what about oil? the oral stuff...
If you are asking about CBD tinctures and sublinguals, there are a lot of high quality products available. There is one vendor I came across, both for vaping and tinctures, that I just can't stand the flavor profiles of, but check out "For the People / FTP" CBD as an example. It's full spectrum phyto-good-shit CBD all testing <0.3% THC, with the extraction processes being so refined and clean, that you might as well be drinking pure organic juice-cocktails. CO 2-extraction methods are one helluva fucking thing. We (wife and me) settled with a local product. Grown outdoors, bio stuff. $35 for 10ml at 10% CBD and less than 0,3% THC and therefore legal. The dude that makes this oil is into hemp since decades. I should try to vape it. The growing right wing of our government wants to ban CBD, though. Don't ask about arguments, because they ain't got any. Tomorrow is our re-election. I'm curious of the outcome.

Antidepressants are evil.
If I have a religion, it is my belief in the immutability of the laws of thermodynamics. I believe they apply beyond the material plane. There is no free lunch. All equations will balance. Joy has no meaning without sorrow. Any attempt to circumvent pain will be ultimately futile. Attempting to borrow happiness from the future is ill advised. gave you a merit.

So i guess he meant that knowing (even remembering) that it hurts brings joy by becoming aware how good it feels NOT to hit yourself in the head. Right?

I'd attribute living in rural community of chosen family to be the major threads of any sanity I might still recognize. And I must say, mental illnesses are way more prolific in populations of cities and suburbs vs. communities living with ample space in a quiet nature surrounding. Its such a different understanding of direction and belonging.

My last sMerit for this uncoiny post. We've become denatured. Civilization mean forcing ourself to adjust to unnatural surroundings. Glad of anyone that finally manages to escape. Maybe people will magically start to do what makes them feel good, instead of doing what they think what's good for them. BTC We need more dildos, the green ones.

That and the often total disconnect between your work and the way it benefits your existence. We're designed to build our shelter and grow and catch our food from our surroundings and most of our waking hours were taken up doing it all the while working with our clan. Spending 2 hours a day in a box traveling to another box to spend 10 hours pondering the Mumbai branch's signage gender policy isn't going to give you much succour. Then you return to the box that has enslaved you to pay for it to get some crap rest so you can return to the other boxes again. I've seen people end perfectly joyous relationships because it interfered in the progression of their career in vinyl flooring manufacture or something. Weird.

Well not really sure if I have mental health issues. But I do know that watching a lovely, mostly silent restoration video (preferably with sandblasting) is quite therapeutic. Shrinks should prescribe the links. (ha ha ...that rhymes....how quaint...)

Mental illness is a very real bag of shit, and drugs are very powerful tools in mitigating symptoms, hopefully allowing for a "more normal" life. I can't remember if I've ever admitted to the thread or not, but mental illness awareness is one of the causes I support; suffering from depression and anxiety myself. Better living through chemistry. I recognize I will be on prescribed benzos and SSRIs for the rest of my natural life, because I got dealt a shitty genetic hand, that we can trace back three generations.
Have you read about microdosing psychedelic drugs to treat depressions? Funny that a drug that causes madness in high doses do cure madness in low doses. There are many sites about microdosing, just google it if you want to know more. https://www.theguardian.com/science/2019/may/03/psychedelic-drugs-women-taking-tiny-doses-hattie-garlick

If we are at the point where the general populace needs to be drugged up just to be functional, it's time for a hard reset.

A lot of the youtube machinists have recently gotten into old timey reciprocating machine tools, shapers and planers. I find these videos equally relaxing so I know what you're talking about there.

So i guess he meant that knowing (even remembering) that it hurts brings joy by becoming aware how good it feels NOT to hit yourself in the head. Right? I disagree. Of course you can feel joy without first feeling pain. The receptors/signaling substances that make you feel good are not depending on the receptors/substances for negative feelings to work. (if you see what I mean, I simplify) It's two different things. I very seldom feel bad, and when i do it's all natural feelings, like when I think of my first cat that died 15 years ago, those memories still bring a tear to my eyes. But I feel quite joyful a lot of times. Most of the times however is a just a normal state of wellbeing or inbetween or whatever you want to call it. EDIT: no, civilized citizens do not gather in groups and hit each other in the head, nor do they do it in the privacy of their own home, at least not in my country, if they do in your's please post video.

and that's what's the problem: We're taught to function, no matter what. No functionality = no happiness. Unless you accept yourself as nonfunctional (or else: non beneficial for your society). Then you feel sorry for the ones still trying to function. no matter what.

EDIT: no, civilized citizens do not gather in groups and hit each other in the head, nor do they do it in the privacy of their own home, at least not in my country, if they do in your's please post video. Of course not. I meant that people are "using" pain to get attention by others, which makes them feel good (better) again. They even hurt themselves by trying sooo hard to achieve anything that is valued by others, sometimes even if they (might) die trying. We're highly dependent on attention since the day we were born, that's why we are able to cry right after birth. Or most of us, at least. The trick is to recognize and overcome this habit and give attention to ourselves, starting to discover what we really need. EDIT: This gets too ethical. We need some price action... EDIT2: Anyway, i'm off for sleep now.
