Have a good Sunday and bring Some good Haiku, before I start trying.

Hmm. Vegan breakfast.
The dog looks a little sad.
Lots of fiber though.

Dog just wants some booze
eggs and I presume butter
that isn't vegan

That was back in the era when In-Q-Tel crashed the market on purpose and bought up all the coins for cheap.  Might be a govt wallet.  Who the fuck else neither diversifies or spends a cent after getting a windfall profit?

15 years must have passed since my last visit to Tokyo.
Bad luck, the Emperor of Japan abdicated just a few days ago and his successor has given 10 days of holiday to the people... and like me who has found a few closed places today, many of them are not happy about it.

Anyway, after starting my day with a good breakfast and an hour in the gym, it was time for me to revisit Tokyo.

Egg whites, potatoes, melon, pumpkin soup, pasta, juices...

First stop was once again a Bic Camera, but a much bigger one than I saw yesterday. This one is located at the Shinjuku train station.
It has many  floors and they sell everything : alcohol, food, computers, phone accessories, kitchen supplies...

The only problem is the Bitcoin logo is much more discrete this time. You only see it at the cashier or on a few signs in the store whereas yesterday you could see it clearly at the entrance.

I didn't spend any BTC there but from what I hear there's not many people using this service. The transaction is done off chain and you can use any wallet you want.

My second stop was just across the street, another department store called "Yamada Labi".

It's a bit smaller than Bic Camera but they basically sell the same stuff.

Third stop was supposed to be a money exchange I had heard about, called Samurai exchange. Their website says you can exchange international money for yens and then yens for BTC. Unfortunately they don't offer that service anymore.
They redirected me to another place called Sakura exchange who it turns out also stopped offering Bitcoin exchange.
That's a shame because I had a few bills I wanted to get rid of.
Those two exchanges are located in the same area, in Shinjuku, near this cinema :

After walking quite a bit already, I needed to rest... and to eat.
So I went to a sushi bar to have... vegetarian sushis (I know "what a waste" but I'm vegetarian so...)
They tried to trick me with one sushi that had wasabi in it but it didn't work. I actually ordered more.  Tongue

Back to business and changing areas. I took the train to go to Roppongi, a place full of night clubs, nice cars (I saw a lot of Ferraris and Corvettes but failed to react quickly enough to take any good pictures) and a few places that accept Bitcoin.

That's how I stumbled on a pharmacy where you can pay in BTC via Bitflyer, a local exchange :

There was also these two places, not sure I should talk about them but they're actually here to prove what a bad influence Mr. Ver has had on this city. They're located in the same street.
Notice how the logo is still orange instead of green.
The first one is a pizzeria called "The Two Dogs Taproom"(closed). How smart of them to put the logo on the wrong side of the window. They're probably ashamed.

The second one is a Mexican restaurant named "Amenro La Fiesta"(also closed). Again they seem confused.

Oh and I know you've seen this pic a hundred times already but hey it was there so...

Overall it was a good day even though I was disappointed to find so many closed places because of the holiday.
I kind of knew what to expect. Tokyo is supposed to have something like 4000 retailers that accept BTC, at least that's what is advertised. But of course, that is not the case.
Supposedly there should be 2 ATMs in the city but I'm pretty certain they're not there anymore (though they're listed on coinatmradar).
Anyway that's it for today. Sorry if those pics took a lot of space here.

Oh btw, what's on tv again tonight ? Arf, I'll be in bed (soon now) , I'll watch it some other day.

True, but most of the Japanese food (i.e. the Miso soup) isn't vegetarian.  Angry

Yeah, China also so clean and nice. Good thing they have no brown people there. Who knows what kind of cesspool of inhumanity, pollution and overpopulation it would turn into...
