Ive gone off the Lambo idea lately, they go on fire suddenly.

I have seen how many videos of it. Scary.

I think its because they use actual lava in the engine.

Anyway things happen to me. I would be the one.

Car history and a great V12 (Countach) engine. Just because you can. But the tires of this baby aren’t cheap and don’t start about fuel consumption  Roll Eyes

But... but... what about aesthetics? That thing is one of the ugliest cars ever. A Lambo should be pretty. And sporty. Not like that ridiculous fat box on wheels. SCAM! SCAM! I WANT MY MERIT BACK! :_(

Lambos haven't been pretty since the sixties.

C'on, the one I posted isn't pretty?

whatever. eye of the beholder stuff. they're too brutalist and angular for me. Astons, Ferraris, Maseratis are mostly beautiful and quite fast. Lambos, Mclarens, new Bugattis are functional-looking and very fast...

Fucking hilarious to me. All markets are rigged.  Roll Eyes

Your word choice remains off, Torquester.

It is NOT that "all markets are rigged," but instead they are subject to manipulation by folks with greater resources - however, they are only going to manipulate for as long as they can, and from time to time, markets run away from manipulators.... and in that regard, they have to go with the trend, until such point as they can regain control.  So, I am not denying your manipulation theory, but instead suggesting that you come out with these weird-ass assertions to suggest that there is some kind of overall global theory/practice and control, which surely you should not even believe that yourself, in spite of your ongoing bolsterings in that direction.   Tongue

Bitcoin is unfolding like the dotcom crash — just 15 times faster

Edit: Amazon crashed from a high of over $100, to a low of about $10 in 2000. 18 years later, they hit $1,578. If we apply the same recovery gain percentage to the recent bitcoin low of ~$6,000, and assume 15x recovery speed, we'd hit ~$946,000 in Apr. 2019. This is all based on questionable math and a clickbait article, but still fun to think about.

$946k per btc in about a year? if that comes true I will buy a lambo for everyone that merits this post.

And Bob's statement about EVERYONE being wrong largely amounts to a whimpy-ass and emotional capitulation outburst.

That's, like, your opinion, man.

Still HODLing.

In fact... It could turn into many lambos! Just check what your stash look like today and what your supernatural hodling skills can let you preserve for one more year... Multiply for $946K and divide by lambo.

So yeah, Im totally in for 600watts losing the "bet". Nothing personal. Something tells me he would be happier... even IF having to honor the "unrealistic bet".

E type Jag was super fast. Some say it was the most beautiful car

ever

The E's always melted my heart (deep down a former/motor guy). I rode in an XKE once, that little short-stroke V12 sounded unearthly, to a guy used to V8s/6s. I understand that their big 6 was overall better. Big inline 6s often have more torque, as well.

I never could afford a real Jag, but went on a binge with several Datsun 240z. The IRS (EDIT: That is Independent Rear Suspension, for the tax-wary)  was a very sophisticated concept at the time. Only Jags and Corvettes had that, way back.  Straight 6, dual carbs, nothing at all like that fat and heavy 280zx that was popular. The first few 240s had more horsepower than cubes. That's easy now with computer motors, but astonishing for a factory car in '71-'72. Factory redline at 7k, just a cam and better breathing can give the stock motor 8500 rpm....

EDIT: I still have two '72s, the best year. When my ship comes in, they will live again. Nothing seriously wrong with them, they just need time, that I have to give to the slavery job now.

Meh.  Theres a big big difference between wanting a Lamborghini and wanting to play along with a bet, which if it came to pass would be tremendously epic.

A simple 4 cyl diesel truck is my personal vehicular jam.

And I already own one.

A secondhand ridiculous fat box on wheels could be worth more than the one you want.

A very special secondhand 1990 Lamborghini LM002 sold for $467,000 via RM Sotheby’s in New York.

This cheaper secondhand white version is for sale at $399,950.

The LM002 was about attitude and a lot of money. The rear ‘pick up’ section was actually seating for your quick response bodyguards. There were only a couple hundred made, perhaps they’d suit as access carriages for the $100k party?
