I think that there is investment value because there is implementation of Zcash on Ethereum.
How do you implement ZCash on the Ethereum network? |

I would say, coins like Monero , ZEC, PIVx etc have traditionally been good to invest.

One thing I still trying to understand is why it's a good news for Zcash if ethereum is going to implement the same protocol. Surely that makes ether an alternative to Zcash and impacting its usage? Also do we really need so many privacy coins given that major chains are also implementing zero-knowledge protocols.

Current price of Zcash is US$ 238.
I did see the pump and dump price which hit the +400 mark.
Not a good idea to buy and hold Zcash.

Since Zcash launch, prices have been around the $1000+ mark, however after a few days the price has gone down, and I think that it will continue to do so for the following days until it reaches the total supply of 21 million coins. In my own opinion, Zcash has been overvalued, (considering that there have been privacy oriented altcoins before like Monero) and the fact that Zcash does not enforce anonymity by default (unlike Monero), it makes me wonder whenever Zcash would be a good investment or not. If there is one thing that I don't like about Zcash, is the fact that it is behind a company, as well as having a sort of premine called Founder's reward, which seems kind of fishy to me. Please let me know what do you think about this.  my opinion is that zcash is basically just a premined scam. it has been created out of nothing, then marketed to get value, that exchange sales have been propagated as the value of all zcash units, and suddenly values of hundreds of billions have been created. worst part of this is that national bankers are then starting to gamble with those even more. after zcash team has sold its premine they will abandon it and create a new coin with marketing propaganda for old zcash going into decline and beeing overshadowed by new coins. you are all diseased. regards |

Their biggest drawback is the founder's rewards,and the anonymity,this coin is over hype,zcoin is a much better version I prefer the later than the former..
Soon this coin will lose hype and we will see it's real value.
but from other pespective that makes + go zcash becouse they have bigger motivation to work hard. Everywhere is problem with funding and here is solved some way. Sad part is that will centralize coin hard around certain people. |

Forget about it. Zcash is great...for mining only., go for Zclassic instead...
The situation of Zclassic now is look like Bitcoin in 2009...

Zcash has been very good from a mining standpoint over the last few months. I may pivot to zenccash or hush here soon though

I've been following Zcash for a while and though I do not hold this coin I've read good things about this and I also did my digging and I can say that zcash is good but I don't see it as a long term investment.
