A response concerning scepticism pertaining to our internet sleuths, can't remember whether it was Phin or KS.
----------

This wasn't queried, but it was cool to have it cleared up, basically carried on from the VAT Q;
----------

I also saw in the thread that people think my business with Andreas has a value of 5000EUR. That is the price it costs to register an AB(limited company)

And we have not filed a yearly return yet because its not due:)

Also if you look on our about us page there are 5 of us on there. 3 from ORSoC and me and Andreas.

We all started KNCMiner together so I think people have assumed some things and pieced that together with other things to complete a puzzle that doesn't quite resemble the truth any more.

Hosting
--------

Not really much to say on this, there was a cool idea floating about before, but still waiting to hear if that's a definite;
--------

As for hosting we still have not gotten all the required items and paperwork which allow us to finalize the costs and therefore the price. This brings me back to one of my rules of never over promising. So it will most likely be in the next news letter.

I think it would be a good idea to have some questions prepped for JohnyJ to ask KnC(if he doesn't mind).

Obviously with the Swedes' worshiping the semi-permanent sunlight they get for the summer months causing an acknowledged lackluster in productivity (according to JJ), will this in anyway affect the design and manufacture of their Saturn and Jupiter miners? And, what realistically, are the chances of having those devices delivered in September?

How can they be confident this will happen when both BFL and apparently Avalon have had issues delaying their production beyond reasonable expectations?

These are questions I'd appreciate someone having answered in person. Any more ideas?
--

Also do Tosku and Defxor's friend still want to attend? I'd appreciate more eyes and opinions...Wink

--
EDIT: Sorry just saw Dan99 had wanted the following asked:

Please prepare to take pictures and videos of their factory/office and their FPGA miners. Asked as much questions you possibly can on the Asic Miner and their progress on the litecoin FPGA Miner : ) Most important can they meet the September 2013 dateline. When is the 350gh/s Asic prototype Miner going to be out? July 2013??

I might be going cause i've allready put in a late order, also i'm really close by.

Make a wish list for photos and questions and either me or some other nice swede will comply =)
To make the list manageble just ad a row starting with a *, then define if it's a (Q)uestion or a (P)hoto related request.

COPY LIST and then ADD you request =)

Example:
* Q - Ask them about psu requirements
* P - Try to get a close up of the mounted fpgas
and so on

If i make it there i hope and will try my best to do so, i will try to make the most out of the visit for me and for you too!

What Bitcoinorama says about preparing all the relevant questions for JohnyJ (if he is ok with it), makes all the sense in the world.

We should have a list of all the relevant questions prepared.

Also it'll be nice if JohnyJ can ask them to plug the MARS device to some pool while he is with them recording/taking pictures so we can check from outside that the hashrate is accurate and that it's beeing generated indeed by the MARS device.

If the legitimacy of the FPGA is under scrutiny perhaps either JohnyJ or Daggeteo could take a laptop of theirs along? (So as there's no Cetartec software bewitchery - joke) You may want to check what operating sys prior. Certainly this needs to be done w.r.t. the ASIC prototype.

And all questions should be answered honestly and in depth, unless protecting intellectual property, in which case such questions shouldn't be asked in the first place.

Sam, Andreas, and whoever is representing ORSoC should view this video prior to the meeting: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0vphJil59bo

I guarantee you that the more transparent you are, the more pre-sales you will garner.

Good video and good advice!  I love the Ted Talks videos/speakers.  This is where BFL went completely awry.

Seriously drop it. I just did what anyone else should have done and contacted the guy using an email in this thread and asked genuinely helpful questions, as you can see.  I'm not the only one he has replied to, and I'd sooner be proactive than reactive based on zero evidence to the contrary.

If I don't like what I see once they actually supplied something worth being critical of, believe me I will be vocal about it. As of this moment they've yet to butcher an old ATX board and superglue component parts and photoshop fake chips, so I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

Also, I'm not 100% sure about this, but aren't annual reports by their very nature yearly?

Out of interest, who for sure (members of this forum) is actually situated in Sweden (or close to), specifically Stockholm?

I am living 20km north of Stockholm. Low post count on me though, but back in 2011 I posted a few times in the opensource fpga miner thread (running on some xilinx eval boards).

Go for it, ask JohnyJ (he's a hero member) where and when, I'm sure he'll sniff you out if you're a double agent Wink be good to have someone with FPGA experience there...

I called Stockholm and verified they do have internet in the summer.
Get this, they even said youtube works! Holy ****! I didnt expect that!

Not to take anything away from whoever "hero" member johnny is.. but maybe we can all be hero members for the day if they do a webcast.

Hell, im sure we can all put on name tags that say johnny at home and play along. In fact fek it.. for the next couple of pages on this thread .. call me johnny too!

Now i know with all the "old" snow and stuff ..and considering nothing in Sweden works in the summer its a long shot but..

If we can find someone that can hold down the rec button... maybe someone else can hold on to the rabbit ears so we can all watch at the same time!

webcast, livestream, youtube, youtube live stream, ustream, vidblaster???..(+300 more that i wont mention now)

Hell my new Samsung s4 does 1080p! Something like that might not even exist in Sweden tho. Smartphones ...pffft

before you guys say this is crazy and its not the year 2050 .. i called the mayor of Stockholm and he promised the internet works with old snow now. ..

He did mumble something about not wanting to hold the rabbit ears and how he did it last time and missed half the game..

So in summary! Hero member johnny goes to Sweden ... finds someone who can hold the rec button while he convinces KNC & ORSoC to hold the rabbit ears while we all look .. and then johnny takes a picture of knc & ORSoC holding the rabbit ears in front of the said device while we are watching the stream.

I know i know ... its gonna be tough to find someone to operate the zoom button but hey,
we will get to that problem when we get to it.

If we can sneak in a really big red record button through customs.. oh man that would be it!

Hell johnny could stay home! KNC could press record & ORSoC could pet the rabbit ears.. a lil 360 action???

Im over reaching .. lets stick to johnny and the mayor.. i mean the miner.

Best,
Johnny

Asked as much questions you possibly can on the Asic Miner and their progress on the litecoin FPGA Miner : ) Most important can they meet the September 2013 dateline. When is the 350gh/s Asic prototype Miner going to be out? July 2013??
Did they actually say they're gonna roll with the Litecoin miner? I mean, that's def a good idea, but thought they said the limited time crunch was gonna kill that idea.

No not for Mars v.1, but they will def attempt a Litecoin FPGA Mars v.2 is what they stated earlier to another member on this thread (Pichadpi).

I quizzed them as to whether the v.1 hardware would have upgradable memory for scrypt mining later, or whether early adopters could part exchange, or upgrade to a v.2 Mars using their existing v.1 FPGA chips (and pay for the v.2 board), but they declined;

As for the litecoin FPGA box, it will be sold as a single item and not tied into any bitcoin device currently. We are looking at running it in parallel with Jupiter but there will be no swap out with mars.

To me that would be a huge incentive to buy the v.1 Mars if I knew it wasn't then going to be completely redundant (for Bitcoin mining) so soon and there fore wasted hardware over such a short timeframe. It would also mean a greater return on investment knowing the existing FPGA chips could be transferred from a Bitcoin miner to a Litecoin miner.

I'm not sure what value you see in the "answers" provided, they do nothing to instill confidence.

RE the annual reports, the dates stated on bolagsverket (sorry to the Swedes if I butchered it) and Deloitte are not the same. One states they need to be sent on January 31st latest, the other June 30th. There could be a distinction between private and public AB, but that wasn't clear.

I have put a preorder in to hedge my bets (hey, it's free so far...), but they won't see a dime before proving without any doubt they're legit and capable or pulling this out. And right now, they don't look either to me.

Right now I'm reserving my money for serious projects like the Avalon ASIC/ Klondike one.
