It's curious that all the people who claim to have all the answers refuse to share them. It wasn't like this pre-segwit.

This is why people are still arguing. Two years of insults and obfuscation does not constitute debate.

I never claimed to have all the answers, so I can't refuse to share them.

The debate is over and there's no going back. Just switch coins if you're upset about it. The solution is that simple.
The debate over a possible new attack vector is not over. If there is a practical reason for changing this bit of the protocol, why won't anyone talk about it?

Has a BIP been submitted on such "changing this bit of the protocol" in order that such BIP terms can be adequately considered and debated?  And if such change gets decent support in terms of discussion, then testing would need to take place regarding such change, too, right?

Vague references to a supposed problem (or need for change) comes off as sloppy at best, and possibly even trollish because it seems to imply a "problem" that might not even exist to any significant or meaningful practical level beyond mere theory.

Maybe BTC can make it through todays downward channel, to the upside, or continues completing the short-timeframed descending triangle.
While writing this, BTC seems to remain within channel boundaries. I'll get a nap (or try to, at least).
I consider tomorrow's action to become interesting.

Somehow the last few days remind me of early september 2018, when we were around $7.3k, and entered capitulation stage in mid december after going sideways at around $6k.
If this repeats, $6k wet dreams could become true. So i'll probably keep at least half of my fiat until feb 2020.

You seriously think we'll reach the bottom just 2 months before the halving? Call me a retarded permabull but I don't buy that, no way.... Cool

You just might be right there. Just imagine having a 25k pages long thread that shows no sign of slowing down....  How do you moderate it considering it is a self-moderated thread?

It's a big un but there are bigger. Like this one - https://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/chatterbox/mpt-the-official-million-page-thread-original/t.1488895/

I can't imagine there are all that many that are larger. It's likely many of the other competitors are gibberish rather than stunningly erudite like this one.

Wow, didn't expect that number of pages:

But as you said, there ain't much good inside those pages. I opened 5 of the pages of that thread, and 4 of them were filled with a single emoticon in each and every post. "Single emoticon" (neither a couple of emoticons nor any letter beyond that).

Now that is a massive thread at gaiaonline but it is full of jargon and is only being pumped for the sake of it. It seems a maximum of 10 posts are allowed there but that is some achievement even though it is full of rubbish.

Back to this thread, it will take some beating to have a longer thread in this forum.

Yeah. I think that one at least long ago degenerated into nothing but point scoring. I wonder how many here have read this entire thread. I arrived six or so months after its birth and must have read not far off everything since then. Don't think I've ever gone from the start. I'll save that for when I'm paralysed from the nose down with little else to do.

Surprising the other ones here that are large.

Never been in any of them other than this.

The 6th biggest, the NXT one, has been dead for five and half years.
