Non-mining nodes count for nothing

Well, the claim is actually that non-mining fully-validating entities provide no benefit to the Bitcoin network. But why let accuracy get in the way of a good satire, when a strawman suits your purpose so much better?

More Bcash double spendings  Shocked

https://doublespend.cash/

jbreher the BCash lover wants to go on and on about how Bitcoin fungibility is somehow "compromised" with SegWit.

But on this BCash compromise (ie. complete failure)? Dead silence. Crickets.

Complete failure? Not at all. For those transactions worth waiting for, you can wait for block inclusion. It is an option that BTC does not give you.

Good morning all.

1h
Slight rise in price over the next 24-36 hours followed by a weekend slump. It starting to look like bitcoin is falling into a typical legacy type pattern lately. Market makers continue to hold the price down in anticipation of the perceived low in August. I can not recommend bitcoin as a buy until this cloud structure ahead of us starts to weaken. #dyor

Anyone got experience with the stuff Alex Jones sells?

My brother tried Super Male Vitality but he said it was making him get angry at work so he stopped taking it.

That would be expected with something like that. Men are the ones who go out and kill stuff, if it actually makes us think in a more masculine way then yeah he's gonna get pissed at all the girly men at work.

It's hard killing things. I deer hunt, and feel bad every time I shoot one. Another one of man's burdens I guess.

How much alt coin diversification is needed? 0%?

Thanks for the link.  Your earlier question comes off as a bit misleading regarding the points that Todd was making, and I don't think that he is directly advocating increasing the BTC supply.

It appears that initially Todd was just describing the dynamics of a currency (such as bitcoin) that has an inflation rate that converges upon zero, and his discussion of the topic and presenting both sides of the argument might serve as a kind of didactic that could allow others to either chime in on one side or the other or maybe in the end, Todd is going to end up leading one way or the other, but the mere presentation of both sides does not mean that he is therein advocating increasing the BTC supply.  Most of the core developers, including himself, seem to lean the opposite even though each of them have decent understandings that security of BTC is based on incentive dynamics that is largely covered by mining reward and fees, and perhaps thoughts that tweaking of incentives might need to be considered over the years if the fee market does not develop in order to off-set the decreasing inflation of the bitcoin levels.

What really piss me, is that there is still not sufficient despair around this forum. Even me, I still hope for btc to pump again soon, this is totally different from 2014 lows, when I was crying alone and thinking about cutting my losses. We need more desperation for the new lows to be confirmed and for tge crypto winter end. Please everybody turn bearish now, maybe we can shake the weak hands faster that way, this bleeding is killing my hope...(and this is good for btc price)

I still can't stop thinking how hilarious it was the bulls called the bottom and popped champagne on this candle.

Yeah, it remains so hilarious for you to: 1) make fun of other people, 2) set up strawman arguments, and 3) continue to post shitty FUD spreading I told you so doom and gloom...   Roll Eyes

They will be trained to... seize Falcons, invade, um, the ISS and nuke planet earth from there in order to colonize it? Not sure, sounds like fun.

No, we need everyone to take longs to be ready to dump on the Bitfinex scammers when they try to scam the price up by fraud as usual.

Like the fat british tea drinker said, control of space means control of the planet. What's anyone gonna do against a rod from god slamming into an airbase? Or a hundred of them. Those things are cheap for what they do.

It's funny that.

Last week we lost a chicken.  What pissed me off is that it took the head off and didn't even eat the rest.  A few days later I get a call at work, the racoon is in my yard in broad daylight.  I rush home steaming...it's on motherfucker.  She's got it chased up a tree.  I don welding gloves, leather jacket, goggles...ladder up against tree...grab a chunk of 5/8" ground rod that was handy.

I get up there and young racoon is looking at me like...WTF is this monkey about?

Anyway, long story, I DID stab him and I DID knock him 30' out of the tree and he had a real bad day...but at the critical moment I failed to focus my energy sufficiently on the killing blow.

It is hard killing things.

It took what is mine.

It WASTED what is mine.

It's just a dumb animal doing what it has to to survive.

Makes perfect sense.

Exactly this. More roach posting. Also we need some photos of silver and gold and people posting how they made a ton of money shorting bitcoin. Also, we need ROOF memes (like that willy coyote thing), not BOTTOM ones. Posts like "bitcoin will never be 10k again" and "bye bye 7k" should be the made daily, I can remember all of this when we recovered from the last bottom.

How is this going to work for many of us? US USA citizens can't even do anything with Bitfinex. The CBOE and COE are cash settled derivatives. Bitmex is a bitcoin settled derivative. So these really have no direct effect on the market. Many of us are not worth at least 5 million USD in order to participate on margins with Coinbase. Does Binance offer margins to US citizens? I know Kraken offers margin trading to US citizens. However, they really don't amount to much and I doubt will have any effect if Bitfinex decides to start pumping. I suppose there are some other exchanges that offer margin trading. However, like Kraken, they don't amount to much or probably won't accept US citizen business.

Why wouldn't you pay for "The Soundtrack to Your Livestm"? He's even gonna let you get rid of some of your Segwit coin.

Haha. Wrong band, but otherwise on target. Touche'!
