As the miner subsidy dwindles, transaction fees will need to power the network.
If they do, bitcoin becomes the worlds best currency and a stable store of value.
If they don't, Bitcoin dies. I have a hard time imagining anything in-between.

I do not completely agree with this approach, when we approach the end of the last bitcoins in circulation, inflation will also have decreased and the miners or those responsible for confirming the transactions will survive the incentive by confirmation, before this happens the hardware will also will have evolved in this direction.

What I do agree is that Bitcoin will not die. Wink

Look like BTC is forming a Rising Wedge inside a Pink bearish channel.
If BTC follows this case, we will have some safe days ahead

i hope that BTC must be Up but I have a no idea her range but like $12000 or $12000+ this year last.

Uh oh, looks like r0ach was right again!

https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/bha10i/bitcoins_from_the_bitfinex_hack_2016_moved_today/

If I was right about Bitfinex being an inside job, you better brace for impact about my other observation that the entire bitcoin price has been controlled by a single entity operating on Bitfinex through fraud all the way from $200 to $20,000.  And that fraud was pushing the price UPWARDS the vast majority of the time.  What's the price when the artificial upwards manipulation is removed?

The fact the 2016 Bitfinex "hack" coins are moving means the jig is up and these losers are trying to sneak off into the sunset and hide on a seastead in Africa somewhere.  We'll see what happens to the price without Bitfinex attempting to rig it upwards 24 hours a day for a span of years.  That is, unless they call up Trump and he says, "Oh, you're a Jewish banker from HSBC?  We'll unfreeze that $850 million in drug money laundering you're doing at Bitfinex pronto then!"

Interesting titbit: Burnside was there at the beginning and end of Quadriga.

The long and the short of this is we should expect https://twitter.com/rolflobker/status/1090542851262423040 further similar troubles at

Coinapult
CEX.IO
EXMO
(BTCC)
chip-chap
...and any other exchanges showing the slightest banking troubles

Please share this to relevant local forums, especially the Ukrainian one, as the evidence against CEX.IO seems sturdiest.

They will not calm down!
How do you like the news on BitcoinSV?

CoinGeek Sponsors Ayr United Football Club

As per the Reuters report on Thursday, Bitcoin SV will sponsor Ayr United for the rest of the current season, as well as the whole of the next season. Founder of CoinGeek, and well known Bitcoin SV advocate Calvin Ayre said this was part of a move to educate people about the ‘original Bitcoin’:

“There is an education underway explaining to both the media and everyday folk that BSV is, in fact, the original Bitcoin. People have heard of Bitcoin but don’t yet understand that BSV is the only blockchain following Bitcoin’s original design.”

Bitcoin SV the emperors new clothes?  Smiley

Seems that scaling is really sexy

Reorgs here btw https://bitsonline.com/blockchain-re-orgs-bitcoin-security/

That seems to be a decent article, hv_ - except to the extent that there are implications that bcash sv is some variation of bitcoin, merely because that bcash variant strives to confuse people into some kind of belief that it is a bitcoin variant...

Otherwise, the discussion of reorgs does touch upon some decent points.

This is the thing btc ticker follower cannot learn, since btc is not open for on chain scaling, the initial Bitcoin rather was build for. BSV shows that path now. And in a very sexy way Wink
