The forum administrator has announced an art contest to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Bitcointalk.

I'm sure that there are many creative people with a plenty of great ideas are reading this topic which can take a part and win in this competition.

Being primarily a text-based forum, it's not surprising that there hasn't been much original bitcointalk.org art, but I've always thought that this has been a bit of a shame. Therefore, for bitcointalk.org's 10^th anniversary, let's have an art contest!

Prizes:
 - I will distribute at total of at least 1 BTC to the art submissions which I personally like the best, completely subjectively. I might give out more if there are a lot of good submissions.
 - I will give out a ton of merit, probably at least 500 in total, based mainly on effort.
 - Between 1 and 20 (depending on number of submissions) people will receive art contest recognition badges: , based mainly on community consensus of who had the best art. In judging consensus, I will be substantially but not entirely influenced by the total amount of merit your art received.

Post original bitcointalk.org art in this thread along with a Bitcoin address. Any art you post must be created by you. It should be related to bitcointalk.org, but need not be related specifically to its 10^th anniversary.

The contest ends Nov 22 18:04:28 UTC; submissions after that are not guaranteed consideration. BTC will be sent all at once, probably a few hours after the end time.

Keep this thread clean: only post art and discuss the art posted, staying very on-topic. No "reserved" posts, please -- it only clutters the thread.

Man, GRIN just keeps sliding. I always pegged the coin to be valued around $0.50-$1.00, and seems like it's heading in that direction.

It's a worthless shitcoin, a fun experiment at it. Would have worked as a sidechain, were the devs not greedy.

We created a simple trial comparing lump sum to the strategy of investing in the same amount monthly over a year, and found that lump sum still won ~67.9% of the time. Even the arbitrarily reduced dataset showed that Lump Sum beats DCA 60.8% of time.

DCA is still way the fuck more practical for the vast majority of peeps.

Most of us already know that a large number of peeps cannot even come up with a few hundred dollars for an emergency.

Therefore it is way the fuck better for them to invest regularly, as if they were buying a coffee or an extra bag of groceries or whatever and then just forget about it for 5 years or more.
