The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

50 confirmations?? for real? is taking forever

transaction id: 071577a3638423479540b2eb35631252cb48b63405d81127b66bdbc753af06cb

Maybe Nova will decrease the number of confs,
it depends on them.

Also currently there are pauses between blocks due to the Digishield diff reajustment algo,
it protects small miners, but at the same time these pauses occur,
in the upcoming new release it will be fixed, there will be another diff readjustment algo,
barrysty1e PMd he almost completed that.

The logo has nothing to do with the moon, remove the inscription "MOONCOIN" and nobody will guess about the moon. Absolutely inexpressive. From the category "order 100 business cards and get a logo as a gift".

I agree.
The new logo proposal is not bad in general, but every coin which name starts with 'M' could use this logo.
The logo should be simple, but not only simple, it should be linked to the Moon theme.
The Blue Moon logo matches the idea.

Edit: maybe to use the new logo for Moonlite (ML)?

As a truly decentralized system, MOON is the only coin which is multi-logo one Smiley

Is anything real going on with Mooncoin? Development? Anything?

Every day MOON is worth less and less and it's sinking on coinmarketcap.com.

I simply don't see what the hype is all about. Why wouldn't I buy Bytecoin instead, for example?

read 4 posts above...

i also dont understand why mooncoin price sinks? can you explain?

The last weeks were not good for many coins, look e.g. for HTML5.
People sell coins to buy LTC, now it's almost at its all time high.

Also people who don't believe in MOON, but had it from 2013-2014,
now are happy to sell what they considered as useless coins, it's okay:

I'm impressed.

I last delt with mooncoin in 2013 and 2014, back when Deacon was still the dev of it and Mooncoin was doge's forgotten little sister. Still have a bag of it from those days that hadn't been sold.

I go looking for an up to date wallet so that I can cash out on what I had thought was a troll's pump, and I see signs of a new community building around mooncoin.

There is actual development going on, with an up to date codebase and features, talks of an algo change to shake off those pesky scrypt asics, smart contract features..

Mooncoin might really go to the moon, some years after it was labelled as forgotten and worthless.

My wallet is syncing at roughly 1 week every 5 minutes. It has 3 years of blocks to catch up on.

If you look at coinmarketcap.com, now even coins with zero community, not interesting, unknown coins - have a market cap huger than MOON's market cap.
Let people invest in everything they want, time will tell what a right choice is.

Only several mil new MOON are produced by all miners combined per day and soon there is a reward halving.
And now compare it to how many coins are in buy walls at Bleutrade.

It's not a bad idea to use the new logo for Moonlite... So,I think that  all will be satisfied with this choice.  Smiley

Would you mind explaining what this means please? I'm not a miner and I don't know what the implications here are. Same for the buy walls too!

Buy walls are big buy orders:
https://bleutrade.com/exchange/MOON/BTC

You can always see how many coins are in buy orders.
If a coin is mineable (e.g. MOON), miners mine (create) new coins (that depends on an algo which regulates block rewards), 17906 coins (in total) per block currently for MOON.

These coins increase the number of coins in circulation. It's called mining inflation.
E.g. ETH has an inflation more than 12% per year, DOGE - about 5%, MOON's annual inflation is below 1% currently.
Also unlike ETH and DOGE (and like BTC) MOON has a gradual reduce of block rewards (every 100,000 blocks).

Is there going to be an option of browser-mining? And if it's currently not an opton, is there a possibility that this will be developed in the future?

What do you mean by browser-mining? Is there any coin which supports it?
