My favorite past time is to watch shorts get liquidated.  Cheesy   There's plenty sitting there ready to be demolished for sure:D

Why buy at 3900, when I'll be able to buy at 2900 soon?

I don't know about 2900, but I will be surprised if 3200 is not heavily tested again. We just touched it for a day, that's not how proper bottom looks like. There should be grind, there should be wall, and only then we can jump up from the bottom for good.

Also, I expect volume to drop during the holidays, as usual, which will give the bears an opportunity to resume control.

The poll says sucker rally 57% vs 25% (18% IDK).

There will be rekt shorts, there will be rekt longs. This we all know. The bit that matters to the gambling trader is: which first?

Seems like you already know the answer d_eddie, since you seem to already be in the practice of betting on both directions.

If I knew the answer I'd bet on one side only. I'm hedging the hedges here.

If there's zero friction to transfer it, it's because no actual value was transferred in the first place.  You can't email a house, a bar of silver or gold, a drumstick, or anything that has any real type of value at all.

Gold can be and most often is traded by exchange of certificate or ownership, you can email people some gold for xmas if you were feeling generous via some service company, people arent throwing gold bars at each other commonly to acknowledge value.    Only final settlement (on net balance not day to day transactional) that might take decades requires actual physical transfer.   Some parts of the world they dont have any proper access to due process and gold is passed but only in small amounts I think, the security for physical transfer discourages this process and gold has been high jacked more then a few times

This seems like an old argument, Bitcoin is useful for being faster, convenient, less costly and with less trust required then this most common use of gold.   The place gold is superior is the price stability and longterm over decades it holds the crown over maybe every other asset for store of value in a very base way, many would refer to land as superior even then.

So gold is for settlement and bitcoin is transactional, I dont see they conflict really.   Two different products for separate jobs

If you want to declare a winner on this, how many are carrying round or even know a shop that carries a gold coin measure/scale to ascertain both dimensions and weight simultaneously.  Then how many know of a shop they can use with BTC.  Without that scale equipment, the trade is done on trust and the hope of no fraud.   Bitcoin is superior for trade and if people keep some gold for a pension I wont argue that one but its a holding more then a trade or transfer

I have found the exact post/decision where I fucked it all badly at the ATH.

Yeah, stops are not foolproof but are better than nothing.

Should have listened TERA right there:

If Tera ever returns people should show due respect. Until he/she/it irritates enough people that they all start up sniping again.

You make no sense.

Tera was calling for prices to go down from $2k all the way up to $20k, so of course, she was going to be correct sooner or later.

Sure, she knew about various trading dynamics, but the extent to which you are suggesting that she is some kind of sorcerer, seems both unnecessary and even a mischaracterization regarding anyone's ability to foresee where the price is going to go.

Called it in 2013 too.

To me it all depends on how big the potential is.
I consider that bitcoin would be worth (in time) no less than $1 tril, maybe much more.
All ups and downs in AMZN and profit taking were WRONG moves until $1 tril valuation.
A simple hold was the only right move because no way one could have followed it's precipitous ups and downs.
I was shaken out of AAPL after the first 10X during bear market, consequently missed on another 10-20X.

I say that btc is worth 1 tril and will not trade until then.
IF btc would be thrown out (fail), then I took my risk and something else would have to pay the bills in eventuality.

I'm hedging so many hedges to hedge on BTC...I am assuming, that I'm now, really, simply, in denial and am in full 'panic hedging' as a way to cope

Report from Iron Mountain had (((govt))) staging a fake alien invasion as a latch ditch effort to try and retain control over the population if the population rejects their control (yes, it's an utterly stupid idea).  Now you have govt shills posting on message boards like Zerohedge trying to lay out the groundwork for this nonsense, as well as the whole Trump "spaceforce" bullshit.  Give it up zio-fags, you're getting holocausted and no fake alien invasion is going to stop that.

I don't have any problem giving deference to posters who back up their ideas, yet frequently Tera did not do that, she would merely proclaim doom and gloom over and over, and if anyone listened to her, they might not have even bought, and likely sold too much too early.

I suspect she had a low amount of bitcoin’s & was bitter about selling way too early (back in the day). She constantly said there’d be dumps.

infofront is right, it is a possibility 3000 or 2900 and it goes up.
I hope to see the Toxic2040 graphic
the shorts are increasing

img -snipped-

I appreciate the mention but my doodle's are sort of like my baking possibly...looks great at 10+ feet. Plenty of better chartist's around.

None of the kid's' could figure what this was...oh well. My Trump in the lower left above didn't go ever so well either.

-------------
As Marcus mentioned, we are now at or approaching positive ROI for mining again. Seems good to me. I think we will see the price consolidate in this range for the next few days or so.

Happy Holiday's everyone.

Why do people keep refering to TERA as 'she'? There is zero reason to do that.  If I recall correctly one guy randomnly started doing that (BJA?), and everybody started copying him.
From the writing style I suspect TERA is male (although of course I can't be sure).

Also, holy crap that is one big green candle.
