It isn’t clear how PDVSA came to own Bitcoin and Ethereum, or the value of its holdings. But the oil producer has struggled to get paid by customers via conventional channels because major banks are hesitant to do business with a sanctioned entity. Last month, the company received most of a $700 million payment in Chinese yuan after the parties struggled to find financial institutions that would facilitate a transaction.

PDVSA may be hesitant to sell its cryptocurrencies on the open market because it would require the company to register with an exchange and subject itself to due diligence. Instead, it wants the central bank, which officials at the oil company believe is less exposed to potential blocks, to use the crypto to pay entities PDVSA owes money to.

BTC price is so so windy since 2 days, like on Malta island currently.

But my GF doesn't care of the BTC price  

Women will be women always.

The only care about what to wear on the next day and what colours hand bag need to carry and what colours shoes to be purchased.

Being in the most crypto friendly place in the world you would think she would care what the btc price is doing.
I think I saw a documentary saying alot of the restaurants there and hotel even take crypto as payment.
The regulation are definitely putting alot into the governments pockets for not taxing the crypto casinos there its either.

Yeah yeah I know, I live there a part of the year.

To be honest I don't find there are some much restaurants/bars which accept BTC/crypto payment in Malta.

But true, government wants to take the line of blockchain/crypto industry. Online Casinos are not so easy in Malta now, more and more regulations from the maltese government (crypto casino not really concerned, but the other ones yes).

This is quite interesting from a non media influencer to be hearing this news from instead of creating those who are contributing to the fud inwhich the media seems to be causing it to pump up bitcoin in those who are seeing malta as a crypto paradise. Also geared towards corporations who are willing to move there inorder to reap on tax exemptions explained in these documentary over a year ago.
