last time I was this close in buying the tickets but...

Due to recent development it has been moved to a $10.000USD/BTC party

Are there even enough coins for sale on the exchanges?

Don't get fooled by the order book depth. Coins can get to an exchange within an hr. People got smarter (for now) and don't store (as many coins) on the exchanges

Precisely. Why risk bitcoins when they can be stored safely offline until the last minute?

Fiat on the other hand takes considerably longer to move and is less prone to hacking due to identity verification and the banking system.

This is perhaps why upward movements are usually more gradual while dumps are hard and fast.

It's not just you. I got steady 504 errors to the point of checking Twitter to see if Theymos reported a dDOS attack.

He didn't post anything but that's what it seemed like to me.

BTC pumps just like last year.

I think we might hit 6000 cny/825$ before a sharp dump to 650.

so how do we reckon bitfinex is gonna murder this run? surely it's too soon for another hack or outage. i'll expect something genuinely creative from them this time around.

I think its on.

The fact that it's on is clear.

The question is HOW on is it?

Are we looking at $3k or $9k? Maybe $15k?

Hobular trading arriving at the magic 5000 CNY which is entering 2013 territory.

Then we're looking for 5180 for SRB ignition.

Me too, I couldn't login for the last hour and there's nothing on the bitcointalk twitter about a DDOS. It's probably an extra 5000 members an hour trying to login that caused it. Everyone's suddenly interested in Bitcoin again now it's pumping. The more the yuan gets dumped the more Bitcoin gets pumped.

In terms of popularity, Board Stats show a lull, and Google Trends has only showed a very modest uptick. This could well be a good thing, however, as it shows potential for explosive growth later on.

Let's hope that they are people shorting. I'm of the opinion that we need those to continue our journey to the new all-time high.
