Anyway, pretty funny when i look at Deutsche Bank stock, after 2 days of bloodbath its up with 13%..because co-CEO John Cryan rushed yesturday to reassure investors and staff on the bank's stability, saying that the bank is "absolutely rock-solid"...LOL
That's the guy who seemed to be claiming at Davos 2016 that the only money banks lend out is that money depositors give it. He conveniently 'forgot' about the 90+% of loan money that they zap into creation out of thin air by the very act of making the loan. |

Yeah well there is a reason why Ethereum is so popular. Can't blame the people who solely focus on Bitcoin for missing that, because, well, they solely focus on Bitcoin (and call everything else an altcoin). I saw someone compare Bitcoin to the gold of the internet based economy, and Ethereum to the fuel (the black gold) of it. Ethereum is way ahead of Bitcoin in enabling decentralised apps, where the token is the fuel for running these things.
Do you honestly think the present price action has anything to do with technical merit or adoption? I'm sure it's leagues ahead of btc in multiple aspects. I don't think the overwhelming majority trading it care or know. The only interesting thing about it to them is that it's a rising number on an exchange. |

Bitcoin was intended to have a scripting lang like Ether, but it was taken out for security concerns.
with Ether we can have our "smart contracts" and what not without having to expose BTC to security issues.

Bitcoin Classic Release Announcement
We are happy to announce Bitcoin Classic version 0.11.2, the first release of Bitcoin Classic.
If you installed beta 2, there are no changes except for the version number.
About this Release
This is the first Bitcoin Classic release, focused on doubling the transaction capacity of Bitcoin.
It includes a consensus rule change that increases the block size limit from one megabyte to two megabytes.
Bitcoin Classic 0.11.2 is based on Core version 0.11.2, and is compatible with its blockchain files and wallet.
Roadmap
Our next release will be based on Bitcoin Core version 0.12, and is expected to be ready in the next weeks.
In parallel, we will focus development on features that have been requested by miners and companies for a long time now, and that will help Bitcoin scale on-chain:
Faster block validation
Faster block propagation
These features will help alleviate bandwidth issues tremendously, and will make sure nodes & miners can continue to operate properly, without requiring super fast connections.
More importantly, this will enable Bitcoin to scale to a much higher transaction volume.

Bloq has five customers, including bitcoin startups Circle Internet Financial Ltd, ItBit Trust Company LLC, and KnCMiner AB, and expects to soon add Foxconn Technology Group, which assembles iPhones and other electronics. Garzik said Bloq has raised less than $250,000 from his co-founder Matt Roszak's Tally Capital. The company's board of advisors includes bitcoin experts Andrew Filipowski, James Newsome, Nick Szabo, and Gavin Andresen.
