage. They're easier to pay someone to fake. I didn't mean he was an Idaho farmer. I meant I wouldn't trust him to run the country any more than I would trust a wealthy farmer. Neither have the experience. Only a fool or a ringer would say the things he said during the election.

I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. I think he's a ringer for the Clintons but you're right maybe he's just a fool that can't control his own tongue.

For me I don't see any effect of Trump presidency for bitcoin as we have people being elected all over the world. we have a new president in Ghana, another one coming in, from Gambia, impeachment from the Asia and bitcoin is still standing without having any effect. Even though the political class will have effect on policies relating to bitcoin but I see it as more economical and until Trump can show forth its policies towards that direction then its just going to be another years like that with forces of demand and supply deciding the way of bitcoin.

Trump is businessman and I think he and his team already know about bitcoin and it's perspective. The US already on the first place by investing in bitcoins and I think Trump will create some law to regulate bitcoin and make it to work on him.

Some logic lacks in your reasoning

You say that he doesn't have the experience as a POTUS. But you can't possibly say that he lacks experience as a businessman. This basically means that in no case you can claim he is a fool either since "a fool and his money are soon parted". He is told to have gone for bankruptcy 4 times, but I guess he was just hiding his wealth from the IRS. Given he is not in jail (and as far as I know has never even been close to), we should decidedly admit that he is a smart guy after all, despite all his defiant rhetoric (few can mess with the IRS and not get under press eventually). So, can't he really control his own tongue as he appears to be?

Trump was claiming that he would ban mexican remmitances which would basically push the price of bitcoin up since it would give bitcoin a real reason to be used by a lot of mexicans. Bitcoin in this case would already be a problem for Trump... so yeah I don't see how any president benefits from bitcoin.

This is a very correct statement.

I think Trump could care less about Bitcoin. He's a buissness man if he's not invested you won't here a thing from him. Now that could change if news got him involved.

Trump will not care about bitcoin, if he wants to push digital coin's usage, he will possibly instruct the fed to create a FedCoin or something, he can't use a coin that he doesn't have the control of.

Several signs indicate that, in fact, many things can improve in the economy and this could certainly help the dollar, but I don't think this would have a positive effect on Bitcoin. If people start to trust the dollar more, they will have less incentive to look for alternatives. But there is also a risk that the global economy will go through serious problems in the coming years... if this happens, more people may look to Bitcoin as a solution to such problems.
