Forget tracking numbers . Silk road has been busted. btc crashing. $3.5 million in btc seized also.
bodog poker seized too.

Edit: Actually btc price isn't diving as fast as I expected

Yaaay!
Cheap BTC next days - I'm going to grab some more of 'em  Wink

BTC is not abut drugs, more and more mainstream guys&galls are interested in BTC.
From my point of view this decreasing in value  is just a temporary effect for sure.

May I ask how you can seize BTC ?
Do they have them in their wallets or at least the private keys ??

seizing hardware on which a wallet is stored on means nothing, but I guess it's what they did.
If they do not understand BTC and compare the wallet.dat to a real wallet then you're lost since there is the magic concept of a 'copy' another one might hold and transfer the 'seized' BTCs anyhow.

Yes it could be simply hardware acquisition.

On the other hand, as Mr. Snowden and others have shown the world, don't be too quick to underestimate the electronic surveillance and cryptographic capacities of the agencies of the US government.

That's simple. They had kept a hot iron on his chest until he revealed all his passwords and private keys.

Did anyone else get mining activity on their account?  It is already 6:30 in Sweden and I assume they just tested mine on test net, but i could be totally mistaken .

That's actually great positive news!  Grin Bitcoin is free to rise without the negative stigma that that attached itself as a cancer.

If the "kiev" in your nick refers to a location, then I'd say that maybe you're confusing the methods of the US FBI and NSA with the methods of your country's former "guests" the KGB.

I could really use some help with my PSU setup. I got 2 X Enermax Maxrevo 1500W to power 1 Jupiter and 2 Saturns. Here is the distribution of the virtual rails:

I plan on connecting my Jupiter with 4 cables (each cable has 2 X 6+2 PCIE connectors, but going to use just one connector for each cable) using 12v3 (upper left), 12v4 (upper middle), 12v5 (lower middle) and 12v6 (upper right).
Is this correct? I have no experience working with PSU's...

Yes

Quote
I've also found this piece of info which doesn't make much sense to me:
"The 12V1 rail should ideally power at least half of the peripheral/SATA sockets and not only the 24pin ATX connector. The 12V2, which feeds the first EPS connector, could also feed the other peripheral/SATA sockets. You should, in case you need the second EPS/ATX12V connector, connect its cable either to the middle top socket or to the top right socket that are fed by the 12V4 and 12V6 respectively. These rails provide power to a single 12pin socket and to the peripheral sockets, so don't mix any PCIe connectors with this EPS, something that could lead to OCP activation."

It shouldn't be a problem it is just pointing out that the SATA/Molex/Peripheral connectors are also on rails 4 & 6 so you shouldn't use PCIe on them as well to avoid overloading.  You aren't hooking up giant banks of hard drive or multiple CD Rom drives so it is a non issue.  You can use any of the six high current connectors at the bottom.  Optimally you want them spread out on as many rails as possible.

Quote
Also, since I plan on upgrading the 2 Saturns to Jupiters, the 2 PSU's should provide enough power for 3 Jupiters. But how would I connect them?

You can but it will require modifying or making custom cables.  You have two EPS connectors.  You can't use them directly they won't fit and have different pin out configuration.  However if you cut the EPS end off and replaced it with a 6 pin PCIe connector it would work just fine.  12V is 12V.  The PSU doesn't really care if it is powering a motherboard or hard drive or another couple KNC boards.   Alternatively you could rig a custom cable using the Molex or second motherboard connector.

Note unless you know what you are doing you could do some bad stuff.  You will need to do some self research find out the current limit on each 12V rail, and then come up with a plan from their.  The proper way would be to buy blank PCIe connectors and pins.  Solder the pins and attached them to the connector.  You may be able to rig up something use splice (butt) connectors and an existing PCIe connector.  If all this seems complex and scary you likely shouldn't try.  It isn't rocket science but you should have a good understanding of basic electrical work.

"Ahhh! I'll tell you everything! I used a brainwallet. The password is sheep dog cow... no, it was cow dog water..., no, it was horse tree fence..... aaahhhh! Ahhh!"

10 hours later "Ahhh! No, it was tree grapefruit banana.... no, not that either. It was... ahhh!"

"This guys is good, he's held out for over 10 hours now..."

Bitcoinorama you work for kncminer as a PR guy or what is your function there? And have you always worked for them since the start of this topic message?

ur0pl, please do not take it for granted or complete. It's a brief description of my perception so far.
I followed the story from the beginning and It seems to be this way based on info available in here written by him:

He was an interested customer and payed for his device.
He was visiting the open day, made a good impression on KnC as it seems, so he got a job offered by them.
He refused to work for them until there's no product in hands, but as M.Sc. was impressed by the overall thing he saw.
So he was very pro KnC all time, but never was hiding it nor lied or mislead.
Last week he was asked to come over to Stockholm over the weekend on his expanses as far as I know. Then he accepted the job offer and provided to us  hot infos from the front line without any bigger delay. Thanks again Bitcoinorama!

*edit:
I just dared to answer this questions as he is resting now and others might be interested in it as well and before the next bullshit party starts I've though I'll provide my view.

This is much off topic, and I will let it be after this post, but US currency has a special place with the citizens of the world, as opposed to the governments and businesses of the world.

Do you recall some years ago, when the US announced that a change was being made to the 100 dollar bill to make it harder to counterfeit?  Rumors went around Eastern Europe, which morphed, as rumors do, into the belief that the "old" bills would no longer be honored.  There were great "runs" on banks and currency exchanges, with thousands of desperate people wanting to exchange the bills they feared soon would be worthless.

In that sense, the $100 bill serves the same purposes as gold, or diamonds.  Or, some day perhaps, as bitcoins.

Meh. The 500 Euro note is the banknote of choice for criminals in Europe. The dollar really is not as special as you think.

If they do not understand BTC and compare the wallet.dat to a real wallet then you're lost since there is the magic concept of a 'copy' another one might hold and transfer the 'seized' BTCs anyhow.

Well, if they can easily prove that you used a BTC address to receive/send funds then a judge can hold someone in contempt (in jail) until they disclose the private key. Sure, there are all kinds of ways that one could deny ownership but if they don't convince the judge then they sit in contempt.

That was my point:  for businesses - legal and criminal - the dollar is not so special.  But for people in less developed nations, in Asia, Africa, and continuing in areas of the former Soviet Union, many individuals maintain their hidden savings in USD.

Certainly, in the latter, in EUR currency as well.  But not so much, yet, out of the EU's sphere.

I thought more about family members or a close friend having for ex. a paper copy and now transfer the BTC to another wallet, then one could release after let's say 3 days the key without any impact. So seized or not seized in this case ?  Wink

I'm glad SR is done.  Smiley

I'm not, it was a good place to get cheap generic prescription meds for those who need them. Sad
Yes, there's Canada. But prices were more affordable and reliable sellers.
