I don't think they will ship for at least a few more days, maybe a week.

according Jupiter launch video they started shipping yesterday.

Gave them a call. Customers will be notified by mail when it's ready for pickup or sent.

These are my numbers for a Jupiter assuming 550GH, no pool fees and 100% uptime. Also original investment of 66BTC PSU+VAT+Shipping (might be less for some), for the next 13 difficulty adjustments (~6 months), assuming you start hashing in 2 days.
In my Spanish excel "," equals "." and dates are in this format "day/month/year"
The % increase per difficulty adjustments I obviously pulled out of my ass, but I think they are consistent with the "several thousand" machines that KNC claim to have already sold, the 500TH friedcat announced for October and bitfurys. I think Hashrate will climb fast to around 3PH and then % increases will slow down, notice how by the beginning of next year we will be aroud 7PH which I think is very plausible.
The break even line is original investment+operating costs.

It looks tight.

Nice calculations, thanks.  This is about what I've been estimating as well.  I think it will come down to how well hashfast does and if they stick to their delivery in ~3 weeks.  I'm optimistic I'll make back my cost (60ish BTC) or at least +/- 15% from it.  Which isn't bad considering a few days ago it seemed rather possible things might go much worse for us.

Also excellent job to KNC.  Whether the machines ROI or not as long as they are shipped relatively soon they can relax knowing they delivered on their promises to customers (late delivery easily compensated by increase in hash rate in my opinion).  I'll be keeping a close eye on what they cook up for gen 2 for sure.

Heat is cost also, please read my post.

I read your post it is nonsense.  The fan on a power supply even at 100% in inaudible over the over all the other system cooling fans (like on a Jupiter means 6 140mm fans).  Having run a 48 GPU farm for 18 months I can say from experience it is a non issue.  The efficiency curve is essentially flat for modern PSU from 20% to 100% load.

If an 850W unit is 95% load (your numbers) that means the load is 807W.  70% load would require a >1150W PSU.  Where is there an 1150W PSU from equal or better brand for $30 more?  It doesn't exist.   Under what conditions would that save $120 annually?  It also doesn't exist.  You underestimate the cost of a larger PSU and overstate the benefits.  Even if you add in the cooling costs and assume low efficiency AC 100% of the year you still don't get $120 in saved energy from going with a larger PSU.  So your $30 increased cost is nonsense and your $120 annual savings are also nonsense.

So one last time your post is nonsense.  Sure one "could" spend $100 more for a 1200W Platinum PSU and it would marginally reduce their operating costs.   However the increased up front cost and the small gain would make the break even point something like 3 to 5 years.  Nothing wrong with doing that but it doesn't mean that going with a smaller gold PSU is a bad idea either.

Newegg,
Coolermaster
Silver 850 169$
Gold 1kw 216
Gold 1.2 kw 249

Why you mention platinum? To fit your post?
Please calculate it again using real prices.

Consider that i was answering about knc buy for datacenter, large operation
For you having exaust temp 59 instead of 45 is not a problem but for ac costs it matters

Think about margin to overclocking and stable voltage, also psu on 70% load mtbf will be much higher.
On large operation replacing psus, downtimes are labour cost, downtime costs.

Ok so is 40$ worth to save ? No. Maybe for you, ok.

4 dies in some sort of MCP. Each one capable of about 25GH/s (or about 35GH/s according to the new specs).

I think KNC's achievement is great. The extra hashrate is more than welcome given the recent spike in difficulty.

BUT....

Why not keep up the good communication? They clearly didn't ship yesterday so we are past the date they promised. The least one would expect is an update on the new expected delivery date. At this point the uncertainties should be much smaller so they should be able to give the dates for the different orders (day 1, day 2 etc).

Please acknowledge that your customers are taking actions based on this information, e.g. booking flights, taking days off etc.

The Eligius way of showing the hashrate on the page is not realy what the devices hashed.

I Have exactly 52.xxxx GHz, a constant hasrate that doesn't go up or down much.
Eligius gives me stats from 43 to 70Ghash

I believe, that all 1st day orders will be shipping today. according to clouhashing, they should start within 13 hours. and yes, this waiting is little bit tricky for all except guys on maternity leave.)
