Since the election of Trump to the new US President yesterday, many questions about Bitcoin arise.

Will he promote Bitcoin and make it a breakthrough? Will he even officially ban Bitcoin? Will he make such a bad economic (and monetary) policy that Bitcoin will be seen as an alternative for many?

What do you think, what will a President Trump mean for Bitcoin?
It all depends on what will Trump be like now. Were his populist claims only connected to the aim of being elected or are these his real intentions. If the latter, I think bitcoin might become a part of USA's concern. And check out this group on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/Donald-Trump-accepts-Bitcoin-as-the-new-USA-currency-997052920317519/ ! It is not very popular yet but it's cool, I guess.

If Trump see BTC as a China Controlled Currency (Which it is , because they have more than 51% mining capacity).

His Primary Focus will be restoring the US $ to new heights, touting a Chinese Currency over the US $ would be insane.
So expect him to most likely completely ignore BTC or worse case , place Tariffs on all of BTC that US Citizens Receive thru Exchanges.
Tariffs would kill the price of BTC almost overnight.

 Cool

FYI:
Trump is already Supporting a 45% Tariff on all Chinese Imports.
(Declare BTC a Chinese Import and 45% Tariff takes effect almost overnight.)

Do you think it will devalue the chinese fiat?

If yes, I think the bitcoin price can raise because chineses will buy more to have some security...

I don't think he will make Bitcoin illegal or something. Hillary would have obviously done that as she was seeking for full, worldwide control. Bitcoin will be fine in my opinion, and first of all Trump has better things to do before taking care of it. For example, 9/11 and Hillary are way more important causes than taking care of us.

BTC would rise in comparison to the Chinese Yuan,  but both will drop in comparison to the US $.
If you truly believe in Trump's ability to make money, the smartest move is to hold the US $ over BTC.

Not outlaw it , 45% tariff on it.
Basically making money directly off BTC made by Chinese Miners , that would flow into the value of the US $.
Raise the value of US $ by siphoning value from the Chinese imported BTC.
It really would be a Brilliant move on Trump's part.  Cheesy

FYI:
Chinese made products are based on Quantity not Quality.
Which is why the majority of their products suck.

As of December 31, 2015, FDA has received approximately 5,200 complaints of illnesses associated with consumption of chicken, duck, or sweet potato jerky treats,
many of which involve products imported from China, which produces much of the jerky pet treats on the market.
The reports involve more than 6,200 dogs, 26 cats, three people, and include more than 1,140 canine deaths.

Also how many deaths will occur because of their cheap crappy steel.

Here are some of the more memorable—and alarming—recent cases of hazardous Chinese imports:
1. Radioactive drywall
2. Toxic dog food
3. Dangerous sweets : —contained deadly melamine
4. Toxic toothpaste  : it contained diethylene glycol, an industrial chemical used in anti-freeze.
5. Dangerous ginger  : abnormally high levels of the pesticide aldicarb sulfoxide were found
6. Carcinogenic fish   : contain traces of several anti-fungal and antibiotic drugs known or suspected to cause cancer.
7. Tainted toys        : slew of toys containing lead paint, which can harm brain development in children.

I am also sure he is not going to do any mistake like this because his focus is American economy and he will try to settle these bigs problems around him and his country because his all campaign was on just to bring back American alone super power tag which they lost in last few decades just because of ill industry and too many debits

Read an interesting article on NewsBTC this morning which covers the topic.

Will Trump’s Presidency Spell Good News for Bitcoin?
The election of Donald Trump as the next president of the United States has evoked few mixed feelings among the population, but will he be good for Bitcoin? Will Bitcoin emerge as a winner in the United States following the election of Donald Trump as the 45th President of the United States? A significant number of US residents are not happy with the outcome of the recent elections which has created an uncertainty in the market, in turn, reducing the confidence among traders and investors. However, Bitcoin has emerged as a winner in this scenario.

Really? Bitcoin hasn't been below $700 in a while and now it's $688. I think Bitcoin is tied to the US dollar and will track its confidence pretty closely.

The current USD vs BTC exchange rate variation points more to a strengthening of the value of the United States Dollar, rather than a decline in the value of the Bitcoin. Check the USD vs UKP, USD vs EUR and USD vs MXN exchange rates. Ever since Trump's election as the POTUS, the US Dollar has strengthened against all these currencies.

There are a few things that need to be considered when trying to predict Trump's influence on Bitcoin.

Trump is a very successful business man so he will see value in it for what it is but....

He also said that one of his main platforms is that he would like to bring a lot of the US's business back to the US to strengthen the economy. I found this hard to believe because, most businesses do source out the manufacturing and labor because, it is cheaper. Trump himself has sourced much of his business outside of the US. Regardless, it was one of his platforms.

If Trump sees BTC as a threat to the value of the US dollar, or more likely the US economy he very well could issue restrictions on BTC.

If none of this comes up then why would he mess with Bitcoin???

If it's inversely tracking the dollar then Trump could be a killer for Bitcoin.

I don't think that he has any interest in Bitcoin. He may leave this issue to someone in his inner circle. Most probably, establishment guys such as Mike Pence or Chris Christie will draw up the rules and regulations regarding the Bitcoin usage.

Instead of looking at all these currencies separately, which might not provide a definitive conclusion, we'd better look at the USDX, the US dollar index, which reflects the cumulative effect of all major currencies exchange rate dynamics against the US dollar. As we can see in the chart below, there is no significant strengthening of the US Dollar over the last weeks (and it doesn't correlate with the Bitcoin price either positively or negatively):

The dollar just rebounded back from its recent lows, so your theory is not confirmed by the data available

i think president don't care about bitcoin and i am sure that he don't know about it
everything he do , bitcoiner will keep and use bitcoin
But American government always care about bitcoin system. I have read in recent news that they are looking into how they will consider and handle bitcoin ecosystem in their policies across all the states, maybe a common policy for all states. So, the new president will come to know a lot about it, lets just wait and hear what they have planned.

I follow a summary of Bitcoin relevant news daily, but this news is unknown to me. Could you share a link to the source, please? Also, I have not seen any discussion about it yet, although it would definitely be worth it, as I believe this will have a great positive impact on Bitcoin.
