You make a good point Lambie

Maybe I should run as a politician on a platform of tax cuts based on reductions in defense spending and removing fossil fuel subsidies.

It could be called the “Peace Dividend”.

Yes please.  Smiley

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

In November 2018 we broke down sharply from 6k on Nov 14, it lingered range bound for 5 days around 5500 and on the 5th day it plummeted to the 4ks.

For those seeing thinking the breakdown of 9k is analogous to the 6k breakdown last winter, it should be noted we have lingered for 5 days around 8k since the 9k breakdown and if its a similar pattern we can expect a sharp drop very soon, maybe today.

Holding in this area is critical to avoid further massive damage to price.

Be safe out there.

good find, btw. but the drop was caused by fundamental issues (HashWar).

EDIT: question because I cannot remember. what caused the rally to > $10k from the bottom $3.2k? were there fundamental events for this? not really right?

People fleeing tether into Bitcoin bc of NYAG investigation. Libra hype. Bakkt hype. Front running halvening. Fed went from raising rates to cutting them. Escalating global tensions (Hong Kong protests etc). Chinese state media putting out pro Bitcoin messages. == Perfect storm.

Now we just revert to the mean and still end up somewhere much higher than 3k bottom of 2018 which is very bullish if so.

so I do think I made a mistake if thats the case ... again excuse me.

Ok, I also apologise for any adverse sentiment in that case and will remove my dismissive post of you above.

Very gracious of you.

You deserve most of the backlash that you get from either normal peeps or from those who are more bullish about bitcoin, toknormal - especially making outrageous and largely FUD spreading attempted posts that both tend to come at or towards the bottom of a particular BTC price correction and tend to be wrong.  You are largely a troll/shill who is trying to assert your forum account history in order to attempt to bring some credibility to your ongoing asserted nonsensical posts.

New ATH around 2023, 2024, just at long term log charts have been predicting. Time between peaks increasing as marketcap increases.

Yup and most likely Evan Duffield coin will have 90% coinmarketcap dominance, the same amount of master nodes he own Smiley   Stupidity just never stop at some group of people.

Good morning all

Just a few charts for perspective.

Last day of trading for the month and a local bottom was felt at around $7,714.70 imho. October looms on the horizon with hidden shoals and strong currents. Should be a fairly active month for volume as positions continue to be placed for the coming year.

Yeah, wepork=office rental. Big fucking deal.

I think it's the stats they gather about the work that takes place in their spaces that excites investors, or did. Makes sense as it's probably a very underserved area compared to everyone's porno habits.

I'm amazed all these unicorns have lasted as long as they have. I really thought they'd all be toast years ago. A lot of plate spinning has taken place.

Ref: Adam and the WO thread:  JJG was largely right.  Adam left and set up an alt thread on another forum due to a disagreement with the overall policy during the blocksize debate.

For some time there was no mod at all and Theymos locked the thread.  There was an ultimatum that the thread would only be opened again (in its same form) if there was a new mod.

There were candidates who were prepared to volunteer and a bunch of us sorted out an election to get someone in - which resulted in infofront being given the poisoned chalice.  I was in touch with Theymos at the time and he really didn't want the thread to go, he just needed someone to take it on.

I don't think there is wholesale animosity towards Adam.  Personally I think he did create the whole atmosphere in the first place, and think he is due some credit.  However, infofront has general support and I am not sure many would even want the job - while all of us want 'someone' to do it.

TLDRL
Infofront's role is entirely legitimate - no ifs, not buts.   Adam's credit is due, yes - but he did turn his back on this place, so while some of us remember him fondly, the 'it's Adam's thread' point is moot.

Good summary of the situation. Though Fatman, having been absent for a while, is understandably not up to date on the matter. And he/she has a point. No slight against infofront, who is doing yeoman's work in moderation, but adam should be properly attributed for history's sake.

I would not object if he was credited and I don't disagree.  My trigger was that I don't think infofront deserves a trashing, or that the thread has gone to hell.

Edit: And I forgot 'thank you'
