This is seriously the most boring season of Bitcorn I've lived through.

At least I was a miner previously to keep things exciting.

Maybe I should tune out until 2020 or something...

My gut tells me we're not going to end this year higher than we did last.

did futures really tame bitcoin? come on honey badger, wake up!

Nope
The bubble burst did. And it's not tamed, it's been dragged into an alley and had the shit kicked out of it.

Now it's groaning in a corner until a garbage truck runs it over in the morning.

Mayor, is that you?

If anyone needs something to do while waiting for shitcoins to implode to zero and for physical silver and gold to go up, I just released the mother of all content mods for the game Divinity Original Sin 2:

https://www.nexusmods.com/divinityoriginalsin2/mods/388

I have that game, but haven't played it yet.

I havn't seriously gamed in over  a decade but the mods sound like they had a lot of thought put into them so this might be worth a try. Whats a good link to a gameplay explanation? The last RPG I enjoyed was NWN with the nephew. Now the only games I keep up with now are 4X and things like battletech and I go back and play MOM, MOO,Xcom and Dungeon Bowl II for shits and grins. Hmm, I may have to jump on a dungeon keeper game for the hell of it later, bullfrog was the shit.
There just is no depth in games these days.

Very deep, open ended, old school style RPG series.

Watching some bitcoin documentary. The price just crashed from 280 down to 100 or so. These losers are all screaming sell sell sell!

"If you bought at 150 and it went to 260 and went down to 150, do you panic sell? Yeah, I don't know what a bitcoin is"

Literally, fun to watch.

OMG it went to 70 on BTCe (on this documentary). You can see who owns Lambos now.

Man this really put the "waaah, it's stuck at 6,000" in perspective. If you could have told these guys that people would bitch about 6k they would be too busy burning down the town with joy.......

Edit: Now they are singing the Bitcoin song. Fuck were we that bad?

Yep.

Bitcoin will hit $50K in 2-3 years for sure. But there is a chance it may happen before the end of 2018. If on 10 August SEC approves the ETF for CBOE, the market will explode. Now everyone can writte comments in SEC page. The chances of approval are much greater than before: CBOE futures working good, SEC decision that Bitcoin is not a security (which by experts is interpreted as another way of saying that SEC is ready to give ETF provided that some condition are met), custody, insurance against theft or transaction failure, regulated exchanges in Japan and South Korea, China with its 0 fee trades is out of the game, and last but not least, the volatility is more like the gold and silver nowadays (the unstoppable rise scares governments and banks of course). So, the chances are pretty good.  Wink

It would be a bit of fun if England won it just as the country itself flew down the toilet.

Presumably it's on now which means I might find the largest electricity substation I can and bomb it just to annoy people.

Overall crypto market-cap still on a decline.

A little comparison:

Total crypto market cap: $252 billion

Total altcoin market cap: $143 billion (top 15 alts have the market cap of less than $100 billion) (the rest around $50b of low-rank alts is very much only "artificial market-cap")
Total bitcoin market cap: $109 billion (bitcoin dominance = 43.4%)

Apple market-cap: $800+ billion
Google market-cap: $650+ billion
Microsoft market-cap: $600+ billion

Jeff Bezos, Amazon CEO worth: $141 billion (more than bitcoin's market-cap)

That link is to read submitted comments.

To actually submit comments is a bit more convoluted.

First, go here and scroll to or search for release "34-83520":

https://www.sec.gov/rules/sro/cboebzx.htm

Then click the javascript 'Submit Comments' link:

Or, if you prefer to click through from the comments page:
>How to Submit Online Comments:
 >Self-Regulatory Organization (SRO) filings:
  >Cboe BZX Exchange, Inc. (CboeBZX)
   >SR-CboeBZX-2018-040 (Release 34-83520)

Or, you can email comments to rule-comments@sec.gov.

The subject line of your message must include the File Number SR-CboeBZX-2018-040

See if you can't do a better job than these yahoos:
SEC comments about a proposed bitcoin ETF are 'liiiiiiiiiit'
