EIP 867 is doing its best to destroy ETH right now (protocol for making state changes such as recovery of the Parity funds).
I have this eerie feeling that such measures will not lead to the fall of the likes of XRP and ETH. People don't seem to care, or be too ignorant to understand the implications. i agree, may affect price for a little while, but in the med/long term, im still bullish

I realized something. Bitcoin is free from state control, right? The price is determined organically according to supply and demand, yes? And what happens after a sudden and rapid rise in price? After the boom comes the bust. Down to less than half of the previous high, and only now slowly climbing back up.
Many organic cycles in nature mirrors this, most obviously animal populations. And when you look at the human population over the past handful of hundreds of years, what do you see? Exponential rise, a rocket taking off. But the food supply is limited, and we will eventually hit a hard cap. We will top off at 9-11 billion people. And once we reach the top, what will happen? We will have some percentage drop.
I thought until recently that millions of people, perhaps hundreds of million, were going to die. But no. Billions of people are going to die. And there is a possibility that it will happen within our lifetimes.
I'm going to fucking bed. Hopefully I will have some less horrible nightmares than this.

I think you are correct sad as I am to admit that. Certain personality types have to have that authoritarian fallback. It shows time and again in society, from politics to relationships to blockchains. Why should parts of the newly discovered Cryptoverse© be any different. People need to wake up to the fact that ETH is a shitstorm that will come unraveled at some point....again. https://github.com/ethereum/EIPs/issues/866

The food supply, as any resource, is somewhat limited, but that limit is not hard capped. Advances in production technology can rise that limit radically. In fact, that is what has made possible to sustain current population density. I don't really know what have made you suddenly worry about it.

Welcome to the wider realization The cycles of famine, disease, GSM, and magnetic pole flip are all lining up for a real barn burner over the next century or less. Most are well under way, but MSM does their best to keep the sheeple content with their bread and circuses. You can ignore it, or refute it, but you can't stop the trends.

Bob, can you make any referrals?
The bottom has tapped out for a long while. It's had enough. It's taking an ice-bath right now. Looking mostly upward from here for the rest of 2018. I presumed that we could not have a top without a bottom, and probably it would be better to have a seriously serious professional power bottom rather than some wimpy ass run of the mill bottom.

We technically have enough food for the entire planet, it just doesn't get to certain places. And in my opinion it shouldn't (for free). If we see hundreds of millions of people dying in our lifetime it will most likely be in places like Africa, since they're still playing tribal games in their most primitive form instead of focusing on progress. Don't really see billions vanishing though.

In fact, that is what has made possible to sustain current population density. I don't really know what have made you suddenly worry about it. Those 'advances' have included unsustainable practices that yield poorer and poorer quality foods using petroleum based fertilizers, vast amounts of diesel fuel, and toxic pesticides (that kill off bees etc) not to mention GMO blah blah blah. It's not a good situation. Not to say that more sustainable advances can't happen, but it's going to have to happen pretty fucking fast to reverse damage done while contending with rapidly changing climate. The information is out there, but it's not being spoon few to the populace by .gov and MSM (quite the opposite). You've got to search it out. A couple articles toward the point: https://www.armstrongeconomics.com/markets-by-sector/agriculture/pandemic-can-hit-the-food-supply/https://www.armstrongeconomics.com/markets-by-sector/agriculture/global-cooling-reducing-food-supply/

Oh, surprise surprise, the single entity (that's either a Chinese scammer, some bankers at Goldman Sachs, or the US govt) operating on Bitfinex that's rigged the price upwards ever since $200 is now trying to paint the tape upwards again.

R0ach, do tell, why you aren't taking advantage of such opportunities if they don't come as a surprise. Even if you were to funnel your gains back into what you believe in (silver?). Is it fear? BTW.. surprise surprise, gold and silver haven't done shit again. Sorry, couldn't resist

I dont feel any need to prove or disprove anything to you....dude. I gave you my honest opinion and said the guy has a couple of good points but I cant help but wonder how much he was charging for that seminar. If yours is a thinly veiled inference to the US having a piss poor immigration policy and "yee haw, 'merica is great again" we ought to build the walls higher...sorry...im not biting.
